  1. Put it this way, you could buy 4 or 5 cheap ebay ones for the price of a genuine VW one. And I bet the cheapo one will last as long as a genuine part. ---------- Post added at 4:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 4:19 PM ---------- VW Spares sell them, made by Meyle who often make stuff for VW: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=583 http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=584
  2. WTF!?! They live up to their name then, $tealers.... That's insane, the sensor is essentially just a magnet and some plastic
  3. Yep, went in fine after a bit of filing
  4. Oh dear.. Yes, mine was a tight fit too, so after I removed the old one, I got a file & gave the hole bit of a clean. And put some copper crease in there, for good measure. Bought myself some sensors off ebay, a pair for £8, instead of the rip off dealer price (something like £30+ for each one IIRC) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-PAIR-VW-GOLF-MK3-III-MK4-IV-BORA-1-6-1-8-2-0-1-9TDi-FRONT-ABS-SENSOR-A4041-/111083141537?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19dd1239a1
  5. Anybody know where I can get new bolts for a Schrick manifold? There's 3 M8 bolts at the top, but I'm not sure what size the other 7 are, which attach to the 6 branch?
  6. Probably because it comes with leather as standard, which would have made it more desirable for thieves
  7. You don't need to remove the discs or calipers for the rest sensor
  8. The sensors tend to seize in place over time.. Couldn't get mine out without knocking it with a hammer, which broke it in two, then using a few other tools to chisel/drill/remove it. It's a 'fun' job ;-)
  9. Hi Rob, might me interested, do you need sealing paste? Bartek mention something about that on their website I'll let you know regarding the gaskets, cheers
  10. Hi Rich, Tried to call but couldn't get through. I left an answerphone message, so will try and call again either tonight or tomorrow. Cheers
  11. Actually, my mistake - just looked at a pic from the installation manual on the web, it is black after all :) Sure, I can collect from W12. Will give you a call later to confirm
  12. Ok, £700 :) To confirm - all the required bits are there and in working order? Is the vacuum unit an aftermarket one, thought the Schrick one was green? Cheers!
  13. Would you take £650 cash? Can collect this weekend
  14. ECP will probably claim it wasn't fitted properly... Think it would be difficult to prove they're at fault I never buy anything mechanical from ECP/GSF, it's a false economy. I'd rather get the proper quality part from VW from the outset
  15. Will this work on a later coilpack vr6?

  17. Nick - they had it in the corner at the back, didn't look particularly dusty to me hulk hogan - Don't think the center caps are available from the $tealers anymore.. The VW part number is 1H0 601 171 B BXF, 56mm BBS part number 09.24.306 They come up on ebay from time to time, or you could buy them from abroad for some crazy price.. http://www.sparesdeals.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=262 http://www.worldimpex.com/parts/genuine-part-bbs-hub-cap-vr6_50531.html Used to be about £8 each, a few years back
  18. MK4 anniversary has a 6 speed gear knob, although it says 'GTI' on it, so might look a bit odd on an R32
  19. Cheers n3p :-) Noticed your car at Stealth on Sunday, looks great, love the wheels. Couple more pics from Santa Pod
  20. What's the part number? Ford probably sell it for half the price
  21. I think my VR6 are one touch down, but not up. My old G60 had one touch down and up on both windows. Pretty sure it was mentioned on here some time ago that some later cars have different relays, which is why they're not one touch up. I presume it's just a matter of changing the relays.
  22. ..any prizes for most kerbed-up alloys? I think the 18" RC's on my Golf might be in with a chance
  23. Looks like rain to me.. :( http://uk.weather.com/weather/10day-CV47:4:UK
