I'm free Monday/Tuesday, near the M11 / A406 PM me if you wanna arrange something :)
-
Where abouts in Essex are you, it's pretty huge :) I'm in Woodford Green
-
It'll look weird without anything there, but it's your call :) Here's a video, which shows what it's like underneath
-
I bought a set from this seller a couple of weeks back, seals look great and yep they are cheap!
-
Might be for the med kit, if you don't have the humped rear seat
-
Wow, nice job! :thumbleft: Did you rub down and re-dye the leather, or is it a different interior? Looks lovely :) Your whole car looks great, so much effort, nice one!
-
Yes, you're correct! My bad  My bodyshop guy kept calling it Shultz and it's stuck with me..
-
I wondered that too, must be an over zealous tester... My totally standard MK4 GTI had these pointless advisories: 'under trays fitted obscuring some underside components' 'engine covers fitted obscuring some components in the engine bay' Was thinking of kicking up a fuss tbh
-
I would never drive the death traps they come up with on Chop Shop!
-
My local bodyshop place said the 3M Schultz was the same stuff as factory, but maybe he's wrong? Got my underside Schultz'd and it's as thick & rubbery as the factory stone chip stuff, and painted EDIT - Hmm.. that ebay Schultz says it's not overpaintable...
-
The factory stone chip is that rippled rubbery Schultz stuff: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3M-Car-Body-Schutz-Black-Underseal-08861-x-3-/180665439317 It's quite thick, several millimetres, so don't think stones in the road will go through it, they'll just bounce off. And it can be painted over.

To be fair, the plastic one is so cheap and lasts a long time, so it would be overkill to get an alloy one :)
-
looks like it could be the older diagnostic port, although I'm sure only the early VR6's had it.. http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/2x2.html
-
You'll probably want some coolant too!
-
Looks like the plastic flange could be the problem. The part number on it seems to be: 051 121 145 D That seems to have been superceded with this part: 027 121 145 B You'll probably want a new seal too: N 902 954 01 A couple of bolts: N 010 217 10 And 2 spring washers: N 012 226 5 I've just checked VW Heritage, and they have all the bits you need http://www.vwheritage.com

Paid & txt sent, cheers!

Ok, £40 it is :) Do you take paypal?
-
Would you take £35 posted for the 2 badges?

I think the rear side window rubbers are bonded to the glass (..I could be wrong!)

You can either upload images as attachments to your posts (although you have to keep the images below a certain size). Alternatively, you could upload the images to your own webspace (such as photobucket, imageshack etc.) and then use tags in your post to embed the pics. See this page for help: http://the-corrado.net/misc.php?do=bbcode#imgcode

Here's my history: 1988 Fiat Uno 45 Fire, 1.0 - It was my first car, and was dreadful. The heaters never worked properly, and it used to cut out at traffic lights all too often... 1988 Golf GTI 8v Campaign Edition - Bought when I was 20, loved it. The build quality was leagues ahead of the Fiat, and I kept the car for about 11 years. 1995 Corrado VR6 Storm - I always wanted a Corrado, so bought it at 26 and still have it. 1991 Corrado G60 - Bought this with a blown charger for £400! Got it fixed and it put out great power for a standard car, 188BHP. Never really liked it that much though, it always felt lacking compared to the VR6.. 2002 Golf Mk4 1.8T Anniversary - My daily driver, love it. Totally standard, drives well and has all the comforts of a modern car. Some other bangers I bought on Ebay, for road trips across Europe: 1986 Golf GTI 8v - Driven from London to Madrid, and was given away to a couple of random girls 1989 Honda Prelude, 2.0 4WS - The best handling car I have ever driven, 4 wheel steering is just incredible. Was given a DIY black paint job, resembling KITT. Driven from London to Italy, and back. Ended up in a scrap yard after a mate took ownership and didn't look after it.. 1990 BMW 520 auto - Not fast at all, but a very comfortable cruiser. Drove like sitting on a cloud, and made me a fan of lazy autos (must be getting old..) Took this from London to upper Sweden and back to London, before another mate took ownership. It ended up getting scrapped, after he didn’t pay parking tickets.... :(

No, I've just got the basic version of VCDS, but it still helps to list any errors
