  1. Just found my reciept, I bought: 535 959 543 - aircon switches above cigarette lighter, £50.28 535 863 284B 01C - cigarette lighter trim with holes for aircon buttons, £3.70 I have no idea how you were quoted $146 for the cigarette lighter trim!!!
  2. The cigarette lighter aircon buttons aren't £140! I bought one from my local $tealers a few weeks ago for about £55. Still pricey, but not £140 :) The cigarette lighter trim with the holes for the aircon buttons was another £20... :(
  3. Battery prices have gone through the roof, something about the demand for lead, I was told
  4. I half own a Corrado G60 with my brother in law, we took it up to the Stealth rolling road day a few months back. Got something like 174BHP at the flywheel, it's totally standard too  Was very impressed with that.

  6. Aha! Found the thread: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=42264 Unfortunately, the original post it links to is dead (http://www.vxronline.co.uk/messageboard ... .php?t=714) :(
  7. I'm sure it was some sort of vauxhall, a Nova or Corsa I think
  8. Actually, I see the original poster said 0-100 in 8 seconds, I thought it was 0-60 :D I have to admit though that the Lightning looks better
  9. This one's quicker  http://www.teslamotors.com/ Apparently it does 0-60 in under 4 seconds All yours for 99,000 Euros excluding VAT.
  10. AutoExpress review: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carreviews ... rocco.html They seem to like it
  11. *Ahem* viewtopic.php?f=17&t=69188 250k names and rising..
  12. Thanks Rick, I'll give Keith a call I actually setup a dispute in Paypal over this, stating incomplete and damaged items, and the guy replied today. Hopefully he'll send the bits out.. no doubt he'll drag it out for another 6 weeks. He claims I didnt ask for the interior trim and wiring loom, all complete b0llocks, but hey ho..
  13. Hi, thanks for the reply, I'm in the Barnet/Finchley/Muswell Hill area
  14. Whatever happened to decency? I bought a 'corrado' air con setup off some ebay ba$tard in April. It took 6 weeks before he finally delivered it, after several weeks of him lying, saying it had been dispatched... Anyway, I recieve it today, and the bloody thing is missing the complete loom/fuses (apart from the interior switches), the bracket for the compressor is cracked and the evaporator box looks to me like it's from a mk3 golf. Oh, and the undertray for the glovebox wasnt sent either.... despite me sending him a list of things to include. Can someone please confirm that the parts I've been sent are actually from a corrado? I dont see any Diavia markings anywhere... How hard is it to make up the loom - I'm guessing it's a nightmare. I've got pdf's off this forum showing the wiring, but it looks a bit daunting. Anyone got one for sale (from a corrado with aircon!) A word of warning, stay clear of 'fox-501', aka Rodney Stanford of Coningsby, Lincolnshire. I don't have any hope of a refund, as he was breaking a corrado on ebay (..link here), and I sent him the money direct via paypal - my fault, I know. I should've gone up there myself to strip it out. It doesnt take 6 frigging weeks to remove the bloody kit. Thanks..
  15. Well yeah, I agree, but it's better than doing nothing at all :D ..in fact direct action is needed, like a few years back when petrol hit £1 a litre. Right now it seems like people are just accepting the cost and not doing anything. The French are up in arms about it, hauliers going on strike and what not (but then again the French strike about *anything*) If the whole UK just boycotted the petrol pumps for a few days, I'm sure the government would do something about the extortionate fuel duty. They can afford to, seeing as the rise in the price of oil means they take a greater amount as a percentage
  16. Hi, Just thought some of you might want to add your names to this :D http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Lowerduty30/ It's already got over 42k names on it, so for what it's worth I stuck mine on too. Let's hope something good comes of it
  17. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstop ... rce=rss&67
  18. 4 wheel steering is the weirdest thing ever - it feels like the backend is sliding on ice, but it a controlled way, it's bloomin amazing, all cars should have it! You can turn into corners really late, and the car makes it without a problem. I don't think honda do 4ws cars anymore due to cost.. Here's an interesing read  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Prelude "In 1987, Road & Track published a test summary that shows the 1988 Honda Prelude 2.0Si 4WS out slalomed every car of that year, including all Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Porsches. It went through the slalom at 65.5 mph (105.4 km/h), an amazing result for the time. For reference, the 1988 Corvette took the same course at 64.9 mph (104.4 km/h)." ..but then again, Corvettes don't do corners  My old Prelude took me to Italy and back over a week, thats over 2000 miles without a single problem. Didn't need any water and didn't lose a drop of oil! The car was 20 years old..!!
  19. Nice choice, 4WS rocks!! :D I bought an older ('88) model p00lude about a year and a half ago to travel to italy and back, and it was amazing - never had a car that handled so well, it goes around corners like nothing else  So much fun, especially on mini roundabouts  I never thought much of them before, but I've got lots of respect for them now. Must buy another one day, but I'll never sell the Corrado :)
  20. It's just the arms that are the problem. I bet you one miiiilllion dollars that if you bought brand new standard wiper arms and blades, they'd be fine. That said, I've got Lupo wipers on mine too :)
  21. Just came across this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7347339.stm Dunno how the hell the old boy managed to get his Fiesta upside down! People really shouldn't be driving at 93 anyway  Glad he got out unscratched though
  22. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7322582.stm I dont see how Welsh police hiding in a horse box is supposed to prevent speeding drivers. Oh wait - it's just another way to generate money! :hitler:
