  1. All I see is this :? Error 404 Arse. Looks like the page you're looking for isn't here! Sorry about that! Click here to go back where you came from! (But you're welcome to stay here as long as you like... )
  2. £320!!!?!?!?! WTF? I had similar problems, and got the keys recoded for about £52, and then after I still had problems, bought the transponder coil (£30ish). Now starts fine :)
  3. Midgets, eh? Funilly enough, I was talking about midgets today to some colleagues. In particular, why dont you ever see midget animals? This led on from a previous discussion on why animals havent (yet) evolved wheels.. :)
  4. Yep, just pull the trim down gently - should be held by about 5 clips IIRC. I've found it's best to start in the center. You may need to unclip part of the left or right pillar trim for you to make it easy to remove the plastic
  5. I think it's so they've got another excuse to slap a fine on us when we forget to renew the tax disc.. My tax was up for renewal at the end of Sept. and I never recieved a reminder :x
  6. Beware car parks  I had mine removed last Jan while my car was being resprayed. No dents yet, thank God. But I dont take the car to any car parks. That's what my MK2's for
  7. Ahh.. that might be it, does sound like water bubbling/boiling
  8. What's this do? It makes some worrying crackling noises when the key's in the ignition. Can't hear it when the engine is running, but that probably because the engine noise drowns it out. Are those crackling noises normal? :?
  9. I was dreading this day all week, but I made another attempt at changing the ignition switch and managed to do it  Didnt even have to remove the seat or bend any screwdrivers :) Car now starts at the first attempt, just like the good old days
  10. This one is going pretty cheap (VR owners) http://www.performancevwmag.com/classif ... ed+Kingdom
  11. This one looks pretty decent  http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29413
  12. I got mine done at Pristine - excellent job they did too 8) I did call up BJV when I was looking around, and the impression I got over the phone was that they couldnt be arsed to talk to me.. :| Maybe I phoned him during a busy spell, I dunno. But that's not really the way to win new business!
  13. Sorry, I just have to ask, are you really 85? Erm.. nope, 27 :D
  14. WHAT? TURN IT UP!
  15. Ah, excellent, never saw that 8) Now then... where can I get a watchmakers screwdriver :? You're damn right about needing a cushion down there!
  16. The story continues. I bought a new ingition switch from the dealers today. Only cost £18. Anyway, the guy at the parts desk told me it would be a real b4stard to fit. I thought to myself, it cant be that bad, surely... So I got home, removed both cowlings from the around the steering wheel, disconnected the cables which were in the way, even took out the trim in the lower footwell for more access. Now then, where the hell is the screw that holds the damn switch on? Managed to find it (with the aid of a small mirror..), but it really is inaccessible. :( I can barely see it, let alone remove it.. Any ideas on how to remove the bloody thing?
  17. Mines like this too - cant remember if the lights were level before I got the car painted! :? I'll try adjusting them from behind the trim panel as you guys have suggested :D
  18. Yeah thanks, was deffo gonna go for a VAG bit :) I dont like to skimp when it comes to stuff like that, only go to GSF for oil/wiperblades etc
  19. Ah ok, thanks Just to make sure I get the correct part, is it item no. 5 in this image?
  20. Since last week, my stereo stopped working if hooked up to the ignition wire. It's never given me a problem until now. It works occasionally, if the key is twiddled to a certain position and there's a full moon.. Anyhow, I've got around this by hooking the wire to the battery wire, so at least the stereo works. I do now have a problem with the car starting. It will fire up no problem, but as soon as I let go of the key so it settles in position, it sometimes cuts out. Is this a symptom of a dodgy barrel? Any ideas how much the $tealers charge for 'em? Cheers
  21. Are you sure? The corrado I saw before buying mine had aircon switches on the rotor control panel. Looked better that way too 8)
  22. I had the same thing happen to me about a month ago :x Was turning left into a road, but must have moved into the buslane slightly early.. They took a nice pic of me too  I got my letter about 4 weeks after the incident, so was hoping the '2 week' rule that applies to speeding tickets might be valid here, but I'm pretty sure it isnt. There's a website somewhere saying what grounds for appeal you have, and they're pretty much nowt. I just paid the fine in the end. B4stard Nazis :2gunfire:
  23. I dont take the Corrado somewhere where I'll have to park between 2 cars (Well, unless I'm at a VW show or something ) I've got a mk2 GTI for stuff like that :D If you want to protect your flanks and dont care how silly it looks, you could always try stuff like this: http://dingdefender.com/Photos.htm or http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... 4?v=glance But you'll need quite a few sets to line the whole side
