Whose campaign was at Inters? The leather looks a lot better in real life, not as garish as in the photos. The one at the show looked like it had a drivers rear wing changed, weld mark across the rear quarter stood out like a sore thumb :? Pretty pointless having a bonnet-bra on it, when the rest of the car looked like it needed work :roll:

I couldnt agree more. I've been going since '98 and this one was easily the worst :( Like you said, the stands were pretty poor in comparison to previous years. And the rain just added to the dissapointment. I left after just 2 hours there, usually im there til the end.

Ah, I suppose so. The fitters I spoke to (a few years back) would only stick it on autos. Maybe manual-start kits weren't around then, or perhaps they were just bulsh*tting me :lol:

Remote start is legal, but fitters are only supposed to put it on automatics. Putting it on a manual car would make the car jerk forward if it's left in gear :oops: possibly ramming the car parked in front However.. I have seen manual cars advertised with remote start

Problem is... sometimes you get some w***ers who get p***ed off that you've taken up 2 spaces, and they decide to key your car :cry: :x :mad:

Yeah you're not wrong, in my last car - remains nameless :oops: - I had some tw@t tailgaiting me for a couple of miles, so I remember my mate telling me to flick the rear fogs on in ocassions like this :D Certainly did the trick and he dropped back miles :mrgreen: Obviously I wouldnt recommend such methods to other drivers :wink: I've only ever done it the once

If they had any sense they would have made a factory Lupo 1.8T :wink: Not that the 1.6 GTI is bad, just some people want more than 125bhp :?
