I removed it today to check the wiring, and in the process, I broke a clip :x Are the housings exactly the same as a mk2 golf, or a passat etc? Certainly looks like the golf ones.

Yeah it is a bit odd, but then again I trust this guy, he's my bro-in-law's brother. I'll give him a ring anyway, see what he says :wink: And the stereo doesnt flick at all :)

Okay cheers once again guys, I'll give it a bash when it's daylight. And yes, it's just 1 indicator that isnt working. Everything worked fine before the stereo went in though... :?

Right, so I changed the bulb today, and it still dont work. On closer inspection, it looks like the original bulb isn't blown. I put a tester lead into the indicator prong sockets, and I'm not getting any current through :brickwall: The wing and rear indicator work fine though. I did notice this the day after the stereo was fitted, and that involved removing the shelf above the passenger footwell. I took it off just now to see if anything came loose, but it looks fine to me... Any more ideas as to what it could be? It's doing my head in a 2x speed :x And the cops probably wont be too keen on it :wink:

£0 ....so far :D Then again I've only had it about 5 days. The indicator bulb has gone, so that wil cost me a couple of quid :cry: :mrgreen:

I've got a 'Logic 900' cat 1 alarm; dealer fit jobby. Doesnt have a manual though, just the certificate. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to enable the arming tone (if it can be done). Also wondering what other features it's got. I swear I heard it go off for about 2 seconds tonight, but stop automatically. Didnt see anything odd when I went outside :? Probably a gypo trying to nick the storm badge :x It would be fantastic if someone's got a manual that they wouldnt mind scanning :wink: I'll pay the local stealership a visit on sat., see if they can provide me one.

Phew, I was getting the impression I'd have to fork out for a whole bloomin unit! I was thinking 'why would VW design an indicator like that!' :roll: :)

Blimey, fast response :lol: So, a dead bulb would cause it to flash 2x speed?

I am pretty sure the left indicator was ok when I bought the car last week, but I noticed that the left side blinks at about double speed. Any ideas? I had a stereo + bass tube fitted the other day so could that have interfered with something electrical? :? And to make matters worse, the front left indicator bulb seems to have died :x Probably not related, just bad luck :wink: Is the bulb replaceable? (Sorry I asked this last bit in another thread too :oops: )

Can the indicator bulb be replaced without having to buy a whole new unit?

Get the VR6 supercharged & an intercooler :evil: should even things out a little :lol: I think Nik Saran do them for about £3.5k; 320bhp 8)

A 'friend of a friend' told me he's got a lead ball in his fuel tank to compensate for the lack of it in the petrol. I dunno if it actually does anything though :wink:

Does the rear seat fold completely down? The one behind the passenger seat. I can fold the back down, but what about the base of the seat? I need to get under it to slacken some cabling. Is there a hidden lever or something? :lol: They don't seem to be like the mk2 seats, which folded completely down :?

So there's no way of leaving the glass in there without its rubber surrounds? :(

Okay, so they are bonded in. Is this a hassle if the car needs to get resprayed in the future? Can the rubber surrounding the glass be removed without actually having to take the glass out? I was looking at the rears, the rubber *seems* to come off easily, althought I didnt want to yank it all off just yet :wink:

I'm 26, 8yrs no claims on a VR6 Storm, North London, Elephant only want £650 fully comp! Bloody good in my opinion. I was paying £300 last year on a mk2 8v GTI, that was only TPFT, so I reckon the jump in performance is well worth it.
