On the back seat, mine's not got a hump. Had six in it once for about a mile when a mate got in the boot! -

 yeah she tripped, everyone in the hospital probably thought I did it though! (Mind you if any blood had been left in the car I may have needed to make a swift getaway from a future crime scene  ) -

Yeah it's much more fun when there's no passengers and hardly any fuel :) It's a massive difference to when you're 4 or 5 up with 70ltrs of fuel on board. Don't like to let it get too low though, you never know when you're going to need it for a longish journey, one night last week I was round the old dear's when she tripped and fell into the dining room chairs, she was p1ssin blood from her face so I had to take her to A&E (30 mile round trip) -

If I was going to try that I'd take a can of fuel, the guages in rado's aren't exactly the best for judging how much is left in the tank (assuming the VR have the same as valvers). -
Old school! Wouldn't advise putting that in a truck though cos it will shred the gearbox, I learnt that the hard way and ended up putting something like a 25T motor in. I've still got a Traxxas TCP in the loft with a 10x3 motor in, damn that thing was quick :)

Quality, the monster trucks were brilliant fun off road, I used to have the bush devil, my little brother had the blackfoot, and my older brother had the big wig. I remember sticking an 18 turn motor in it and pulling wheelies, happy days!

Choice of three things at the moment, I really like the idea of turbo'ing the 16v, but then I also love the sound of the VR and have been considering selling the 16v and buying one, and now I find out 20vt conversions aren't that expensive... Anyway something's definately going to happen, just haven't decided what yet, and I'm not in any real hurry at the moment (so don't watch this space  )

RADO.001, you should be ashamed of yourself, that car's filthy!!!
-
£400! Bargain, someone mentioned a 20VT engine with everything you need for a conversion going for a grand as well, so for roughly £1400 you can have a 20VT? Hmm, decisions decisions....

Been listening to the new Muse album this week (Black Holes and Revelations), great album. Also, I finally got round to listening to Dark Side Of The Moon properly, used to think it was crap, how wrong I was, it's an excellent album and deserves it's reputation as one of the best albums of all time.

Roundabouts are easy once you get the hang of them, plus they're cheaper than traffic lights and unlike lights you don't have to stop for ages when the road is clear. (btw how are Pakistan doing against England 'A'?)

Why can't manufacturers put there concepts into production..
steve_16v replied to Andy665's topic in General Car Chat
Very much a fan of that, looks fantastic from the front aswell, they should definately make it -
I prefer them without the VW badge but with the corrado badge. Like the look of the deleted wiper aswell but mine gets used too much in the winter to be removed.
-
I agree with RADO.001, don't really like integra's, S3 looks bland and too much like normal A3's, and I don't care what anyone says every TT I've ever seen looks like a hairdresser's car (that black one looks like it belongs to a butch stylist). The 147 GTA on the other hand looks fantastic and sticks out amongst boring modern cars, and according to Top Gear you can't class yourself as a car enthusiast until you've owned at least one Alfa.
-
If it's got standard discs and pads on then why not just get some decent uprated ones on it? The tar-ox discs and pads on mine made a massive difference to it's stopping ability, I almost headbutted the steering wheel the first time I tried an emergency stop!
-
That's what I said, they only did the 2.3 head (and they only manufactured the heads in the first few years before Merc took over)
-
If both cars are standard there won't be much in it, I've driven both the 2.3 and 2.5 (not a G60 though) and they are both excellent cars. 0-60 is 7.7s in the 2.5 Oh and it's no more a cosworth than any vauxhall with a red top engine. If anything it should be badged an AMG, all cosworth did was design the 16v head in the 2.3.

If you want big power BBM do a VR6 turbo kit for $2650. Link

Shame to scrap something so unique, wan't my cup of tea but surely he could have just given it away to someone? -
E39 M5, or increase the budget a little and go for an NSX

:new-bday: That corrado cake is brilliant!!! 8)

Corrado Storm... available in more than a VR6?!?!
steve_16v replied to vdubCorrado's topic in General Car Chat
According to the CCGB website there were definately only 20 auto storms, 10 in each colour. -
I hate feckin birds! Near enough every single b@stard day I have to wipe seagull crap off my car  .... for some reason the feckers seem to have something against the corrado  Learnt the hard way with a previous car not to leave the crap on for any length of time, t-cut helped cover it up but it soon wears off in a few weeks.

Have a look on the autotrader website for similar ones, there's loads between 1-2K and a few between 2-3K. Suppose it all depends on the condition but that does look cheap if the miles are genuine and it's in good nick.
