Huumm I suspect I have found the source of my water leak. Thanks very much!
-
Just a quick one but are the expansions tank caps (blue in my case) meant to have some sort of rubber sealing ring on them?
-
Looking good, can I ask what injectors and FPR you are using with the BBM chip?
-
That's what I thought
-
Anyone know who's this is? http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/974064.htm
-
How would that blow the injector driver?
-
I had one a few years ago from eurocarparts, it was a genuine re-con rack cost about £250 exchange.
-
Cheers for that, my lambda's ok then. On to the next potential problem!
-
Yep that's fine, drop me a PM. anymore for anymore?
-
£10 a lock if you send it to me the lock and key to be matched? Included in that is the the cost of returning the them to the sender, sound any good?

I'll do it for you mate, the glove box can be done with difficulty but I can do that too if you like. Didn't you PM me about this a while ago?

Iam now on my second Corrado and each time i have been to buy one I always wonder if I should have gone back to my mk2 Golf days. Well now Iam pretty certain that I want to do so and though I love the Corrados and have enjoyed owning them immencely, I just really want another mk2! I currently have a Corrado G60 and am considering selling up or dare I say, breaking it. It's a 1991 with around 150,000 on the clock in dark green metallic, it has full service history - nearly all of it VW. Charger has around 3000 left on it before I would reccomend a rebuild, but still produces good boost. Has lots of new mechanical parts, has about 2 months MOT left on it but I'm confident in saying that it will pass another test. The body work isn't that great, would benefit from a front bumper and possibly bonnet respray, it has a patch of rust on the R/H side trailing edge of the door and a dent or two. I know that's probably not much to go on but has anyone any idea how much it would be worth in a straight sale or if I broke it? Here's a pic although it's got the BBS splits on here, it would be sold with New G60 steels

It that the right way round as if you were viewing from the RH side of the car, closest is the purple wire signal, second one is earth and the furthest two are the heater?
-
I had a problem a while ago and basically the exhaust melted through some of the lambda wiring and blew the fuse. So I replaced the fuse and the lambda sensor but i'm not sure if I have the wires for the sensor the right way round, (it melted some of the wiring around the connector so I had to get creative) If anyone can check theirs that would be helpful, it's the 4 pin type connector with one connector for earth with a ring terminal on. Just need to know what wire goes where on the lambda side of the connector and on the ECU side too. Also how would I go about testing the rest of the lambda circuit as I want to make sure that there are no more breaks in the wiring. Thanks in advance.

CorradoVR6-Turbo Just going for around the 260 mark - like I say not big. Any ideas? Would the in-tank Walbro 044 have the same issue with low fuel levels?
-
What do you think I should do with my set-up (with the single intank G60)? I'm not going for big power but I want to be on the safe side. Sorry for a bit of a thread hijack lol
-
CorradoVR6-Turbo, how did you solve the problem then? I don't like the idea of having to keep it above a 1/4 tank.
-
Mine's a single intank G60 and I was planning on using that standard in-tank pump as the lift pump and use a inline 044 where the fuel filter is fitted, would that be ok?
-
Don't go for the Snap-on ebay one's as there not much good, the black Mac Tools ones are loads better.
-
Can remember what page it is on, but there's an incredible checker-plate airbox that has to be seen to be believed

Yeh apparently they help the mixture flow to the centre of the chamber (of course), it's the detonation marks that make me laugh, he's still aiming for 900 bhp lol, the paint work is pretty funny too.
