  1. An interesting one Steve, but I personally like the idea of a members only forum as not every CCGB member uses this forum and i know that from phone calls and conversations at shows (etc) with some club members. It may come as a suprise to a few regulars on here but it's been mentioned to me quite a lot that the corrado forum can seem a little intimidating to anyone who doesn't use it that often and can actually put people off posting for fear of a moderator jumping down their neck or another cf member coming out with some clever smug comment, and to me thats a real shame! everone should be allowed to use forums without fear of being embarrased for what they post. However if the majority of the committee want to make it public then i will accept that! Not every post is duplicated on the CCGB forum either although i agree a lot is, but I get the impression that most folk would like to use the CCGB forum because it is a members only place and they would have much more confidence to post comments and articles without having to worry about someones smutty repllies  Thats most certainly not to say that this forum isn't a nice place to be posting on, I have learned so much from on here you wouldn't believe it, there are some really good people on here too. I always look forward to using it and i always will do (i hope)
  2. Not at all, Here is what comes with every membership pack although this example is minus the welcome letter as i dont have one to take a picture of. And many other benefits besides, some of which have been mentioned before! :grin:DSC00607.JPG[/attachment:1d4ftnkw]2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDSC00611.JPG[/attachment:1d4ftnkw]

  8. Mate i thank you personally for re-joining and i'm sure you will not be dissapointed with the new magazine and membership pack which will be with you as soon as possible :salute:

  11. Hello Everyone, Well after months or is it years in the pipeline the clubs website is finaly operational :D so why not take a look and see what you think, you will all need to register/re-register to view the members only content as the site is completely new so the old registerd members could not be migrated over. There will be many technical features to view in the very near future as well as lots of other information all Corrado related! You will now have the option to join/renew your membership electronically through paypal too! So what better time to join the club and all for the cost of £10. http://www.corradoclub.org Very special thanks must go both to Cole (saysomestuff) & Dave (CrazyDave) & Karen (CrazyKaren) No guessing who that is then  for all their very hard work in what must have been a mammouth task! Thanks Guys we owe you all an awfull lot! :notworthy:
  12. Hi Chaps, Just wondered if anyone can confirm which model to use on a 4 Bolt 8v wheel? The ones i were told would fit dont screw in that far so i'm a little paranoid about them, they screw in about 6 complete turns but the other bolts screw in nearly 10 whole turns. The wheels are after market alloys by the way and the mode number on the packet is, M12 x 1.5. 28028 su. Does anyone still have their packaging to check i have the right ones please? Thanks! Kip :?
  13. Jude here really... At Tatton we were asked to provide our C's for a display of Sciroccos and Corrados at a dealers next Sunday for their launch of the new Scirocco and Passat. Car showroom will be emptied of all cars and have just the display 'original' Scirocco and Corrados the dealer has sourced plus the new models... and we get free coffee and pastries all day :) We will get a test drive but have been told it will be with a salesman as the car will be on trade plates. Will let you know what we think of it Andy.
  14. Thanks Fay, am sure it'll be nothing serious :ignore: but i've probably just tempted fate

Well if you could hide it under the standard engine cover so the judges dont see it i might have to take you up on that
  20. Inspiration indeed Ben, just wish I dared to venture into this kind of thing myself but it's way out of my league so will stick to being bicycle repair man  will enjoy seeing this project come along. Say hello to Guy when you see him
  21. I would disagree that it strips any wax off the car. I wash my car with autoglym stuff (and yeah it's not the best by any means), but if I have previously used SRP and EGP on the car, I'll just wash and shammy the car down this time and the water still beads off a treat so I don't see how it strips previous waxes off. It definitely doesn't strip EGP or SRP, not that either of those are a wax. Maybe I should stop now before I get a microfibre cloth shoved down my throat  Have to agree with Andy if you are using wax like Dodo juice/zymol or the stuff he uses it does indeed take a lot off but as you say the auto glym SRP & EGP are ok as indeed they are not wax but more silicon based :? Really would recomend the meg's water magnet too though! :D
  22. If its one of those huge things cut it in half first as they are flippin huge and put the other part away in a sealed bag till you wear out the other bit you are using. Also i soak a new one in a bucket of water with a bit of what you wash your car in overnight, works a treat! Lastly if you dont like it then go and get a meguirs water magnet now they are the tool of choice for me :norty: :notworthy:  :luvlove:
