Hi Mate, Yes both Jude and I had the C's at Macclesfield, Steve was a nice chap and very much appreciated us being there. A young chap called John Astbury sorted it out for us at tatton and he was there too and couldn't believe the milage on mine
-
Loved the DSG box and flappy padals
-
I agree totally mate, seems most dealers are just interested in i'll have one type sales rather than any coming from what i call nostalgia sales ie someone who remembers having a MK1 or MK2 Scirocco. They were really interested in our cars too which was nice rather than oh yeah we just got some old ones in to compare with. some of the younger staff couldn't believe how much a VR6 was when it was new (More than the new car they were selling 13 years later) :) I may ask my local dealer if they are interested in something similar but i know they will say no :(
-
Well Me & jude stung them for £140 worth of high octane anyway  the first tank for the German trip
-
Eric, Judith and i were approached by Gilbert Lawton/Smith Knight Fay VW Dealership at Tatton park earlier this month and were asked if we would like to bring our cars to their New Scirocco Launce weekend. Which we have just returned from. our cars were placed into the dealership with a very well known silver MK2 Scirocco and of course the new one and they looked mighty fine along side each other. An article will appear on the CCGB website soon with more details and pics  Had a good drive in it too WHHHEEEEEE! I like it
-
Indeed it did mate, i remember seeing it at edition with the corvette wheels on for the first time, looked chuffin awsome! And he gave me some of the rubbers that sit under the wing mirrors free from a box of bits he was selling  And i guess yes Jay is a Corrado legend :notworthy: as well as the mighty mr munyard too
-
No, Well they shouldn't be anyway they press down onto the door and hold in place because they have metal inside the rubber to grip the fram. As said be extreemly carefull on removal as they bend easy, i replaced both mine when i had some paint done as new ones look far better too but it adds more cost to the whole job :? Good luck mate.

Are you talking of the seal that goes over the top of the door frame or the one that runs along the base of the glass on the door? Sorry for sounding thick! but if it is this seal you are after i thought they were only aroung £50 each. from GPC and the like.

Hi Richard, Get yourself down to your local cycle shop and ask for some citrus degreaser it smells like all things fruity and will definately do the job as its used for cleaning chains and the like  Or some Auto Glym interior cleaner on a damp cloth should also work well :norty: Kip

 Not a chance! I like things to be clean but it'll never be that clean!
-
gah! hope it's only a sensor Kip as otheriwse it's the dreaded ABS Pump as it was with mine :gag: Oh Heck! hope so too then in that case, must get it checked with a VAG.com to see if it'l pick it up. How much was it to do the pump then? :|

Will keep an eye on it Dave but dare i say it it's been spot on since posting about it on here  she is doing brilliantly, though her nappy per hour consumption could do with being a tad lower. Sorry for the late response, but we are on holiday in france at the mo. Ah Nice one, hope it's nice and sunny there too then :D Tis fab mate, see 40 mpg quite regular  no sweat bout the wheels either.
-
Aye, that's why it's good to clean underneath your car. Bodywork is easy to keep an eye on the condition. Outside edges of the underneath aren't bad eaither. Getting right to the middle to check for damage, especially if you are lowered, needs that bit more dedication!!! (from Judith - Butterfly, who has lost ownership of the pc AGAIN this morning.... Oh well, better get out and get cleaning....)

Thanks! and Nice Move

Agreed it most certainly is debatable  Funny how both their names seem to crop up at the same time though :gag:

Walesy, Not being in the slightest hypocritical mate, and certainly not talking about what went on years ago but I do get asked questions from many new members to which i cant always answer and my response is why dont you take a look at the CF, and honestly a lot say oh i look but i daren't ask anything. This I will say is nearly always from new CCGB members who are not sure who or where to ask not long standing club members that know very well where to ask, and i whole heartedly agree that the cf is and probably always will be by far the best place to look for info all Corrado. Just try to imagine though looking at the CF for the first time, what would you think? i know i would say WOW! where the hell do i start! and thats the kind of thing i'm talking of not nessesarilly getting agro from a mod or another cf member if you know what i mean. :? This I will say is nearly always from new CCGB members who are not sure where to look for answers to questions not long standing club members that know very well where to ask, and i whole heartedly agree that the cf is and probably always will be by far the best place to look for info all Corrado. There is so very much information on here at first glance its staggering and that alone can make people shy. Take toad for example  he was pretty quiet to start with and now he's a forum Legend Lol! I merely suggested the club keep a members only forum as i was answering a question form not only a very well respected long standing CCGB member but also a CF Moderator. I have the most respect for anyone involved in moderating/creating a website as i know its a thankless task, I know i certainly appreciate what goes into doing a site or looking after it. I will say thanks for your possitive comments too and maybe we can twist your arm to join  Take it easy and enjoy your weekend! Regards, Kip

Now there's an idea Vaughan  Spent last night cleaning the seats and the headlining with Auto Glym interior cleaner which is amazing stuff, you should have seen the colour of the water in the bucket after only 5 mins work, had to change it a few times  Will smell much fresher now though  Will get some better pics up soon!
