1. You cant even begin to talk about amalgamation until you have permission from the people that can make that decision. 2. Submit all items for agenda to the club secretary as suggested numerous times in the sprinter and on the ccgb website. 3. you make it all sound so very easy Lol! I'm going now and i'll comment on a thread on the clubs forum should it get on on the matter as feel any newbies reading all this will run a mile. Sigh -
Bad man emu lol

Agree Jim, I think the 2 actually compliment each other well despite a few shenanigans over the years lol. This discussion had come up more often than I can remember too so maybe the planets are aligned again or something :-) The club needs to have a large cushion to sit on and thats the norm with many clubs, if we spend it thats it game over & who gains then. See you in April ;-) -

Some reet banter on here :-) Good ideas & bad ones too, and as VR6 rightly says I dont know why CCGB stuff always gets posted on here. Personally I'd rather it be discussed on the ccgb website as I'm sure Andi doesn't want us to use up server space or whatever it is. Could be an interesting AGM then so get down there and lets discuss :-) Paul kippax CCGB Chairman for those that don't know. -

Wendy has a very valid point in the business sense of the topic, if left to drop too far it could be quite a bad move ans the club then unable to rise above a certain depletion of finances due to having no funds left. Indeed bad business sense. Club GTI dropped their Rabbit magazine to go online only and membership plumeted. I feel the paper copy of the sprinter mag is absolutely vital for the clubs future as without it the club loses a bit part of it's identity. I appreciate £5 is a fair increase but i also think with the rising costs of fuel and general groceries and other things like postage costs it's still a bargain. A happy meal is nearly a fiver now  -
As has out Very own Tempest

Drop me pm Graeme what you need. Some requests already so will let you know asap. Kip.

Nice little article on the three peaks Jim. just shows that a feature can be about anything and not just purely car. Get the notebooks out you lot

I missed it this March due to my crash with the dog and breaking a few bones so i fully intend to even more Awsome on the bike come next March as there are 40 going this year so want to dish a little pain out if you know what i mean ;) Still looking out for one but not desperate. Let me know if you need owt via pm.

Trouble is Andy this isn't a good example but if it's fixable cheap and quick I'll do it but not spending time I dont have taking it to bits :-(

Another 8v mate. God I have a problem lol they are just so perfect for daily use and with the winter tyres it was awsome in snow too.

It didn't overheat as there was still a fair bit of coolant in the header tank, i'll have a good poke around Sunday in daylight as working all day today, be nice if it was just a pipe but the way it was running and how it smelt is making me think otherwise. I'll keep you posted ;) Still feel it's getting to the end for it though lol!

She is mate, but she bites lol!

Not a good day yesterday as the 8v engine decided to blow up oooops! It Drove to work fine but coming home after sat in the cold for a few hours all went a bit wrong and smelt awfully fuely and running on 3 cylinders and it used up a lot of coolant which has been changed for G12 last year, economy was only 12 mpg and normally in the late 20's 30's by time i get home, looked under the bonnet and water was actually spraying a fine mist all over the gearbox end. I'm thinking the head gasket after a few messages from David Wort on facebook or maybe even a cracked head. anyway i'm thinking of not going to the trouble of fixing it as the car has some very serious corrosion issues hence the price i paid in 2009 for it £900. So with that in mind and the fact it needs new discs & pads and a few other little jobs i may actually break it :( or some of it anyway. I looked at Davids thread after he recently did the same job on his 8v but it involved doing the valve stem seals and a few other bits which all adds up to a few quid that i dont think is worth putting into this particular Corrado, trust me i've thought about it and if i wanted to sell it if it was a runner i'd only get £700 or so with the issues it has so not much point i think. Sigh, Bad timing though but that's Corrados  I'll have a think what to do but if anyone is after any interior bits drop me a pm. I'll need to sort a breaking thread i guess but it will only be limited as i dont want to strip everything off it and annoy my neighbours ;)

Yep seized and probably all perished seals inside anyway, a bugger to do but worth it once done.
-
Sorry wasn't meaning to be sarcastic or anything, in all fairness, it's a bit of a pain ordering direct so am sure hassle free sales from a uk distributor would be worth a few extra quid :-) Don't suppose you have any info on the Yellow 1/43 from mini champs ifs sure out too do you? A bit of a collector so quite excited lol.

There are bolts to hold it in place top & bottom so sounds like they've fell off. :( The pic shows the view from the top as if you were looking down onto the beam and you can make out the top bolt too.
