  1. Yeah they like to try and predict who'll be the next Merckx but that'll never happen again, standards have come so much further now and other riders all having a much higher ability than in those days. Do one Wendy lol! X
  2. Google eh lol! Yeah but not in our time as such if you know what I mean :-) And Eddy wasn't even human either lol! He could nail a few beers too. Once met him too! Stood next to him while having a slash in the gents at a charity dinner and after both washing our hands we shook hands and spoke a while and he was a true gent being very enthusiastic to the questions I asked.
  3. It's a tough task to be honest but cav knows how to do it without a team, he just needs to get onto a good wheel. This year is completely about overall and cav said before the tour that if he gets one stage that'll be a bonus, he's done that already so no pressure to try and bag more as in previous tours but if he gets to paris sagan better be watching :-P
  4. The whole of team sky's plans for 2012 are based around Bradley winning the tour, his own training since Aug last year has been about it and he and the team have had many altitude training camps over the winter including sleeping at high altitude resorts. Personally I think he could do it as he also has superd form after winnie both paris nice & the dauphine. Today was a legendary day indeed and a perfect result for british cycling and team sky, just imagine if they won the yellow & polka dot jerseys and then cav won the green again! I dont think it's ever been done by the same team. Keep it up boys were proud of you. :) Ps yes I am a road man too lol!

Could be better but will probably be more at a dealers these days, i think i bought 4 x5 litre bottles for £50 delivered last time i bought some which was a year or so ago now. Do you have a local tps? it may not be much different price wise but worth a check.

Ben, yes because of the silver coloured bottle it's often refered to as synta silver :)
  7. Brilliant pics capturing work in progress :)
  8. Great little vid mate, would love to make next year if possible :)
  9. I've asked them to get as close to standard finish as poss as i've shown them a patch of original finish on the subframe and it came back as near as damnit so quite happy with that. :) just hope this next batch is as good too.
  10. Hi Chris, the bent bits are the bumper irons that sit inside the front and rear bumpers, they bolt to the triangular brackets in the foreground. The top right thing is the radiator support panel which sits on top of the engine support section. Hope that makes sense. :)
  11. Yep as stuey says, best to leave the outer sleeve of the old bush in then simply chop it out with 2 saw cuts once all coated :) Jay, yeah i know but it just helps to improve the finish a little bit further as i found out by doing the same with the subframe and wishbones etc, just takes some of the pitting out too.
  12. Really Jim? i think a few have mentioned they have gone with them that have a few mods.
  13. No worries Tom, i was just about to say to folk please give Peter D James a call and you have just mentioned them  My VR was re-insured with them earlier this month for £267 with a 3k limit and £12k agreed value :) My Nugget too this week for a peanuts £158 with unlimited mileage and 6k agreed value. I like Peter D James I do :)
  14. Well the last few days have been a little more relaxed so to speak having given up trying to get it done for this weekend :) That has meant i've had some quality time with the drill and Mr Flappy, about 10 hours in fact  on wed's my day off i had 6 or so hours with various drill attachments getting all the metal work ready to take for blasting and coating, hope the results make it worthwhile as i was knackerd from it on wed's evening. talk about vibration white finger my hands were bloody numb  Hope to drop this lot off next week sometime.
  15. Perfectly put i might add, I worked for the same guy in a cycle shop for 9 years and it was truly superb in all aspects, i was totally respected and appreciated but the guy then retired and the guy who left before i started bought the business, it was good for a few years but after 7 years or so he really did become a complete tosser to the point i wanted to hit him and that just isn't me, i put up with it for a while and got so depressed it changed how i felt at home too. Judith was very supportive and helped me a lot. Then one day an old customer called me & asked if i was happy at work, obviously i wasn't so he told me another shop was interested in having me and that was that. been there 3 years now and it feels like it used to before idiot came along. Success only comes to those who risk everything to make a change, you are young and have a long way to go so go for the maternity job and if it does fall through you could easily fall back to another supermarket and probably jump straight into a job. Good Luck mate ;)
  16. Yeah with Jude Neil :-) judging class 12 too.
  17. Ha Ha, no way was i gonna reuse it for the sake of £60 for a new one mate, it was no damage limitation day on that baby today  took about 2 hours messing with the bloody thing so just drilled it to look like a lump of sewiss cheese then off it fell
  18. I didn't really mark it to be honest as there are imprints still on the floor sections where the brackets go so i'll get it back as close as I can when i re-fit it all. Hope it lines up ok, dont want it crabbing sideways
  19. Well today was rear beam off day lol! that came off reasonably well but by jingo them compensators are a complete pain to remove :/ what a challenge. Also the rear bolt holding the damper to the beam on one side was completely fused in so a bit of hacksaw action saw that removed :) Will get on it all with Mr Flappy this week before going to the coaters. Big thanks to my best mate Rich for coming over for a play too! Payment is a set of koni top adjustables in good condition and one carefull owner
