WOW what an exciting qualifying session. Kubica did amazingly well, shame for him he didnt get the pole position. I just hope the race tomorrow is as exciting :D

 Of all the cars in the world they could have used, they chose a Corrado. :gag:

Lilfuzzers "Verity" new headlights page 34
Critical_Mass replied to lilfuzzer's topic in Members Gallery
Looking good Chris, like the wheel. Whats that you have in place of the ashtray? Looks like two buttons. -
I'd have to say it does tidy up the rear end nicely and does look better. But I find a use for the rear wiper when reversing with still water on the window... as already said. Hence why im keeping it.

You could try unplugging the maf if it makes a difference you know its working. However i did hear something about later VRs the maf wouldnt make a difference either way. Definately fuelling related if it goes away once warmed up

Mine like many others has never had the valve, just a pipe going to the intake pipe. Oil does go back into the throttle body with no detrimental affect.
-
HT leads etc - i would expect to cause it to misfire rather then stall. Sounds like a sensor and coincidence with the bumpy road to me. Unless the bumpy road has loosened something a sensor.

Cool. But what are the little issues with the new engine?

Want to buy a Rado.. A little advice please...
Critical_Mass replied to thesingh's topic in General Car Chat
Welcome aboard mate! You wont get one much older then H reg :D To be honest it could be difficult, not IMPOSSIBLE, but difficult to get one for a grand or under which only need bits and bobs fixing on it. If it doesnt just need the odd small thing fixing you could spend as much fixing it up as you did on the car. My advice would be try and save a little bit more, at the very least it will allow you to still spend 1k on a Corrado but give you more cash to fix what ever one you get. Though again i would still urge you to try save a bit more to get the best example you can. :D -
Headlight switch and loom fires.....DIY prevention
Critical_Mass replied to CrazyDave's topic in Interior
Thats odd... i think we've had this discussion before about the switch is only supposed to illuminate when on side lights, as the logic is that if you have the headlights on you should be able to tell cos its dark enough so no need to highlight the switch as being on headlights. Could be a possible fault. I suppose if in doubt get it sorted. Also it would definately worth doing the fuse mod above. I guess others will advise too. -

Critical_Mass replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
hehe Cheers Sprint. I think so too!!! :D So which one was it mate, Coilovers or Exhaust? Let me know how you get on with both, particularly the coilovers. -
Do they come with tyres too or do you need to get some?

Gaz's Bordeaux Pearl VR NEW WHEELS!
Critical_Mass replied to Critical_Mass's topic in Members Gallery
Thanks Leonard! I got the aero wiper from ebay actually was about £5 delivered! :-D Well without trying to repeat what i said in other posts  they are noticeably harder, but very compliant. I use the car as a daily and i've not once though the ride was too hard considering our roads and those damn speed bumps. You wouldnt be disappointed with them. What you got fitted at the mo? -
The Tyre Discussion Thread - please read 1st post

I was looking to get the KU31s but couldnt find anywhere that had them in stock. In the end went for the toyo TR-1s as ive had them before. They're good, but found they wore out quickish. The ones i got are on the rear though so should last longer. -
James out of interest were you at last years Vanfest at Malvern, just that i remember seeing a rado same colour and same white wheels and i notice youre from Worcester? Coincidence? Looks good though mate! :D
-
Good choice imo mate. I think they look sweet. Cant wait for them to be fitted on the car, are they the same offset as the BBS's out of interest? Saying that, the Rota's would look good too, but i think you made a good choice :D

Gaz's Bordeaux Pearl VR NEW WHEELS!
Critical_Mass replied to Critical_Mass's topic in Members Gallery
.....ahhhh we must put together that special order 16 inch speedline group buy.......if anyone could be arsed to organise it I'm sure there would be a lot of us willing to jump on the band wagon  .......cant remember who has them on here but they look spot on IMO. I think i'm one of the few who dont feel too much affection for the speedies - its not a bad wheel, but i do think the Corrado looks underwheeled with 15" rims. 16 is really very nice and Gaz's motor looks superb on those ATS rims. Wish i hadnt got rid now... 16" speedies would however look good, if they were more concave rather than convex, imho.[/quote:lq0uxp9o] Cheers Hasan. Thats what i think also, the Corrado should have come with 16s as standard imo. The 16" speedlines, are they flatter faced then the standard 15" speedlines? Lilfuzzer - Bordeaux looks stunning when its washed and polised. But it can look dirty pretty quickly :( though thats an excuse to give it another wash  :D Added a few more pics. A couple to give you the idea of the tail pipe. To be honest it doesnt look as big in the pics. Also one of the rear aero wiper ive just fitted and finally one of the engine bay, but we've all seen a standard VR engine bay before  Want to polish the manifold to tidy it up a bit. Plus tidy the engine plastics tidying up.
