  1. Not sure mate, But i can find out for you if you like.
  2. I'll x2 that Rob, that is such an damn nice car!! 8) It does look burgundy though  Shame the pic has cropped on the forum for me :( got a hi res image you can send me?
  3. Yeah i had a set on the front and i really liked them, though the wear rate was higher then i had hoped. Though they were on the driven wheels to be fair and i do like to put my foot down from time to time :D They should last longer on the rear.
  4. Not sure mate. Each gauge is seperate from the rest of the cluster, so you could get another temp/fuel gauge and try it. But that depends weather its the circuit board itself is at fault or not.
  5. How low is the car exactly? I was told that as long as there's room to get the straps over the wheels to fit the equipment to the wheels, it will be fine.
  6. Surely thats the gauge at fault then. The yellow temp sender gives the reading to th clocks, so if you unplugged it and the needle still went up, then it can only be the clocks that are at fault.
  7. Do you know any friendly garages. I do the service myself but get a garage i go to stamp it. IMO its best to put it in yourself even with no stamp then there be no record at all of a service. If you keep receipts for any oil or filters etc you bought, that should help create some history. The car is getting on now and owned by alot of enthusiasts so i expect alot of us to do our own services. As long as there are receipts to the oil and filter, plugs or whatever i wouldnt see a problem.
  8. worst kind of note left, bar the death threat.
  9. indeed contest it. Like whats already been said, it sounds like he' trying to do you for something to justify pulling you. Ask for video evidence which he should have. If you've ever been behind another corrado, imo its hard to tell if the driver (or passenger for that matter) is wearing their belt.. not saying you were not btw. The problem these days is the whole 'Innocent til proven guilty' has been flipped on its head and its not 'guilty until you prove your innocent' :?
  10. Cheers for the reply Alan. However the rear tyres are pratically new toyo tr-1s which have covered no more then 2000 miles.
  11. Yeah i've always thought it was designed to move a little. But not as much as it feels it is, it sometimes feels like the back end is going to go. :?
  12. Hi guys/gals, Need some advice. Was driving home earlier today and i got to a road that had those speed reducing chicanes on it. When i went through it i was carrying enough speed that when i turned right quickly to get through the chicane, the rear end felt like it either drifted or rolled too much. It felt almost as if either the rear passenger shock was soggy and not taking the weight of the car or the rear was allowed to slide. When i got to a straight clear bit of road i weaved the car left and right and turning left it feels fine, but turning right the passenger rear side again feels like i described above. I took a look at the rear shocker, which is a year old KW V1, and i cant see any signs of leaking or knackered springs - all looks ok. Now could this be the rear axle bushes, even if its just affecting one side of the axle? For a while now when coming to a gentle stop using the brakes, at first it only happened when my speed dropped to 5-10 mph. I would get a loud high pitched clunk from the rear (confirmed by someone standing outside the car while i drive back and forth to get it to clunk), but now it does it more regularly when gently braking but the speed is higher then 5-10mph. I was told by my mechanic that it sounds like the rear axle moving in relation to the car when braking. Could these be linked to eachother? Can anyone shed any light on this? Cheers EDIT - just taken car for a quick drive and i think its same on the drivers side as it is on the passenger.
  13. RAC is what you want. Me and my girlfriend went to london for an interview she had. By the time she'd finished the interview it was about dark and i went to pick her up and bring her back to the hotel. On the way back i managed to hit the kerb which i couldnt see and flattened both drivers tyres. But luckily was close enough to hotel to limp it into car park. RAC came out and fitted the spare and instead up letting us sort out the other wheel in the morning, took us both with the other bust wheel to the other side of london at 10pm to get someone he knew to fit a new tyre for us. He didnt have to but went out of his way and duty to go get a new tyre fitted for us.. Bravo that man! Always been happy with the RAC and that just enforce my confidence in them to be honest.
  14. 8) As Bernard Matthews would say "butiful!" love it!!!
  15. Really like the first black pair. Shame i dont have the £££... :(
  16. ah the right choice in the end.... must have been fate :D Enjoy thte drive fella!
  17. Fetch me a torch and it shall be done. Oh, and a train ticket too. And I'll need picking up from the station, but apart from that, I'm good to go.[/quote:1fm3a1ks] haha! Yeah i suppose it would actually need looking at. I cant see anything wrong when i looked on the inside of the bumper. Im trying to avoid taking the bumper off as the last and only time i did that on a previous corrado i couldnt get it to go back on correctly, funnily enough it looked to have dropped either side.
  18. I feel for you mate, ive found a few bumps and scratches recently. It annoys the hell out of me. :mad2: Dont know if you'll find this a little extreme and/or obsessive. But why dont you get a camera installed that records to your computer. And put a sign up saying the cars are being watched. That way they may think twice about being so careless and you'll be able to find out who it is if they do knock your car and its a security measure for thieves.
  19. Can anyone shine some light on the bumper issue?
  20. Yeah that seems pretty good stuff and not too expensive either. Though, as said in the GB thread, trying to get the wrap to fit between the small gaps between each tube wouldnt really be possible... shame really.
  21. 2x I got some inca blue mixed a number of years ago and it wasnt even close to a match.
  22. Great stuff. The car been off the road until it turned up then. To be honest i havent rang the garage about it, but i doubt its turned up
  23. Yeah its not cheap. Though i bought two 2" x 50ft wrap packs and only used the one. Billcor you may want to get some silicone spray too to water proof it. I wouldnt fork out for the metal ties as i thought they were a rip off. Instead i bought a roll of copper wire and wrapped it in that.
  24. Another reason i wrapped my manifold was due to the horrible sucking noise i was getting, which never disappeared. I used the wrap to mask the noise.
  25. Ive done this and i agree with the "it getting wet" issue. BUT you can get silicone spray which you coat over the fabric to keep water from getting in and under the wrapping. Just do it thoroughly. Oh and as for prices, I bought Thermotec wrap and spray. I forget how much the spray was exactly i think it was around £15. The wrap itself - 2" wide x 50ft was nearing £60 and one roll was enough to do a 6 branch manifold, which allowed for off cuts.
