  1. They charged you to adjust the rear despite them being unadjustable - terrible. Def take it back mate, unless something is wrong which causes the car to pull to the left - this should have been spotted whilst doing the alignment by the way, then they've done something wrong.
  2. Any update on this. Ive got a similar scenario, im thinking top mounts as when the steering is on full lock there is a squeak of rubber.
  3. take a look on www.the12volt.com - useful link for wiring colours etc.
  4. It's Blue Pearl, mainly, 3 slat front with a 16v badge on it, and on 17"s, I've seen the red VR going around Otley, you just twinged my memory there! It sounds pretty nice,[/quote:3af2u6rz] Cool i'll keep an eye out! :D
  5. Agree with what Mr Craigowl said. Unless unburnt fuel or oil even has got into the CAT, it should be ok.
  6. What colour is your rado mate, may have seen you about? Seen a Tornado red VR and a dragon/classic green that dont appear to be from here, unless of course one is you. But then you're a new member anyway  If you see a bordeaux VR that will be me, give us a  :D
  7. I cant get the one out of the CAT, its sooo tight lol and I cant get a grip :censored: Probably easier to just take the cat off.
  8. You're best off reading through this thread.. i know theres alot of pages but you'll find that answers you need. A Cat back exhaust doesnt include the CAT, just anything after the cat. On the standard system there is a silencer after the cat, then the 'suitcase' silencer just before the axle then you have the back box. I and alot of other got a sytem without the silencer immediately after the CAT and just replaced kept the suitcase one. I went for a supersprint which are godo quality and quiet on normal running.. almost OEM sound, not sure what its like on throttle as ive not heard my car pass me to hear in that situation, but from in the car its not loud at all. Though does burble nicely on idle. They also do an oval tailpipe but it could do with being a little smaller - a round tailpipe is available too. But only the backbox is stainless steel the rest is steel - but its still lighter then the original system Also there's miltek which gets a good rating on here they also do an oval tail pipe and its stainless, its also a little throater. Sure someone with one of them will be on soon.. or just read back through this thread.
  9. yeah its a 2x2 connector. Look on the 1st ebay link above.
  10. woooh! £142 for both rears, why so much more then the fronts? Where they on an exchange basis for your old ones?
  11. 89 model WOW! Yeah def deserves something special. What model and colour you got? I see you're from leeds mate, may have seen you around Leeds. I see a few corrados round leeds but they never seem to be off here :( Im from Crossgates area.
  12. here's the link mate for the removal tool http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... 06&start=0
  13. Sorry forgot to point out Zerocool is a member off here  Again search for plug removal tool as there's a thread. The spark plug sockets have a rubber piece inside them that grips the plug so the plug shouldnt fall out of the socket. There are 2 different sizes of socket, i forget the sizes. But you need a thinner one so it fits down the holes the spark plugs sit in. As aide says, dont do them up to tight. But i always do them up until you feel the plug feels tight, then do it another 1/4 turn - hope that makes sense, hard to explain on here.
  14. Firstly, if you havent already get one of the metal HT lead removal tools off here - Zerocool sells them for about a tenner and will make removing the HT leads not only easy but also without damaging the leads. Then just like any other car use a spark plug removal socket with a bar extension to undo the plugs. Get yourself a set of NGK plugs - if you use the search for something like +VR +Spark +plugs you will find the correct part number for the plugs. Once you've removed all the plugs just replace with new.
  15. Wow, I never knew that! :D  He was shy to ask you Kev.
  16. Hasan, like you i listen to electronic music (psy trance) and have always used the 6x9s. I can see what Tom is saying about the sound being in the back. But the mere angle of the rear window allows the sound to be bounced towards the front of the car - without it being in your face. I say keep the 6x9s and get some decent tweeters in the front for the mid and treble.
  17. Hope you get a fair swap.
  18. Indeed. Ever since i joined the forum Jim's been saying he was wanting a VR. The time has finally come Jim! Enjoy it! :D
  19. Cool. How much did that set you back?
  20. Maybe the second set of clocks are knackered? Get the new sender changed and take it from there.
  21. Im finding that the factory speakers are squeaking inside their casing the parcel shelf sits on. The speakers just need removing.
  22. and the rest! When I last looked a couple of years ago, the whole exhaust was about a £1000! WOW! that craziness! :cuckoo:
