    Like furk'z said, I think it's all in the prep, but if you get enough paint on there, you can just sand it back a little (1200 or finer!) and polish it for great results! ( think that's what they do in American Hotrod!!!) I tried that method on the back of my Mk2, it's not perfect, but it's ok!

    I've been running FK coilovers for over a year now, they were the cheap ones (around £350). They're brilliant for the money, and cos their coilovers, you can have them as high as you like! Got them from Gwent VW, but there must be a stockist in Cali.

    It could be the bushes on your alternator, if it's not charging the battery, it'll just use up the juice in the battery and go dead. Easy way to test is to turn on the engine and put a volt meter across the battery, if it's not registering 14(ish) volts with the engine running, the alternator isn't working. Ususlly an easy fix, a set of bushes usually costs around £15 and isn't too difficult to fit, if you're willing to get your hands dirty! Edit: Doh! Phil, you beat me to it!!!

    bristolbaron, cheers mate, yeah deffo up for a convoy! I'll drop JT-G60 a line and see what he thinks, cheers. Walesy, cheers, I think I was down on boost sunday too! Unfortunately, I neglected to treat the coilovers and as a result, they're now stuck at the current ride hight! :roll: But I do have a backup plan, my golf is lowered 40mm, so i could just swap the suspension! :D

    My car is lowered on 17's with only slight rubbing, tried 16's once, just didn't seem to look right. Maybe i just didn't have the right wheel on there.

    Right, i've just heard that slammed cars won't make it on Stealths rollers, and I'm a bit concerned as I've just paid up for it! :roll: So here's a few pics of it, do you think I'll get it on OK? (I've been on TSR's without problems)

    Try FK ones, I gotta set from GwentVW about 18 months ago. Only paid about £350, they're wound right down and they still ride great! (and i'm not kind to my suspension!!!)
