  1. Good point, the only reason I take mine from there is because I was told that was one of the better places from a VW specilist. Had the boost gauge running from there for about a year now and never had any problems.
  2. I think (correct me if i'm wrong) that there should be two pipes coming off the back of the throttle body, one should be uninturrupted, 1m all the way to the ECU (controls the fueling). If I were you, I'd try and disconnect all the t pieces from your ECU line, and put them off of the feed off of the left hand side of the inlet manifold at the front (just out of your pic). That's just my idea though, hope it helps. :)
  3. Well that's good news at least. Sounds like you gotta good insurance company!
  4. Is the paint broken? If not, i've used a paintless dent removal guy before, he's cheap and does good work!
  5. Fair play to you for not breaking it, it looks sweet! :thumbleft: Like The Hub said, bet your feeling mighty smug now! Love those mirrors too, gotta get me a set! 8)
  6. Ahh, i see! Yeah, i gotta lay my hands on a set of VR needles, don't suppose anyone knows for any??
  7. Right, decided to get a big valve head and for good measure a flowed inlet manifold. So i got the head off only to find that the exhaust manifold had broken! One quick call to Jabba later and i had a shiny new one to go with my shiny new head and inlet manifold! After a bit of fighting in 'interesting' weather conditions, me and Tim (punto) managed to get it all back together and she fired up first time! 8) God, I love Volkswagens! :luvlove:
  8. Think I saw a 16v with a turbo like this on, only made 160bhp tho, valver turbos can make soo much more.
  9. What's wrong with your wingmirrors? They look sweet! 8)
  10. DDI every time! 8) I switched to DDI from those blue LED's, they just didn't really suit.
  11. Changed every switch illumination to red.
  12. White L plate VR6 in the Westover Trading Estate in Langport.
  13. As if by magic!!! :fadein: If you don't know by now, I ain't tellin! :-P (Still think mines the best...worst...most expensive though!!!)
  14. Nice looking ride mate! Looks like the guy in that first pic is trying to polish it out!!!
  15. Heh heh! Yeah, bit dodgy doing a search for 'Big Boys Toys'!!!
  16. Mk2 screens are quite easy to fit, all you need is some washing up liquid, a piece of string and a mate! :)
  17. Think that's the one I used too.
  18. Suppose so, i just thought it might screw up the MFA. I know you should never T off of the pipe going from the inlet to the ECU, that HAS to stay 100cm otherwise it messes up the fueling!
  19. Well you could look here, but they advertise in the golf+ and PVW all the time. They told me that they didn't have any G60 lumps in stock so they would rebuild mine, but i went out and bought a big valve head instead! 8) Edit: They have workshops all over the country. Think the closest engine place to us is in Gloucester.
  20. You can fit one to your G60, just T off of one of the vaccum pipes, i used the one on the end of the inlet manifold.
  21. I wouldn't go for a TSR one, if i were you, I've heard 2ltr don't rev as well as 1.9s. I've been thinking about rebuilds recently and I was told that if I gave them my engine to rebuild, Big Boys Toys would rebuild mine for only around £800! A friend of mine had an 8v GTI engine rebuilt by them and he recons the engine was spot on!
  22. 160 on a bike??????????? :cuckoo: Fair play to you though, you've got bigger kahunas than me!!! Must have been pretty draughty though!!
