Hi Tom I understand the G-lader enjoys the fumes - to provide lub. :)
-
Well - my st1 V9 with VGI & 263's is superb now I've sorted blower suction & delivery pipework and MAF oiling problems. :D However - I don't think it'll ever be as smooth or torquey low down as my daily 24v Bora. For me - go R36! [Lizard's is the one to watch!] :norty:

It's basically a really small file. I think they're mainly used by watchmakers and the like. I used them to make the three pronged triangular bit on the end, which you obviously can't do on a lathe. If I had a 4th axis on my milling machine I would have used that... Thanks Timbo - they're a type my old man used to call "rats' tail files" :)

Nice product - but what's a swiss file? [Can't surely have ice cream & jam inside It?]

Hi Kev Are these suitable for my modest machine? Yea! I like the TD's too - did you see the deal that MicVR & Coullstar agreed?
-
They did my 1st exhaust and they sized the pipe wrong (too small) it always had a slight knock (went back numerous times always goot looked at never fixed), boxes/baffles didnt last long, had a lifetime warranty and was so unhappy with them i went elsewhere (Blueflame) top job not 1 single problem, made to a higher standard and for cheaper, bargain. Hi Simon I need some bits & ss welding done - whereabouts are "Blueflame"?

Nice - you black wheelwhore - no racism intended! Greasy hands / white leather [drool] :nono:

But you've already got a Shrek Phil..... Hey Jim But it was an absolute bargain! and polished rocker thrown in. It was on a golf which interestingly had the MAF on the blower delivery - wonder what the pros & cons of that are? You got yours firing right now? Mine has had similar probs - thought I'd resolved it with extended blower suction [understand recomended to have 22" from MAF centre to eye of blower suction] - but no! Then I read of oil contamination of blower - and as I'd cleaned the filter while it was off - I thought yes! Took MAF & Filter off & sure enough MAF was dripping! Carefully blasted with meths in an old febreeze bottle then wiped its little bits dry with cotton bud, warm air dried the filter for a couple of hours and hey presto - smooth as silk. That was 2 days ago, now back to her old tricks again. I guess it's back down the pit tomorrow - must get some QR clips on the filter & MAF! If I'd secured the VSR [it was for Schrick money!] then I'd have passed on the Schrick. VSR has big advantage of full access to plugs and leads, Schrick leaves only 2 No accessible. Better leave it - hi-jacked this thread long enough. Cheers

Try "VWAudibreakers" on 01159 791121 - they're an ebay regular. Narrowly missed a bargain VSR recently! :(

Hi Mate, Yes both Jude and I had the C's at Macclesfield, Steve was a nice chap and very much appreciated us being there. A young chap called John Astbury sorted it out for us at tatton and he was there too and couldn't believe the milage on mine  Don't wish to be cynical guys! [and my cup is normally at least half full] but they're all nice guys when they're selling! :D After what I've heard recently of how dealer staff [it was a BM dealer though!] treat their stock - I wouldn't buy a used car from a main dealer ever again!
-
