    Rear fog lights

IMHO I dont agree that it is less safe to display two rear fog lights and if this was the case I would expect The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 to only allow one rear fog to be used. I also don't agree that a bike and a car take up the same roadspace. If I had to take emergency action in heavy fog I would be inclined to steer to the nearside (offside could result in a head on collision), if i was following a bike I would probably be able to steer sufficiently to aviod a collision by heading away from it's rear light. However if I was behind a car with one foglight I may well not be able to adequately judge how far to the nearside to go to avoid collision. I accept that a picky MoT man may well decide that my additional foglight was not standard fit to my c, however according the The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations my additional fog light is permissable. I could always remove the bulb before the test, I wont tell him if you wont.

    Rear fog lights

Correct me if I'm mistaken but aren't there are a lot of cars that have two rear fog lights. Also one rear fog light could look like a braking motorbike as opposed to a car with one foglight. Just a thought. The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 states that one or two rear fog lights are permissable.

    Rear fog lights

I was checking my lights today and noticed only the offside rear foglight was lit, on checking I found there was no bulb in the nearside holder and the hole in the lens unit was blanked off. Removed the blanking cover (snaps out) and fitted a bulb and now have two rear fogs, although I don't think the n/s lens has the reflector but it still looks ok. Although this has been discussed before I thought would mention it again for those of you that would like two rear fog lights.
  5. The c looks amazing and that engine bay is immaculate. Hope to get mine up to that standard eventually.
  6. wasn't to far out with my suggestion 8) maybe with whats left from the flowers could go to the forum?after all if it wasn't here none of us would be seeing the vid, never mind even knowing about it! 8. You lucky chap, two c's in the garage, i'm so jealous. Hope you enjoy them both mate, well done.
  9. I think there are some good plates available for the VR6 (VRG), G60 (G60 obviously) and vw (sure i don't need to explain), but in the end i went for something more personal (they are called personal plates after all). My initials are PSM and I just assigned E1 PSM to my c. The E1 is also relevant as I was born in the E1 postcode area. I think it's all down to what will make you smile to yourself when you look at your plate. For me it's nice to know it will be relevant to any car I put the mark on.

    Bleedin Kerbs!

Ok guys thanks for all the suggestions for refurbs. next question is where is the best place to get a set of winter wheels (then i can put the solitudes in for refurb), what 5 stud wheels would you recommend for a good price?

    Bleedin Kerbs!

As I was pulling over to park today, I was looking into the shop i was just about to go into instead of concentrating on my parking and manged to scrape the nsf wheel on a fairly high kerb. The damage isn't drastic but the rim is a bit scratched and two of the spokes (solitudes) have grazes (1-2 mm deep) on them. The wheels are in need of a refurb anyway (would not have been happy if they had already been done) but I was wondering what level of damage can be repaired during a refurb. Can fairly large scrapes, missing chunks etc. be repaired in some way and how is it done? Also can anyone recommend a good refurbisher in the London/Home counties area?
  12. What about if you have a classic green one?
  13. That's a very nice looking VR you have there. Welcome
  14. If you are losing coolant and have a white residue in the filler cap it could be a leaking head gasket and water contaminating the oil. Check the water in the expansion tank to see if there is anything untoward in there?
  15. Well I was thinking about screws for the plates of course
  16. Ok so next question, Screws or sticky pads? Hmmm, decisions decisions!
  17. Furki tell me about it, anyway I've ordered them now.
  18. The storm looks very sweet Dan. If you can make the next South East monthly meet it would be nice to have a proper look at her.
  19. Lukeage - Standard with a border are a good option, just debating whether to have the GB Euro bit aswell.
  20. Now now guys stop arguing, i'm gonna have plain with a border so there!!!
  21. Yeah I was thinking about having the normal size 3D text but then changed my mind to standard. God my indecisiveness is driving me crazy. I got my certificate of entitlement today for my new number and it says it can take up to four weeks to assign it to the car so I guess I have a little while to make my mind up. Think I'm gonna pop down the pub and mill it over, over a pint!
  22. Thanks for the suggestions and info guys. Are the tinted ones road legal and where can they be bought?
  23. Haven't seen the tinted Furki, what's that look like and where can i see a sample?
