  1. Non Corrado type person [/quote:60ebb] Err.... you've been misinformed Stanley old chap. Rado AND Alfa :)
  2. Well said that man :) Life would be as dull as ditchwater if we all thought the same.
  3. I mean, I don't like madonna. No denying she's 'good' and incredibly sucessful though. But I still don't like her. I see absolutely no difference between madonna and skodas in this sense.
  4. WTF? Why are my opinions narrow minded? Cos they are different to yours perhaps? :) I will certainly not keep my opinions to myself - what a dull world that would be. Are you going to keep your opinions to yourself then? I very much doubt it. Your comments really make me laugh mate - me thinks you need to get down off your high horse perhaps? I am so not narrow minded - you have no idea. I embrace with great enthusiasm anything I like. Thing is that doesn't include skodas. Never really been a huge fan of alternatives to other products that have been built down to a budget. Maybe thats just me. It's not narrow minded at all mate - I JUST DON'T LIKE SKODAS!!! :) Why is that so hard for someone to accept. If monsieur butt-head had read my earlier posts properly he would have noticed that I said they're very good cars, capable, value for money, etc. I just don't like them, so funnily enough to me they are not decent at all. Nowt wrong with that is there? Who cares if I don't like them? :)
  5. Blimey - good plan mate. Now I've got another car, my plan (at the moment) is to make the rado as light as possible. I really want to know how much weight can be ditched.
  6. Blimey, it's ok - we're allowed different opinions! :) I just personally think skodas are hideous - very good cars i'm sure, and very good value for money, but I hate them. IMO there isn't a single good looking car in the range. Sorry to the skoda owners.
  7. Ok maybe poo is a bad choice of word. We'll have to agree to disagree about Skodas though mate. Sorry.
  8. Doesn't mean they're nice though does it mate? I mean, the police used to run around in Senators - great, very capable car. Not nice though. I'd also describe them as poo.
  9. hope it comes with a tow truck Nope. Comes with a 250 bhp 3.2 v6 though :)
  10. You could buy the system from my car mate :)
  11. Very nice mate. Lovin the colour. My new motor is ready for collection but the money hasn't come through yet :(
  12. Hmmm, not sure about the charger but look at this mate! This one has been bored out to 3.8 litres!!!! Aparently it can be taken out to 4.0!! 8)
  13. You seem to be turning into a bit of a spanner monkey mate. You can teach me everything you know :)
  14. Hi Was just wondering...... Assuming you don't need any forward/backward adjustment, can any seat just be bolted straight to the floor of a rado without subframes etc? I should say a stripped out rado primarily for track use. Sorry if it's a stupid question :)
  15. Make sure you work out how to do it properly mate - then you can pop over and remove mine! :) (when you bring the temp unit back) ;)
  16. Noooooooooo! I've got to be happy with 250 bhp for at least a year or so! :) Will put some pics up after the agonising wait is over :(
  17. I'm nervous mate! Looks like a cracking car though :)
  18. Nah your not mad Will, just a petrol head like the rest of us! Looks wicked tbh, a lot of nice details in those Alfa's they way they conceal the rear door handles etc & that interior is lovely. 8) Must admit you've got me thinking about a 147 GTA as a replacemnt for my daily driver (the VR's a fun car for the weekends these days), been sniffing around a few Alfa forums trying to get some more info on them. Do you know what size brembo's yours comes with as keep reading quite a few of the 147 & 156 GTA have had their fronts upgraded from 305mm to the 330 discs and callipers, in some cases for free by the dealer as in some cases (far from all tbh) the original 305mm discs were warping. Alex I started off wanting the 147 mate, but when you compare them the 156 comes out on top in my books. Better looks, slightly nicer interior, better weight distribution and 200 quid less to insure!! Wierd. The one i'm getting has the 305 brakes. They changed them some point in 2003. I've tried both, and didn't notice a great deal of difference in normal driving. I also think the one i tried with 330's had warped discs, which is why they changed from the 305's in the first place! Aparently about 600 quid for the bits to upgrade.
  19. Well looks like i've found the right car... Silver 2003 156 GTA with 37k on the clock. Black leather with grey inserts. Electric everything. Bose, etc. Really minty other than a few stone chips. Going to buy it tomorrow but may have to wait 2 weeks! :( God I hope I'm not mad buying an Alfa!!
  20. My brother has a 3.2 GT. Lovely car, but to be honest I prefer the 156 GTA. It's a more agressive shape. And it's got 10 more horsepower! :)
