It totally depends on you mate and how you look at things. I have a black vr which has had a colourful life to say the least. 4 million owners. New rear end at some point. Signs of boy-racer past owners (ripspeed tax disc holder!), etc, etc..... I also have a blue one that is in much better nick, only 1 million owners, 80k mileage etc, but I just don't like it. The black one just feels right to me. I've had to spend money to sort it out yeah, but I just couldn't get rid of it. I got it running for the first time in a month yesterday, and despite all the rattles and squeaks etc, it just instantly puts a massive grin on my face. So just find one you really like thats in current good condition, and buy it! (sorry, waffle over) :)

Hi My passenger side window sometimes drops, either a small amount or about half way, after I have left the car. It can't be the alarm. Does that sound like a switch problem? Any ideas? I have searched and only found one related thread. Cheers :)

Yep :) And if you use it on max for a while you may at some point come back to find your windows misted up. Don't worry, your heater matrix hasn't blown! It just does it ocassionally.

Top moints seem to be fairly common cause of wierd noises up front. And the noise on mine didn't seem to come from the top mount area at all! Hope it's all sorted out for you :)

I have a super special family value 400 quid with zero no claims policy, so I'm guessing the service may be fairly limited :)

Yeah you'll feel the power being sucked away for sure mate. It's simple though - if you're going fast enough to worry about the power, there will be enough air coming through the windows to cool you so forget the air-con :)

And it's gonna be cool but slow with it mate :)
