Just been to drive the Z4MC, chassis felt lovely and tight, steering was excellent, gearbox was really notchy, engine felt really flat though, not zingy like my 330's 3.0, very disappointed tbh, felt slower than the Corrado for sure, could have been the vanos wasn't working. Nice cabin.

Thanks for the replies chaps, I'm running Bilstein coilovers which are firm but not harsh (using 325lb springs in the front 275lb rear as per Kev's recommendations) it's got plenty of travel, simply because the roads are truly terrible on my commute across the new forest. So based on your replies I'm going to try TT front ones and standard new rear ones and see how I get on, if it's too harsh I'll go standard all round, and prey they last longer than the power flex ones. I think it might be the extra torque, never ate through them on the standard VR engine. I've got a black leather interior to fit soon, bought from a chap on the forum, it's in good nick, but still need to get my recaros retrimmed to match. I've also got to say the projectors in the headlights have been a godsend this winter, one of my favourite mods. Other than the annoying wishbone bush appetite, the cars proved a great daily. But for all its virtues, I'm a little bored with it now if I'm honest, I'd like to get something RWD, so I'm looking at this tomorrow, just 5 mins down the road.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/351520616506

No one have any idea?

Quick update.. Cars always dirty these days, living out in the countryside on filthy farm roads means washing it is a pointless exercise... More worryingly though it's eating through front wishbone bushes at an alarming rate, it's wrecking a power flex front bush in 3 months, turning it to jelly, has anyone else seen this before? Thinking of trying out TT or R32 bushes, can I do front and rear wishbone bushes? It's the fronts I'm only having problems with really but I'd like to see a change on both.

I think you can still get them from the dealers, but I might be a bit out of touch.

How did you get on with this head unit? I'm looking at purchasing a dab alpine and was wondering how good the dab reception is? What aerial did you use with it?

Trimsport VW Corrado VWMS Rear Roundel Badge - Brand New!
KipVR replied to G60MAT's topic in Suppliers Forum
I think you'd sell a lot of standard looking script badges... -
Ha ha! Coming or going and all that!

Yes thanks for the offer easypops but I need an oem one really
-
actually yes I will take them.....honestly !
-
That's very good of you to offer. Hopefully I'm getting a second hand pair of fogs to replace my cracked one and then I'll have a spare glass to measure up. I really need to see the back of the glass to get the fluting and sealing rib to be an exact match.
-
Actually no I'll pass thanks
-
I'll take them :)

I got a reply from Hella, they are not allowed to reproduce them, not even the glass part as it's all licensed to VW so they won't do it. Early ones not a problem, which is why you can still buy them, late ones are VW specific. "I see, that particular part we made for VW... We made this under licence to them, therefore they never released it to us in the after market.. It still is a VW part, they own all the rights still to the lamp... So on this occasion we have no control of this part It would be VW (I know they have deleted the part) But we can not get hold of this one at all Not good news I'm afraid.. Sorry Best Regards/Mit freundlichen Grussen Customer Service Department Hella Limited Unit 6, Appletree Ind Estate Chipping Warden, Banbury, Oxon OX17 1LL England, UK Polycarbonate ones it is then..

Got a reply from Hella Uk, they have asked Hella Germany if they still have the tooling for them! We'd have to buy them from a Hella distributor. I'll keep you all posted.....
-
Yeah but you still have to buy the BMW lenses anyway Jim, which are £40 each and still don't fit quite right.

Yesterday, I have a crack in my 3 month old fog light lens, I wasn't pleased considering the price I paid for it! I had a look on eBay etc, and quite honestly, I don't want to pay £100 for a second hand one just for it to break again. I don't even use my fogs any more in fear of the heat helping them crack again.. I've emailed Hella, asking them if they'd produce the glass again (one off batch of 300 pairs), but if they don't get back to me (I'm not holding my breath!) I'm going to re-manufacture them out of polycarbonate, at least they won't crack... They'd have to be machined so they'd probably cost best part of £100 for a pair, but they'd look identical and last longer, and chips would polish out. Would anyone else be interested in a pair if Hella don't want to supply, or even if they do.

Karmannski are you taking orders yet?

The inpros have projectors designed for a halogen bulb.

Have a look at this thread:- http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?88878-HID-s&highlight=projector

Or fit a projector unit with a HID kit, this makes the single biggest difference to your lights. The pattern is massively improved from the oem setup, your visibility along with it.

I think it was DG autotech that recondition the position sensors. Also, on the pump manifold the little filters get all clogged up and stop the unit working properly giving false valve fault codes.

Ha ha probably not! But it's the dogs emissions that I can't stand!....I need to attach the cat to its arse to clean them up.
