  1. Yep, two way electric recaro. They sit at the right height for the Corrado and I have matching rear seat Does this make them rare? ;) I was going to have them covered in black leather
  2. Here you go http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/audi/89171/audi-to-join-f1-in-2016 would make sense as they dominated rally raid so moved into rally and are dominating LMP and doing well in touring so a move to F1 makes sense Maybe a diesel F1 ;)
  3. Theres gonna be all sorts of rumours going round at the moment, especially with 2 teams so far and possibly another 3 on the way out Would be good to see though
  4. We did this at work a couple of years back http://www.netcomposites.com/news/jaguar-c-xf-first-vehicle-to-use-wire-in-composite/4148 I'd love to try it on mine but the cost is huge :) its coming to you aeromotive guys though ;) check out wire in composites from bf1systems http://www.bf1systems.com
  5. :) :) Unleaded solder isnt good at all, although it can take higher temperatures it's more brittle than leaded, but its not the type of solder thats the problem, its because when you solder a multicore cable you are changing it to a single core, then at the point where the solder stopped flowing up the the strands, the cable becomes weak and if flexed or vibrated can fracture, that doesnt happen when it is crimped, but like you say, you do need to make sure you are crimping on the correct setting otherwise that to will cause damage to the strands Surprisingly, leaded solder is still allowed motorsport and in certain applications in automotive as long as its used on a safety critical device, its just easier for the OEMs to use unleaded for environment/recycling paperwork reasons.
  6. These were in an 89 rado I bought, not sure what the patterns called And they're electric
  7. Totally agree with this, I work for a company that make harnesses for motorsports and we always crimp the wires (similar to those that Kev has linked to) Glad you put this Kev, as last time I said that I got shouted down :(
  8. Has he hacked the wires going to the seat plugs or the wires in the seats aswell? If its just the wires going to the seats then its quite easy, the diagram above includes the seat wiring aswell Picture below is mine. Its 2 wires, a fused 12v supply that comes straight of the 12v connector at the end of the fusebox and a ground connection. When they get to the first seat, they both split so it can continue to the second seat
  9. Like those, are they 17's ? They look bigger, more like 18's

    HID's

Do projector lights have the same rules as HIDs? My wifes Beetle has projectors from factory with standard bulbs and there is no leveling or washers so if you put a HID bulb in a projector do the same rules apply?

    HID's

Liking the idea of putting projectors in the standard lights, good work kip
  12. Reading this made me smile which was made better when the wife went 'oh my god' when looking over my shoulder Top job on the scuttle, may have to steal that idea ;)

    HID's

I had a set of 6k HIDs, and it did make driving visibility alot better but they had that blue tint to them Wasnt keen on the colour so sold them. I was told that if you get a set of 4.3k HIDs they are vertually the same tint as standard, just brighter
  14. You need a SWG scuttle cover ;)
  15. Poly bush the front cross member with the solid front mount will stop most movement but you can get more vibration and noise I've got a solid front mount but I'm gonna leave the rubber cross member mounts,
  16. The mounts from the 16v will fit perfectly, that what I'm using. A solid front mount will help to reduce the engine movement, what are you doing with the other doughnut mounts on the front cross member? Does the mk2 mount lower the engine a little? be careful as alot of people catch the sump on 1.8t engines When you say 'original clocks and barrel' do you mean from the mk4? why do you want to keep the clocks and keys from that when an immo removal is so cheap now? and mk4 clocks look odd in a rado dash in my opinion. Get the immo removed and fit late 16v clocks, it will all work together
  17. sorry to hear that, not good, Any other damage?
  18. It might not be bolted in place on both sides or the mech may be broken If you lift it up, either using the switch on the dash or by turning the rotary on the motor you'll be able to see it better
  19. They all came with the raising rear spoiler,
