I think people have mentioned changing for the VR 5th as well to get a better result at the top end.

Did mine recently and asked for 4k... they came back with 3.5k but considering what I paid it was a good result...

Ah yes the dreaded budget.... well when it comes to the Corrado it always *seems* to stretch all by itself ;) I'm bidding on some KW's right now, but if that fails then Highsports are the only way to go I guess.

Agreed... I fitted progressively wound springs that are meant to go with standard shocks. Rough ride..... and they seem to be putting more strain on the shocks. Going for some coilovers now to give me a better ride and some movement in height. Anybody got views on the Supersport gold... or the FK AK kit :?:

I was just thinking about this sort of conversion..... cruising on the autobahn's really needs a higher gearing and it's this or a longer 5th I guess.

Have you read the warning about G60's and fuel leaks ? Just had mine replaced at g-werks and well worth the money for peace of mind at least.

Anybody else done this and got it to be accurate... no point in the speedo saying 260kph and only really going to 240 after all :?: I was after something like THIS really.....

Mine does this as well..... have you tried flicking the front plastic to see if it springs into life. This usually solves it for me and puts it on my "things to fix as and when" list instead of the "OMG fix it now" list.... Mine started doing that after I fiddled about removing my spoiler control unit. So maybe it's a loose wire or a bad conenction somewhere behind the dash causing this.

I know I was running at 135 @ the wheels before my SNS chip/68mm pulley/RSR outlet.... Anybody know the rough gain from these at the wheels :?:

Have you thought about getting the kit to add a supercharger to your existing setup :?: IIRC there is one available.. probably from g-werks.

Wish I had my BHP figures for the fly wheel.... pity I had to go to an old rolling road. Anyway had a chip & pulley since then anyway so it'll be off I guess. They have figures listed for Corrado's BTW... HERE

Yeah the plan was to do it in Germany...... but I've been keeping a look on ebay.at/de for a few weeks and nothing that comes up is *exactly* right. Some are out on the speedo, others on the fuel and revs. Just seeing how flexible I can be really. Idealy I want a perfect match, but this is a Rado, and perfect sometimes doesn't happen.... Plus having a speedo that goes to more than the standard might be helpful on those Autobahn's ;)

Ok so as part of my move to Germany I'm looking to get a new tacho to go in my 1990 G60.. The one I have right now is the dual digital version (MFA & Mileage), speedo goes to 140mph (but is 10% fast), revs go to 7000... So the question is, can I install a speedo that reads to 8000rpm and 240/260kmph or is it going to be out of sync with my car :?: I'm not sure exactly how the speedo works and if the speedo unit does the calculations...

Yep green are the standard injectors.. unless the previous owner has got some non-vw specific ones that also happen to be green ;) I think the injectors are made by Bosch so you can mix and match across a few differenent cars.

From what I know the replacement injectors will just feed more petrol directly into the engine for cars that are heavily modified. If you've gone above the chip & pulley mod then maybe these will give you a little extra boost, but from what I've been told they're not really required until the engine has been modified enough to warrant them. Not sure exactly where you draw the line though I'm afraid.

Mixed reactions for me really... sometimes it's like they don't want to sell you things. A while back though I had a good chat with them about a 50mm spoiler and they suggested that with the VAT and delivery I'd get it cheaper at my local $tealers.... not many places do themselves out of business like that just to be nice about things.

Ok, trying to source an urgent ISV replacement as this could be the culprit.... Any views on removing the ISV alltogether till I can get one and fit it :?: any benefit in solving my problem. I tried disconencting the ISV's wiring and the car didn't want to start anyway, so this makes me think that removing it might not help at all. Opinions :?: :?: :?:
