  1. here are soem better pics of the one hose I'm talking about: It seem to be going over to this area: Also this car is equiped with cruise control - if that has anything to do with it. :)
  2. Anyone know how these "connectors" is connected - and should it be removed from the steering wheel (black connector) or the airbag itselfe - yellow connector. Is it just to drag them straight out or do they have some sort of "clip" mechanism?.
  3. They are still available - I picked up a new one from Ford today ;)
  4. Tried to disconnect the yellow temp sensor - but that didn't do anything, the gauge still raised up :( Any other tips on what could be checked before I go out and buy a new one?
  5. finnished fitting the Hartmann Exhaust. Finnished installing all new brake hoses, and bleed brakes. replaced gearbox oil, and refilled cooling system with antifreeze. Car pretty much good to go in to get approved for Norwegian roads (it's an import, so have to be checked out by some gov thingy...:) ). First run on road "self" powered after rebuild ;)
  6. Just about finnished my rebuild today, but noticed that the steering seem to be really heavy - all fluids have been replaced, and it's at maximum level with oil etc. Seem like all air is out. It still seem to be quite heavy - any idea on what would cause it?. Can it be related to that all parts are new and wheel alignment haven't been done yet? - I would imagine it can have some effect - but wouldn't think as much as this...
  7. ahh, da*** missed that :) thnx again guys!
  8. Anyone have a picture of it fitted?.....
  9. nope - I haven't touched the relays :) - but can't remember if it was like this when I bought it (I don't think it was).....
  10. What might cause the temperature gauge to rise directly when the ignition is on. Earlier fixed a troublesome gastank level gauge on the same gauge - also the sensor is new. The MFA seem to read correct temp though EDITED this post: As I'v found the cluster to be working OK - checked in another car, so if anyone know where this s**** get's it's signal from that would be of great help - or is there is some sort of resistance on the way from the temp-sender to the gauge?. It actually seem to be rising a bit more once the car get hot - so it's starting out with a too high signal and then adds to it when it get's hotter......
  11. Yup. That's the way late cars work. If the Aux pump isn't working it could be the fuse or a faulty fan control unit. Check the fuse and check the voltage at the plug. There are some diodes in the fan control unit that seem to switch the pump on. They can become unsoldered from the PCB. If you take the unit off and it rattles, it's probably them. So if I understand correct the late VR6's are supposed to have this pump running imidiately when the ignition is turned on ?
  12. hmm, no one??? Any tips apreciated. even though I just went ahead and bought the suckers :) - maybe I end up with 4 spare wheels.......lol
  13. yea it must have been - the pedal was all dead, as long as there is fluid in the system and no air, I guess it shouldn't be much of a problem bleeding it though...;) With air - completely different game :) (but the method I described above worked good, and was able to fix it in roughly 15 minutes or so)...;)
  14. Don't think you'd normally have to do it - I guess why mine went to he*** was that the slave cylinder was disconnected from engine, as engine was out. Also think the clutch pedal was pressed down engaging it, and I guess that might have caused air to get into the system. If it works I wouldn't start messing with it ;)
  15. yea I know - only one I had available on the computer - the C isn't where I live - will have to get a new one next time I'm at the place I work on the car :)
  16. Naa, you thinking about the one that runs from front of air-manifold, and goes in under/over the coilpack right?. The one I'm thinking of just sticks out from the wires back at the firewall.....:( I presume the one going from the manifold is supposed to hook up with a green plastic "pipe" coming from somewhere else?...:)
  17. Looking good m8, and know exactly what your talking about "looking back at it"........even though I haven't had the pleasure yet to actually drive mine much after I got it from Sweden - but that is luckily about to change as my rebuild is almost done - good to see mine actually starting to look like a C again :)
  18. Not the one connected to the front of the manifold - this one seem to come from the left side (left side of picture)....it seem to go along the wiring that sits back there)..
  19. In the area I'v marked here there is an vacuum hose that's not connected to anything. Any idea what it is for?.
  20. Put back the hood after it's been apart from the car for well over 1 year.......nice to finally see something that starts to look as a Corrado again. Also gave it a quick scrub - need to do some more washing/polishing though.......:)
  21. I'm getting my speedlines powder coated soon. The trouble me and the guy doing the powder coating them found though was to find a color that will match close to the original speedline color (with the small "sparkles"). This problem especially occures when one add the clear coat (which will add to the durability of the coating) as silver metallics tend to change color when clear is added. The coater just ordered some new paint from a comapny in the US - we sendt them a small bit with the same color as the speedlines and they where able to color match it. Hopefully will work out good - will be a few weeks until I know though. If your ok with standard silver or going with any other color you will be fine ;)
  22. what might cause the dash gauge to rise up - if the sensor is ok?. I know I earlier fixed the gauge for the fuel - but can't remember if the temp gauge was also faulty at the time.....
  23. Anyone have any idea what might cause the temp gauge to go up straight away when I turn ignition - and is it related to the problem with the AUX pump running.?
  24. Not sure if the shelf have anything to do with the A/C system, or if it can be fitted. Mine got A/C - but also have airbags so might be the reason for no shelf:
  25. Not able to take pic just now, but the thing I'm talking about is this one:
