  1. Bolted on the air intake and made up most of wiring/cooling system. Missing one hose clamp so had to wait "test" starting it after the rebuild....ohh well, guess I'l wait til Tuesday for the big day then :)
  2. I would presume that you should use the VR6 one - as I think they are also fitted a bit different. f.ex the spring goes directly to a "bracket" that's on the beam itselfe - I think the other ones will have a loose bracket that the spring attatches to. (The calve itselfe is also atatched with bolts going from inside out - where the others I think is fitted with bolts going from outside and in - The VR6 uses M8X60 bolts, and the others use M8x14). My brake valve (VR6 version):
  3. The brake pressure regulator's I guess is different. Among a few other things - the tension spring on the VR6 is much shorter then the one on the G60. :)
  4. A small update - before I get around to actually starting it up :) refurbished alternator - powdercoated:
  5. bumping this to see if anyone know if they will fit without rubbing and without spacers?.
  6. Looks good - any idea if the ones I listet would fit ?
  7. Anyone know if the following Borbet T will fit fine on a corrado - no rubbing etc.... 7,5x16 et35 + 9x16 et 30 (and will it fit over the VR6 brakes)?. Anyone got a pic of them fitted on the corrado would also be nice :)
  8. As I'm having a hard time finding the right silver (with sparkle) powdercoating finnish for my Speedlines I'm starting to think I might go with black chrome/gunmetal color. anyone have any pics of a blackberry with rims in that color?.
  9. I think the brown is a temp sensor used to air-con (IIRC). The yellow one have been replaced by a black one I think (don't think one will get a yellow one from VW today).
  10. refitted power steering hoses, refilled power steering fluid. connected the TB to the intake manifold and put on some bits and pieces to it, ready to go onto car.
  11. That yellow wire can fit if you have one of these on your oil-filter housing :) If I'm not mistaken by the first wires those are for the Oxygen sensor - there is one connection for the oxygen sensor and one for a knock sensor back there....a bit hard to tell from the pic...:)
  12. Just thought I'd post a pic on how they sat on my car.
  13. hmm, ok, as my Passat VR6 also have one.....
  14. I'v gotten many replies over at vortex - and it seem that it should be there, as one of the guys mentioned he had seen several C's with the rear aluminium bracket broken, due to this bracket been taken away. It also shows up in VW part catalog. I'v fitted one now from my passat part car :)
  15. Not 100% sure - will try to check tomorrow (if I'm going to the place I work on the corrado) - but I *think* it's supposed to sit as the 2 others.
  16. I'v had the same thing with my VR6 - I didn't do much investigation into it - as I'v now rebuilt pretty much all of it - still a bit left, so not sure if the problem is still there. I would have a look at all earth/ground connections, and make sure you have good connection from negative battery thruout the engine room. Also might want to change out the plugs.
  17. Must say that I'v been buying quite a bit of parts from VW dealers for my Corrado - and I'v been pleasantly surprised - due to being member of a norwegian VW-audi club I get quite a bit of discounts - from 10 to a bit over 20% on the parts. When I look at other shops selling non OEM stuff they are actually much the same price - and many times over what VW will sell it for :) I also have to take into consideration that there is no shipping cost or "tax" from the post office to pay the "tax" on the parts, when I order from overseas...:) And generally - atleast in my experience OEM parts tend to have a longer life line - atleast for parts that "wear out". Positive thing about buying from VW also is that if they see demand for parts they will continue making em :)
  18. To answer my own question - YES! :) can't remember I removed it, so guess it might have been lost by a former owner or something...:(
  19. ok, I thought it was that one - but wasn't sure. Do you know if it's that given wire? (doesn't seem to be any other that fits in that area...;) )
  20. I think it's actually supposed to connect here: Really not sure what that thingy does - but it sits on the oil-filter housing. it's not on my Passat VR6 though, and from your pic I can't see it in your car either :)
  21. Installed DubNutz braided fuel lines and gruvenparts fuel line brackets:
  22. A small update: installed the DubNutz stainless steel fuel lines and Gruvenparts fuelline brackets: And some pics of the front brake calipers sitting on car:
  23. Seeing on my Passat VR6 there is this bracket that goes from the gear box and back to the rear engine mount. Is this supposed to be on the Corrado as well? (can't remember if I removed it when I first took out the engine). The bracket in the Passat: The passat has the same "bracket" as the corrado in the rear of the gear box.
  24. it's an original VSR - guess the price is quite fair ?.
  25. Does the car have to be at a shop to get a remap - or can one get a new chip that fits this intake? (or send in the ECU)?. I'm in the thinking box as to buy one or not - AFAIK it's complete, and costs roughly £650. Are they supposed to be coming with a TB or is that the same ? (if not will it work with the original TB?)
