bumping this - if anyone knows :)
-
I'v re-installed a frost plug where a engine warmer used to sit - but it's started to leak a small amount of fluid so will have to replace it again. Anyone got any tips on some good "sealer" type of thingy I could use when re-fitting a new plug? (it's only a small leakage, but it needs to be sorted)....:)

I'v actually just used since very young - and in the beginning it was meant to be the same a "Maverick" - in "norwegian" it would almost be pronounced the same - so I stuck with it :) (supposed to be much like "maverick" :) ) -

Not sure what the C have (can't rememeber) I thin it's called JR or JB or similar - the Passat I think have a K&N and realy love the sound of that, but might hvae to check out BMC though, Do they do kits with a heat screen ?? -
Absolutely love it myself - just recently got mine registered so I'v done less then 2000 km in it yet, but always manage to put a smile on my face - and actually seem to putting smiles on other faces as well. when mine was about to be registered here in Norway I met a guy that used to own one when he lived in the canaries - as he said he missed the car, and had have lots of fun in it :) it's also satisfying to see how many people that actually *look* at the car when one drives by :) Had a couple of guys doing an "overtaking" on a dual road - passing all other cars on the road - once they come up to the Corrado they take a he*** of a long time to move passed - for anyone not checking the car out....lol...:) (have to add that the Corrado is a very rare care in Norway)....:)

I kinda think my Vr6 Corrado sound "tame" compared to my Passat VR6 - which have a much powerfull "voice"......can this be caused by different power filters??? The Passat have more of a "roar" to it - and if one floor it - people *will* turn their heads :)

Met a BMW 1 series who thought he had a chance out of a roundabout.........he was lost just outside the roundabout.....lol...:) The funny thing I was passing him at a normal speed on the "highway" and was quite a bit ahead - but suddenly he was on the outside of me in the roundabout and trying to floor it out of it.........:)

Yeah i wasn't being rude mate, it was a very subtle pun on what I had written previously. Forgot to put a smiley in afterward. Anyway I can hardly comment, some of the crazy tunes I have posted here won't be to anyone's taste! Never thought you where rude m8 :) many crazy tunes around...lol...:)

It hold the cable that runs to the fans - at least on my VR6 - I was wondering about this thing myself when I put it back together ;) As it sat on mine:

I quite like that. Any particular album to go for? That I do not like. Video is ok though. haha I don't like it myself - just though it was "fun" (as in REALLY BAD).......lol.....

Pulled out most of the stereo system, spare tires, took it for a ride and took a weight of it - filled the tank and weighted it again. Hopefully get it weighted by the gov people tomorrow so I can get it registered at last......

yea - well you can say they have a "standard" for passanger weight which is 75kg per person - meaning that for 4 persons it must have 300 kg available when the car is weight when empty and up to the maximum allowed weight. The Corrado has maximum allowed weight of 1580Kg - meaning it must weigh 1280kg max - and it's stated from VW 1285 - and the swedish documents stated around 1400kg. When I checked tonight with the spare tire out it came in roughly at 1275 with full tank of gas, meaning that it's within the limit :) Hopefully it will work alright tomorrow....:) -

Finally something positive today - spoke again with the gov guys, and they said they could weigh the car for me - and I just should make sure to toss out spare wheel +++ that I don't need if it was close to the limit. Was up just now on the weight to check and it seem to come in right around 1275Kg - max limit was 1280 to get 4 seats :) Hopefully they will be able to work that out tomorrow - so I can register it after the w/e :) -

Small update - not so good though. Have gotten the car in for a inspection before getting it registered - all went good - however there are wrong data about the car in the Swedish documents - turns out it was registered for only 2 people there, and the weights are wrong. So the pr*** at the gov inspection center won't register it for 4 people - and the VW importer here in Norway don't seem to be able to give me a confirmation of weight etc. TÜV could give me a certificate for the technical data of the car - but that wasn't sufficient for the gov goones. Guess it won't be registered this year afterall - gives me time to think about braking it......doubt it, but I'm considering it :)
