Hi all, im back in the hunt for another dub I’ve left the dub scene hated it and need to come back this will be 6th but I just don’t know what I want well I’ve narrowed it down to 3! Just thought you guys could give me some opinions! so another g60 corrado which I know and love or a mk2 VR6 or a mk2 g60??? I’m swaying towards a mk2 vr at the mo has anyone owned one? will be good to gauge opinions from what you all think? Cheers Andy

Hi guys goldie just emailed me saying my old G60 was down at g-werks with the engine out and some 16" spokes not the borbets anyone know whats happening to it? or who owns it? maybe in for a FMIC?

leon defo worth it on the G matey! instead of buying new i'd get a standard g60 one or yours if you can be without it and send it of to be lightened dont go to light though as it will cause engine to stall!

what g60 did you buy chap? also darren will mail you an oil cooler if thats what you want! abd in answer to your other question no there not cheap to run

p.s also your not doing massive mileage so if you can get a petrol with good economy a diesel wont be saving shed loads! if you were doing 20k+ a year i would say buy a diesel i have been told that one of the small yaris engines is lively and gives very good mpg

i still opted for a petrol instead of a diesel and i brought a little clio 1.6 16v and im averaging 39mpg to that and 41-43 on the motorway which i am very happy with so just depends what you want!

hi guys abiut a year ago i started a wheel offset thread with also peoples suspension set up and other useful info like brake sizes that will fit and spacers etc ill have a look for it!

hi goldie i've changed my car like the wind in this last year I sold the corrado in november and brought the mk3 vr for the move to bath! got that up there and parking was so diabolical and was always in fear of it getting dinged and scratched etc! so i sold that and i just brought a 2000 plate renault clio 1.6 16v 1/2 leather air con etc which is good and does me 43mpg but its just not a vw is it the metal they use flex's when you push down on the bonnet! but i am gonna keep it coz it suits me up here. and it jus doesnt feel solid at 90+ and i just miss having something to tinker with so im just in the hunt for a cheap but solid base vw! either looking at a mk2 or a corrado the C has more preference and i think i want another g60 but basically I just want a solid base I can do up over the next year! so looking for a cheap rado under 2.5k! Cheers Andy P.s guys that price is the price I thought it was worth not the actual price i just waned to gauge that if i got a vr with leather for 2.5k i'd be doing alright as long as the bodywork isnt awful

Hi all how much should i expect to pay for a 93 plate VR, basically its a friend of a friends from work who said there thinking about selling it but he hasnt thought of a price yet? the car is Dragon Green, Leather, Stainless Zorst, K&N, 131k nearly full service history bodwork not the best has a few scratches! standard alloys! thats all i know i'm waiting on a picture at the moment! oh yeah i was thinking around the 2.5k mark but was just wondering lads and ladies what you think i should be buying it at? i might do that khurrado dom - if i could still drive it and have a garage for her mate i wouldnt of sold it, when i do go bak i want a mk2 edition 1 though!

Hi lads was jsut looking round the piston heads website at lunch like i always do and to i seen my old g60 up for sale and to be honest i was a bit dissapointed! for a start he;s changed the corrado club of great britain gear knob! he's lied about the mileage too! its actually 151k with about 17k on the re-built engine just i changed the clocks for different ones with receipt to prove full mileage and change in mileage. his description is lies as well all the stuff id done he's said is new also i dont like the euro plates here's a pic of the old girl anyway http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/146448.htm

hi walesy hows you? I've checked all fuses mate! have a passenger air bag not sure if theres one in the steering whell but its a standard vag wheel so i guess there is!

i think you've made the right decision mate im selling the VR after M.O.T next week and going for a newer small engine or diesel as with the new job i get an immense mileage rate so if i can really cut down costs, with petrol and insurance it will save me loads in the long run for example to get a ford ka insured on the road in bath with my 6 points and as a business user i'll be paying less than the VR when it was garaged on the island!

hi guys just to bring this back up its defdo not connection on the steering wheel as when i push the horn from both sides i can hear the actuator near the fuse box clicking like it does for the window wipers etc. so any other ideas where is the horn and how do i test now! thanks Andy
