Kepp it for sure mate, ive thought about selling mine on multiple occasions, luckily ive had enough money to keep it while buying and trying other cars. And i found out that nothing ive had yet compares. and that was with a budget of £30k. looked at Jags, porsches, TVRs, all sorts. yes the corrado is old and yes it doesnt perform as well as the other cars, but it does have the X Factor! you'll regret it i promise you.

just got my paperwork through from renewing my insurance policy with Adrian Flux for my Corrado G60, after making a few amendments (i.e the 2.0 16V G60 conversion, among others) and instead of putting my car down as a Corrado G60, they had it down as a 848cc ROBIN RELIANT LX hatchback!! Now that would be fun, a 280bhp+ supercharged 3 wheeler! monkeys!

i hate people who tailgate too, dont see the point, doesnt get you there any quicker, and nobody has instant reactions if the car infront brakes hard. Plus if you leave a larger gap it gives you enough room to get some speed up if you wanted to overtake them.
-
thats what happens when you drive a modified car or even something a little sporty, they even tailgate my missus in her Standard G60. its all part and parcel of it. unfortunatly if you dont like it, you may have to drive a Vauxhall Omega or Skoda Octavia VRs. I wont even overtake/ speed past one of those incase they are an undercover cop car!

ive been told the TSi engine is a load of Cr*p, seems you have to thrash the living daylights out of it to get it to perform at 170Bhp standards. sounds too much like a VTEC to me....nothing happens until the end of the rev range! Now a 2.0 TSi might be different.

An1 know what supercharger this has got on it?
G60SC_Stoney replied to Shotgun Dub's topic in General Car Chat
mine doesnt sound anything like that. the only reason i can think of as to why his one sounds like that would be either a silly small pulley and/or the nasty induction kit. which brings me onto the point of WHY do people use induction kits?? they dont do the car any favours and MOST people use them because they give out a stupid sound. Give me a paper filter in a standard airbox anyday of the week! (probably the reason my BBM isnt very loud then!) -

Is there anything you dont have :) I loved that whine, but unless you have heard 1 not on video you just cant comment as they never sound truly how they really do in a vid, want mine back..... yeah, i dont have a working corrado, which i can take out and drive. ive got a shed, a garage, a spare room AND now my bedroom, full of BITS of a corrado.... -

yeah its a BBM charger, same as mine. But im pretty sure mine isnt that loud. infact nowhere near that loud. -
i believe its from the inside of the tailgate, and i think it covers the boot lock.

quality! this must have been the polo i saw when i went to pick up my 301s from wicked wheels in guildford! bet that thing is mental! Good job!
-
its on the right hand side of the gearbox, at the top near the back....its a black sensor, sort of an L shape. ill try and find some pics
-
i had that problem on my G60, turned out the speedo sensor on the gearbox was cream cracker'd. get one from VW, they are about £20 and take about 30 seconds for a blind man to fit.

Edition 38 seller - takes the money and then asks for more
G60SC_Stoney replied to Andy665's topic in General Car Chat
oh dear, dont know how people can do this sort of thing, its really out of order. A deal is a deal and my opinion of it is that as soon as money has exchanged hands the item is officially yours. If you dont need them desperatly i'd tell him to get bent and go elsewhere. you never know the other guy could be a timewaster so they MAY be back up for sale again, in which case you offer him £380 delivered for being a W*nker! -
yeah 2 different sized tanks, late ones came with 15 gallon ones and early with 12. TBH i think the MPG will differ quite dramatically between evryones G60, due to age, condition, milage and also how/if its been tuned, for example, my previous engine in the G60 had an uprated cam, BBM charger ported head, 4 branch exhaust etc, and on its 12 Gallon tank i'd get no more than 200 miles!
-
i didnt get one in the end, kind of went on the back burner due to other purchases, so where can i get one of these stroeve ones from? any chance they do a front one too? (nothing better than a matching pair! ) i take it they are polished items? need a little bit of bling in the car!

interior is all mine! just got to lay it out in the front room, and figure out what im going to do on it electrically! its really nice, a job to be proud of! -
wilwood do some skinny calipers, which means you can fit some bigger disks behind 15" wheels. im sure they are called superlites or something like that. I lot of Ford boys use them.
