  1. ooooo 16vG60 with BBS 301s.....sounds a lot like mine!!
  2. doubt they will be that old, they are the locking nuts on my Golf Highline (r Reg) cant believe the previous owner buys top quality parts for it and really looks after it, but then puts cr&p locking nuts on it!
  3. cheers guys, sounds like they are notoriously Sh*te then! ill check with my local garage to see if they have the proper tool, otherwise it looks like it'll have to be a bolt extractor!!!
  4. saw it today at gwerks, poor things looking a bit sorry for itself. hope she gets back together soon!!
  5. can anybody tell me the make of these wheelnuts and where i can get some from? ive lost the remover and cant get my wheels off!!
  6. why spend it all? surely you would be better off investing half of it just incase of the unexpected and then spending the rest ? or am i being a boring old man?
  7. so come on then, when is the next one ? i really enjoyed it last time...except for the fact that my wheel arches were eating my tires on the drive back with you!!
  8. never realised RMs could look so good!! same here.....
  9. the Government is getting us where it knows it cant lose. People are too lazy to walk to work/ dont like getting public transport/ need the car for work etc, (i.e cant do without it) and so they are the easy targets. same way as everything else. what we need to figure out is how to move the tax from being on cars/fags/alcohol and onto something else, stupid thing is they take money for everything!! soon oxygen will be taxable!!!!!
  10. anybody know if these are a worthy investment if you have a supercharger ? been thinking about one for a while, but if i can get cheaper power elsewhere i wont bother...?
  11. ive been through the phase of running streched tyres on my Porsche silver roses. although they were the best looking set of wheels/tyres ive had on the car to date, and DID NOT have any issues with handling/tyres coming off etc, if i ever wanted to take the car round Goodwood, i dont think id have as much/if any faith in it from the moment i turned the key.....
  12. looks like fun. notice how the roads are all clear? probably because anything that was'nt nailed down has been sucked in, chewed up and spat out the exhaust....

ive got some pagid fast road pads and disks for a 16v. pm me if you are interested.
  14. what a legend. this is one ill be keeping an eye on. Someone who is a complete perfectionist. Well Done!! :salute:
  15. so you are telling me that you literally thrash the living daylights out of your car, and drive it like a complete loon round corners ? im a bit hesitant at doing that in my corrado, and thats got sensible sized wheels and proper sticky rubber (R888s)....
  16. or bung a BBM charger on there and dont ever worry about it needing to be rebuilt again, at the same time stick a stupidly small pulley on the charger to give it a bit more go.....then take the G60 block out increase it to 1.9 or 2.0 when you get it rebuilt, and whack a big valve head on it or do what im doing and go 16vG60....
  17. think HIC and adrian flux are one company....
  18. i balls mine up too, ended up putting the film in the wrong place, and ruined it pulling it back off. so now have the standard green backlit displays.....
  19. im £1100 fully comp with 1yrs NCB on my G60. and im 21. thats with adrian flux....
  20. think thats the raeson its still on the road, it gets tucked up in a nice garage when its not being driven, and i doubt he's stupid enough to drive it round like a nutter, at the risk of crashing one of the nicest corrados in the country....
  21. i agree with what you are saying, but as soon as you fit tyres which dont fit under the arch fully and wind the suspension right down you are compromising safety, as soon as the arch hits the sidewall and takes a chunk out of it, the tyre has lost some strength and needs replacing, but i wonder how many members on here are running wide wheels and have TOTALLY intact sidewalls.....
  22. how can it pass an MOT with a bent rear axle ? surely they cant pass it? id threaten them by telling them you'll contact VOSA and get them reported unless they fix it. then when they do fix it, report them anyway! cowboys.
  23. to be fair, the stretched tyres are needed so fit under the arches, and may be a little dangerous if they decided to peel themselves off the rim when going round a corner too fast...but ssurely going round a corner too fast is dangerous whether its got the correct tyres or not???!!!
