    well, i think he's being rather anal over a brand new car, whats the point ? i'd rather enjoy driving it for a while before i stuck it in a garage and tested the paint depth!! anyway i think he could have gone to a better trimmer, i think the 'VXR' logo is wonky: when you compare it to the line of stiching below??

    yup i third the standard airbox! nothing better, had some induction kit on when i bought it, terrible thing, get a good K+N panel filter on it.

    ive bought one of those Potercable polishers, hasnt yet arrived, so did a drop of polishing by hand, used some Megs swirl remover 2.0 and the car came up a treat, tried using just SRP as the scratches and swirls didnt look too major, and heard its quite good at filling in light imperfections but didnt touch it, put the megs swirl remover on and came up brand new, Highly reccommended stuff! dont know what its like on a rotary buffer tho, might be a bit too strong??!! Nice result on the bonnet!!

    cheers mate!! possible big plans to come, depending on how much the insurance is going to be when it comes round next year, include ditching the Konis and getting some posh H+R fully adjustables, bigger brakes and then a Nice turbo....

    ok so i finished giving the car a polish today, few more things to do (glass/leather/plastics) but here some pics.... sun kind of went down a bit when i took them but its like glass!! what do you think ?

    put my new BBS RS 301s on the Golf today as a treat!! looks Soooooo good everyone is loving them even getting big :thumbleft: from people driving by and when getting out of saying how nice the car is!!! fantastic set of wheels!! just need to lower the front end a bit more and it'll be perfect! Cheers Darren! (will get some semi-classy pics up tommmorow-might go to Goodwood and take some MikeG60 Stylee!!) watch this space!! BRING ON THE TURBO!!

    G60s dont have a cable, they are electronic, same as the VR6 and 2.016v i believe.

    its like something from 'The business'!!! with a lot of 'f*ckin ell's and 'lift your top up luv' :lol: made me giggle!! think the nicest car in the video was the 205 Gti on the way down!! doubt you'll find any in that condition 16 years on!!

    looking good! so what are you going to run intercooler wise ? standard rallye/Golf G60 one? or a custom jobbie? also what about pulley sizes? looks like you a using the standard one in the pics, is that just for running in purposes ?

    think 110 is ok. 124 seems a bit steep, what pulley is it running ? you can buy an oil cooler which does exactly what it says on the tin. reduced mine to about 86 degrees max (even on a hard drive)

    can i ask what you will be doing about the Rev Gauge ? will you be using a standard Vag one or using an aftermarket one mounted on the dash ?
