  1. yeah i reccommend the R888's nothing stickier that in know of, tyre wise anyway! think they cost me £140 each for 205/40/17s but you can probably get them much cheaper. they give a hard ride, but then if you have a lowered car and are running big wheels who cares !
  2. still looks like a MK5 Golf thats been sat on, why didnt they base it on a Passat or Eos front end and go from there?
  3. Yay! got my internet back today after moving home so thought id give you all an update on how the Corrado is coming along, and show you all some pics: First of all i had my 17" BBS RS301s rebuilt and had the centres colour coded to the car, along with new dishes, caps and gold badges and Gold BBS bolts to finish them off, they really do look the part, just cant wait to get them on the car, tried them on the corrado last week and they just pop out past the arch by about half an inch, and look spot on IMO..... Should also be recieving my other set from Germany in the next few weeks which will be fully polished, just have to get some tyres fitted to them and see what they look like, (pics to follow) Car is still in the bodyshop having all the dents and scratches etc removed and a few other choice items removed and filled, no doubt a few of you will spot what they are, the rest of you will have to wait until she's at the shows..... Hopefully she will be ready for her grand unvailing at Edition 38 this year, but the way things seem to be going i doubt it, but that would be down to me as we never intended on getting a full respray on the car, just wanted to give under the bonnet a quick respray for the time being, but if you are going to do it, DO IT RIGHT!! The engine is all ready and built and just needs dropping in as does the Peloquin equipped gearbox, got about 80meters of different diameter plastic sleeving to sleeve all the engine bay wires etc to keep it all tidy underneath, along with brand new bottles and tanks etc. Unfortunalty the new lether interior wont be in her in time for the show so im jsut going to have to use my standard black leather recaros for the time being, until i can get her booked in to be retrimmed properly....i suppose she is coming along, just getting annoying as i havent driven her in about 5 months and she still aint ready!!
  4. wouldnt go too cheap, may never see them again!
  5. like the way its all about BHP, what a joke!, if you pitched my corrado G60 against my charged VR6 golf on the roads the corrado would win hands down, BHP isnt everything, there are peopel on this forum who have set their cars up to actually DRIVE properly not just to put out good 'pub figures.' if you gave the Honda some good twisty bits it would beat the 'average' corrado easy peasy, because thats what it was made for, LSD, sorted handling, high revving engine etc, wheeas the corrado isnt running any 'special' suspension to help it in the corners.plus the Honda must be using a 6 speed box too. My other halfs step brother had a Honda Integra R, hated it, everything about it, sold it and went back to his prodrive built Scooby, then onto a 530 BMW......so Hondas are good on a track but completly crap as a daily car IMO, bit like a lotus elise.
  6. yeah, beware the XKR and the XJR's the latter being 2 tonnes of metal, will still give most cars a hatd time. they dont quit! was going to buy one, but they are too 'old man' supposedly!
  7. they are punishing you for selling your Corrado and i think you deserve it To be honest! )
  8. yeah, what exactly is that for ?? filling a REALLY big bouncy castle ?
  9. just get a credit card to pay for it! the balls rollin' now mate! got to go with it! A rolling stone gathers no moss and all that! DO IT!!!
  10. i'd say thats good, check out my sig below and you'll see that you put out more torque than mine, and mine is charged and cam'd.
  11. nice! If it was only £30k cheaper i might have thought about it, might be homeless as a result though....oh well, the leather will be nice and soft!
  12. sounds like a good excuse to get a BBM charger on there!
  13. looks too plastic fantastic IMO. dont think they did their research on the visual aspect of it, im sure 99.9% of porsche drivers arent into masses of bodykit everywhere, (unless it is purely fuctional of course) just something to fall off on the way round the track!
  14. well done to you mate, i think you are one of the only people on this forum who are willing to just get things done and give new ideas a go, needs to be more people like you who dont just follow the 'trend' (which i do  )
  15. it would be like driving a missile, if you hit something, you'd either blow up or go right through it  50:50 chance....not too bad i suppose!
  16. liking that colour a lot, not really a fan of bodykits/aftermarket bumpers, but that looks quite good, not too sure about the front though, maybe its a bit too smooth, mould look better if it was a bit thinner, maybe bring the bottom ducts up a bit? like the Chrome grille though, very R32!! just need to whip the engine out again and bung a charged R32 engine back in!
  17. go onto the VR6oc and ask a guy on there called SIMEY. he is a mate of a mate and is always buying belts for his zr2 charger, im sure he will know....
  18. yeah, i had to change the ones in my sisters MK4, unfortantly she bought the wrong bulbs so i had to do the job over 2 days! real pain to do! dont quite understand why they make them like that, i carry spare bulbs in my corrado so i can change one at the side of the road if need be, Waste of time doing that in a MK4 Golf, you cant see a thing!
  19. that was my initial plan for My corrado and the golf, use the Golf for daily running and the corrado as a show car, but then one will usually get forgotton about and you find it hard to justify keeping 2 brilliant cars and not being able to use them. Hence the reason im selling the Golf. The corrado is where my heart is at, even though its all in pieces at the moment, and driving a car like the Golf on a daily basis is just wrong, she deserves better than that, plus it gives me more money to spend on the corrado!
  20. nice! would hate to think how much that cost to build! probably more than the average persons house! cant imagine it would be much fun in the rain!
  21. are those the same V2s that the germans were using in WW2?? surplus stock, slightly damp ??
