  1. I think it's pretty safe to assume that no-one else on this forum has: - had to go slowly down a road because of an Amish horse/cart YUP - annoyed an Amish person by driving past them YUP -at 60! - had an argument with an Amish person Yup, about why he didn't have lights on his cart! - been forced to call a police officer because of an Amish person Nope - found that the police officer was polite and reasonable about it all YUP pulled for speeding on NYE (twice posted limit  )told to have a nice evening Quite a lot of unusual things in one day! Did you take lunch at Milliways afterwards? Ah the joys of Nothern Ohio... Little tip for those who do go over to Mid-Ohio raceway in Lexinton... Beware men with big hats and beards, in carts with no lights! Saying that over here I do try and slow down, clutch in and roll past on Idle for any horses over here... couple of my G/F's have been horsey and seen what damage a skitty horse can do to a car too!
  2. See also... Rodent protection System!... Slowpoke! ;)
  3. Nice, like I said coilies are the way forward, £200 from E38... That roof comes from the "open" or "open air" model... full electric webasto jobbie, prone to leaking into the rear (friend had one for 3 months and it died electrically first really heavy rains we got!) I still have yet to figure out how either let alone both of you will fit into this ya pair of lanky buggers! Go the Teddy-bear route... go on dare you!
  4. Jim, get some acoustic clear carpet and just cover over the shelf and speakers. Think even Helfrauds do it now! Helps prevent "Brick intrusion" too! :D
  5. Yup they were hence the need for a 125 series tyre! The Dyane actually had a set of "sports" tyres at a whopping 135... Michelin XzX was they tyre of choice..
  6. Looks the same as my "Walker quality replacement" backbox! :gag: No amount of beating with an adjusting wrench gets it to sit straight! Ah well just as well the box has started to rot out gives me an excuse to replace it now!
  7. Using the "force" (or search function)... 16v tuning guide..
  8. 125/70/15 are also 2cv stock sizes.. used to run them on the fronts of seriously low air-cooleds back in the day.. Think Michelen still do "Normal speed" tyres in this size?
  9. JIm, give these guys a call, Sound Gallerythey have always been really good to me and my friends about advice... Yeah the site looks ike mega-bucks install stuff but they are just as happy talking about low-end stuff too. And they generally won't blind you with science..
  10. It would help explain the somewhat disproportionate number of green Storms (compared to blue ones) that crop up on here! Explains the amount of Storm badges sold on Flea-bay!
  11. Was thinking this could be a solution to that thread...
  12. 1J0 054 650 D: claims to be.. mk4 golf "Rodant Protection" The description reads... "A 5mm aluminium wire is attached to a high voltage control unit... fitted to the underside body spaces in such a way to make it impossible for small animals to enter the engine bay without touching the wire, when it does the animal recieves an electric shock (electric fence principle)" Serious? (Taken from E38 thread)...
  13. http://www.shootallmiddlelanehogger.co.uk more like! Yeah another few hundred miles on our great communications network this weekend! or maybe: http://www.undertakingshouldbelegal.com
  14. Residents of a "certain area" are the worst offenders of these fekking things.. I can't see the point of the 4x4Porker, really. As to the We'll sell and buy 2 other cars, great and where the feck will you park them? Mind you 2 smarts take up less road space than a Range Rover... TBH if you can afford to buy one of these monsters AND can afford to live in London then Bugger ya! Pay £25.00 ya tight fekkers. There's NO REASON why you should be driving Between 7AM and 6PM. Yes there's public transport (I use it every day) and no it doesn't "drop you at your door" but that is what feet and legs are designed for! It's not like the Frikkin Cotswolds FFS! No where in Central London is more than 1/2 mile walk from some form of transport... (I walk 1/2 mile to/from my Tube station!). Sorry for ranting but working in the "Square mile" the number of times I almost get run over by one these chinless tw@ts in their Barbour-jacket-styled off roader is about 2-3 times a day. Oh and while we're at it lets shoot cyclists who don't obey red lights, and anyone who "hogs" the middle lane of the Motorways too! I love Mondays!
  15. Ah cool, same header between KR and 9a though? Davewort if you have a P/no as well so I can check when I go to the local "Car parts recyling centre" as there's aren't any "old school" scrappy round here anymore! :'(
  16. Might give this a go: Bleaching Header tank Apparently idea came from here? Any-one done this and does it work? Am having "issues" seeing my [strike:2ynme2er]water[/strike:2ynme2er] Coolant levels... If not, off to GSF with a £10?
  17. Old style Sony looms (Like for my headunit) had a seperate battery for it's memory in the loom so the full-time feed would keep that charged and the Acc position would have swiotched it on and off.. My "professionaly installed" supposedly "Sony" replacement loom doesn't have the battery so my head unit just re-sets itself every time I switch off the Ign.. And both front speaker connections in that loom are intermittant as well! (avoid CCA in Aylesbury like the plauge is my advice) Off to see if I can get a proper loom for it from a reputable Sony dealer this week! HTH...
  18. Supercharged, I may have that of you as soon as I figure out which is clicking...
  19. No exploding G-lader with a "rebuilt with pride by Jabba Sport" sticker on it? VDO gauges/ Karman logo... oh yeah!
  20. Wheels, no sunroof, steering wheel on wrong side ( ), no parcel shelf?
  21. Sweet, I'll pick it up at Gti spring festi from ya? Despite this my local deal claim the out side bottom bolster isn't not listed on ETKA!
  22. Did we ever find out if the Sonar were late spec as opposed to the In-pro early ones?
  23. Lazy fekkers.. bet it's becuse it woud have to come from Germany rather than MK... Off to have a chat with anothe VAG Dealer then want to get mine sorted before ripping becomes a problem..
  24. Looks like a good late leather interior there.. and maching carpets too! Can't see the hole by the filler cap though?
  25. I've heard a rumor that the drivers side outer bolsters are no longer available from VAG, or are my stealers being lazy again?
