  1. OI! Beigy-boy answer your ruddy phone! I have a donor car and a set of D-90's waiting for you!
  2. Jon.. Props and welcome to full-on Rado ownership! Now get some photos up and hope to see you in it soon!
  3. Sorry Mum! I always go in expecting something to fail, I'm NOT a MOT tester so I don't know everything that it will fail on. However a couple days before it was due, I noticed a split UJ boot so, not being able to get one in time, and the fact that I'm out the house at 6am and not home till 8pm (by when I really don't feel much like working on the car when I get in) I gave it to my mate who's a mechanic to take for a MOT, advise me on what it failed on (if anything) and let me know how much and how long. Oh and the fact that I'd lost my front UK plate the day before to an idiot in the station carpark that took TWO attempts to destroy it it would have failed on that too! Apart from plates (with the above "fails") It did only fail on the CV Gaiter (and not on the clicky CV under it strangely enough!), and a bulging soft line (which looked fine to me when I was under the car, but I guess without tramping on the pedal...)
  4. Whey, glad to hear i'm not talking arse Sorry couldn't resist!
  5. "Field" Camper van engine removal tools: 4 tonne Trolley jack, 2 Breeze blocks and tall axle stands... gets the back of the van high enough to drop the whole engine out and drag it out without removing anything off it!
  6. have you seen this may be handy for you save you having to sell yours and find some d90s http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... 14&t=65605 Damn beat me to it! :( Stu I can drop that guy's number! :D
  7. was speaking to Dav at Pureklas about this and he's stopped doing Clear laquer as it's a real PITA apparently. Just get winter wheels and keep the polished ones for when the salts off the road.
  8. There you go... a hopefully happy ending!
  9. Lee whereabouts are you? Not on your profile. Maybe worth asking if a member who has a free couple hours coming over and walking you through your issues over the weekend? I can remember what it's like being a relative newbie to things.. (am still am on a lot of other bits still!)
  10. Looking good Josh! See you on Thursday night @ Nomads, Hemel maybe? http://www.nomadsvw.co.uk (your "local" club for local people)

    Rims advice

Golf yeah.. Rado no.. unless tehy are 16's they'll look too small in the arches... In my humble opinion.
  12. All that money and you STILL don't have a matching set of wheels Dan! Top job, can't wait to one day see this... you must have taken all the zips/studs off your clothes by now! Or do you wear an all in one Microfibre romper suit when you're near the car!
  13. Now I understood every word of that (must have been the 5 yrs growing up in Corstorphine/ Crammond!)
  14. Nice one Stuey glad to see he made it home safely! So when's the dreaded MOT? Want to see you out there in him ASAP! My vote for mods will be: 1/ Borbets! 2/ The "repossesion of my heater controls, along with all red switch gear! 3/ anything else lying around from The Crimble you still haven't sold! (PS I will have the exhaust from Crumble at the end of the month, stick a reserve on it please!)
  15. Damn you skirt wearing heathen, speak the queen's English or we'll just come and invade you all over again!
  16. Cheers guys, did a search and didn't throw anything conclusive up! Even used VAGCOM, location, port and Plug! Now any-one know if a (a will show anything more than ABS?
  17. Good cheers... Got shot of the Cab (for a modest profit). You need another Rado in your life mate!
  18. Persoanlly I'd kick right off at them... is it a local or a Chain? If the latter threaten to write letters to head office etc... They have admitted to damaging it by trying to break in without your permission!
  19. Is the VAG-COM port still under the gear shift boot? I know, I know, but I'm at work and the cars miles away so would like to know before Thursday when i'm meeting some-one with VAG-COM to have a go at my ABS issues.. Also with 9a's will VAG-COM see anything but the ABS?
  20. Only problem I can see is picking up the wrong set of "Silver Corrado" keys and having to go back in the get the right ones! Damn you Dinks!
  21. Eric, I rememeber by ex-bro in law saying the analouges wen't loaded because they'd spend all day re-filling them! They were there as a deterant... Now with Didgi cams no more film, and average speeds over the whole section so no more "blasting" between gantries either! :( Low emmisions zone in London starts today too... soon we won't be able to drive our "old polluting" cars into the capital!
  22. Marcus you need to learn to reverse! So when's the Rado bug gonna bite again?
  23. Rob, Mine will need doing end of March time too! I've just got to get the corners of the bumpers done where it's been "nudged" first! Oh and now have proper running water, and a garage to do it on too!
  24. Aye but very pictoral! Great shots there!
