  1. Right where's my Testicle rope he should hung.. Shame really a couple minutes of work putting it on here or Scirocco forum and would have probably been snapped up! Bet the breakers have made 5x that just from the interior!
  2. Fitted new heater control panel that actually lights (cheers Beigy) and decided to resist the drilled airbox till the weather dries out a bit!
  3. Personally I run slightly bent stock Rado arms, Bosch "spoiler" blades, (which have just renewed after 2+ years!), and Rain-x. A completely clear screen and no "corrado triangle"!
  4. Shame as Mark wants Doofus as a bomb about while the flying 'nana gets more work... So where were to two of you Sunday mate?
  5. Andy any update? Was hoping to be amonst the "next batch" but you didn't reply... :?
  6. Same experience at various local dealers a few years ago.. Was given a 22k LIST budget to spend on a co car and told to go out and see what I could get. Best service was from Rover/MG garage (shame the cars were cr@p) and Vauxhall.. Salesman at Ford garage kept calling me "Mate" so I left.. TBH VAG experience was pretty good, the Audi guy (was looking at A3 TDi Quattro) was top class not too pushy asked what I had to spend and what I wanted to test drive.. and then let me lose in the A3 and a A4.... same with VW lass too (but she really didn't like me getting the tail out on teh Passat TDi sport!) I purposefully went dressed everywhere in jeans/jumper/trainers as I do for all "top end" purchases. Not scruffy but not suited and booted either. Find this is the best way to see what any shop's salesman is like... Oh and I picked the Audi, until the Co told me no German (inc whole VAG Skoda/Seat)/Italian (there went the Alfa)/Japanese (Mazda 626) and had to be diesel and an estate.. so either Mondeo/Vectra/or French! Told them to stick the job if i couldn't fully choose the car I was due to spend the next 3years/100+ thousand miles in!

    SPONGY BRAKES!!

Or try silicon "race" fluid which has a higher boiling point.. but beware it doesn't mix with regular fluid so whole system will need draining and refilling..
  8. Well hopefully a happy ending to a car that seems to have gone from pillar to post of late.. Furkz, any idea if we'll see it over here again?
  9. Passat Saloon (Sedan) or 'wagen? The Wagen ones are a flatter profile..
  10. Think Danny's looking at a 150Pd with matching box.. Into a 9a16v... But sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong!
  11. And here's what most of us woke to!
  12. Playing Devil's : Had a Sabb 9000 and was the biggest pile of Cr@p I have ever owned... I got fed up of fixing it and just drove it into the ground.. had only done 125k when scrapped too... Mostly cooling and inj issues.... oh and a snapped front Coil spring "forced me to lower it" as well that was the best thing I ever did as it drove like a super-tanker... I doubt I'd ever put my own money into a Saab ever again.. and if you think VAG spares are expensive... I spent so much time in Scrappies pulling parts off wrecked 9000's...
  13. As I can't seem to find a Poll button... So who do you think got it? Jay? or... Stan? or.. Cheese/Ham?
  14. Yup would be good to see if they are just straight copies of the In-pro's or are proper late-spec shaped... Ghee, is there any-one local to you with a alte C to try this out on? Would also be good to see a side by side in-pro vs Sonar in the dark to see which is better...
  15. But how would you run it then! 5-speed and a TDi lump, sorted..
  16. ?The ex-Renshaw Rado? Go on Andy you KNOW you want to!
  17. Yeah but the price was right.. and I'll get them "customised" to my specs as well...
  18. Well MOT done and cost me: Front Number Plate courtesy of the Tw@t who hit it TWICE in the station car park CV Gaiter Rear Flexi Hose So now it will be service time next month, then the LM's arrive, allowing the Estos to be shipped to Dav to be refurbed so I can use then next winter. All on top of the usual Rado-as-long-as-your-arm list of other little jobs to do.. including trying to sort the intermittant wiring issue I have with the front speakers which seem to be activated by bumps in the road at the moment.. Wiring oh Joy!
  19. Rob! you're alive! Nooo! Keep Doofy and then G-lader him.. or sling a 2.0-16v, you know it makes sense! (as long as you ingnore things like brakes!)
  20. Could try Megs 3-step seems to be pretty good at getting small scratches out.. Or Herisites here offers a machine polish service (but he's in Northampton so maybe a bit far away?) Car looks spot on with Santa's surprised more VR's don't run them TBH..
  21. Good news mate, a little Googling and appears to be a Webasto sub-division. So you might be able to get the seals from them. Here's their web-site: Webasto
  22. Phil, they're spy shots, there's a photo on the front of this weeks Autocar or similar (saw it when shopping in Asda yesterday but wasn't allowed to stop and read it :D ) Staffs, Probes are good look at this one... Phil almost crashed the Leon laughing so hard at this and it was driven by a bloke!
  23. Absolutely. I was very very negative about the "Bangle'd" BMW's when they first started hitting the streets but now I've really changed my mind on them. Actually I think I prefer the styling of most modern BMW's to most modern Audi's! And I never thought i'd say that! The 3 series looks more understated than the Audi A4's and A5's (and more specifically the awful S5 which I absolutely detest) - the BMW 335i is far more discreet. Even the M3 isn't that in your face.. though must admit i've not seen many on the roads yet. So not going for the 500 Arbarth SS then Jim? Looking at the spy shots I've seen it'll be a "Scoop and skirt-tastic" motor! Mind you hitting the 60 in under 7.5 in something so damn small will feel like its taking 2-3 secs too!
  24. Front Offside (the worst) Front N/S Rear N/S Rear O/S (I've stripped and "polished" this one just not very well as it's winter!) So if he can give me an idea of cost from this please Marcus?
  25. How has the "secret" plan come on Mic? Any news on the rimming front?
