  1. Claret Badger, me neither, that's why it's in the bin now. Cheers for the comments guys ;)
  2. Ah bollocks! Not sure mate. I'll try have a look when I get to work.
  3. You need to remove the fuese box cover and the plastic trim bit from the drivers foot well. If you loosen the fusebox it's self you should be able to see where it come through the bulkhead. If you follow this through, you will see the routing of the cable. At the far end (right hand side as you look at the engine from the front) there is a screw type clamp to keep the cable in place. Loosen it off to get the cable out. You pull the whole lot out from the footwell to the end of the cable. You do keep the plastic sleeve on that goes above the radiator (you'll see what I mean) and the little trumpet bit on the left. To fit the new one you have to feed it in from the footwell. Put it all together the same way you took it off. To make putting the bendy end bit into the handle in the footwell a bit easier, I removed the handle (2 philips screws) and got it in that way. It's really easy to do, 20 mins tops. The only fiddly bit is feeding the cable from the footwell up through the grommet in the bulkhead. Get a friend to help. And make sure that the handle pulls the cable enough to open the bonnet before you close it.
  4. The numbers in brackets relate to the number on the pin on the late plug matey. Let me know how it goes chief.
  5. When I bought my G60 it had EBC Greenstuff pads on and i think they were responsible for the warping of the front discs. Apparently they retain quite a bit of heat and if you keep your foot on the brake once you've slowed to a stop from high speed you can damage the disc. At least that's what I was told. I've now got pagid fast roadies on and they are really fackin dusty but they work well. Glad I've only got the steelies to clean and not some BBS.
  6. In fact, I tell a lie. Here it is here http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/kb.php ... rticle&k=7
  7. It needs to be reviewed by the knowledge base meister before it can be viewed by mere mortals. It was I who wrote it but mistakenly put windows as opposed to mirrors in the title. I've now changed it but yuntil it's been reviewed, it can't be seen.
  8. Check the knowledge base mate, there's a guide on there for putting late door cards into an early car.
  9. Thanks for the nice comments guys. Fraser should have some still pics of it or there might be some on the scottish vag website by now. It's 17's on his car, not sure what make tho. Fraser will probably be on here after he finishes work @ 8 so he'll be able to confirm.
  10. Cool pics mate. Was a great drive there and back. Although we kind of bent the legal speed limits a little on the way back. You'll need to get me a copy of all the pics, I quite fancy one as my desktop. The first shot is straight from the 2006 "Black Corrado Calendar" Dinkus! lol
  11. Those seats will be on e-bay soon I'll bet. "Set of almost brand new Porsche seats for sale. Guaranteed to get the birds in your car."
  12. They are usually tucked up above the blower motor but I've no idea what they're for. Spotted them when taking my mate's dash out of his VR to do the heater matrix. Might be for ABS as they weren't in my car when my dash came out. Mine's a G60 witout ABS.
  13. Apparently a liberal application of Coke (the drink) is quite good. All the distributors use it to degrease the engines of their trucks. Obviously don't get any on the electrics.
  14. I've got the Halfords pro 150 piece kit and it's awesome. Just realised we're talking about car tools so my mate's site might be no good. He did get me a good torque wrench for £20 though. The lifetime guarantee with the Halfords proffessional tools does'nt cover any of the ratchet mechanisms, just the metal tools themselves.
  15. try http://www.saltiretools.com or .co.uk Not sure which it is but it's my mates shop and his prices are really good. If you don't see what you want on the site, give him a call, his name is Euan
  16. Cool. Thanks for the speedy reply Gav, saved me fooking my car right up.
  17. I heard that the first stig got the sack for stacking Jeremy's car. Might be lies i've heard though.
  18. Can I use GT85 to lube the charger up? Want to do it this evening as I've not done it since fitting the boost return kit (my bad). I'll be popping into Halfrauds to pick some up on the way home from work if I can. Cheers
  19. I think the spigot ring (or hole) is smaller on vauxhall too. I remember fitting my dad's 17's to the G and had to take little blue spigot reducers off so they'd fit.
  20. 'Lo all. Just wanting to get some peoples opinions on something. I've had my G60 for about 2 and a half years now and have recently been thinking of selling it to buy something else. Now, 2 and a half years is the longest I've had any car, my other 2 were just a little over a year when I changed them. When I was looking into first getting a Corrado when I was younger (20) I fancied the Vr6 but when the time came, the insurance was just silly. So I opted to get a G60. Which is awesome as it's just shy of VR6 performance and has leather and is in good nick. But, a mate of mine has just bought a VR6 and has made me very jealous indeed. So this, combined with the fact that I've always wanted a VR6 is making me want to sell the G and buy a VR (H8 RRA's is the temptation here). Now, I've never driven a VR before and I know I should before I make any decisions but I was just looking for some advice. The tuning potential for the VR6 is awesome (the supercharger GB for instance) and standard, it'll do everything my G60 will do with ease. I know it's not cheap to get more out of the VR but I just love the noise they make and the fact that it's 190bhp standard and not after a good bit of breathing on. I've waffled on now but I'm really looking for input from people who have driven/owned both a stage 4'd G60 and a std powered VR and let me know what they're opinions. If I was still at uni, I'd have the G60 up for sale and do with out a car till I found the right VR but I need the car every day for work and I don't have spare cash sitting around (just bought a house you see). Looks like I'll have to give VR ownership a miss for another year or so. Just thought I'd put up a long and boring post for you all to read. I'd apprecitare any input. Cheers
  21. Avoid Hyde Park Corner if you know what's good for you! Facking cowboys. My alarm works fine, but when you see the wiring the guy has done you have to ask why. andycowuk has seen the awesome job first hand and it is shoddy as fuck to say the least.
  22. Plus, I don't think the G60 can produce enough boost for the VR6. I might be wrong but I'm sure someone will be able to confirm or deny this.
  23. I think the dearer of the 2 is the roll of double sided sticky stuff you use to fix the membrane onto the door. Not 100% but I had to get both to do the rado. HTH
  24. Bugger! Would be up for this Andy but I've got a birthday party to go to tonight. If the drive goes ahead, make sure you get some good pics to post up.
