Thanks Kev, I wanted to go with a style that is neat but subtle (except for the wheels which are a bit of an experiment). Some ideas in the engine bay I must admit may have come from your build.
-
Not sure how you got away without the engine mounts being modified but good news. Mine didnt sit level so needed the rear left (subframe) shortening slightly to make it all sit nicely. Loving that tool, will look at getting one, great idea how the dies interlock like lego so you dont loose them. I'm going to have to learn how to read wiring schematics with my plans on the corrado any suggestions where to start. How did you come about at being so good with wiring etc and so able at getting bits like r8 intakes lol

how long dya reckon you guys will stick around until? A few of us will be attending Gti Fest so may run a little late
-
Yeah the windscreen edge will get sorted but because it's not going to be a run around and is stored under the car port there isnt any rush for it.

Just got my second Corrado for next to nothing, admitedly its not in the best condition but for what I need it for it's perfect. Some decent aspects to the car inc working sunroof, ss back box, working engine, pretty much all original too, but that will soon change lol

CHEAP Corrado I've seen for sale, Fulham

just bought one cheaper (but in worse condition), seems like these models arent much money. Even my first rado 6 years ago was less than £800. Or am I just jammy and getting cheap uns? -
nice find! Please send me a high res version too. Im pm you my email.

hi and welcome If its an original colour you will find the paint code on the inside of the boot. Open the boot hatch and look near the rear left tail lights are, just down from there on the metal work will be a label with all the option codes your car came with, inc the paint code. I think there is another label in the engine bay, but cant be 100% sure. If it's been resprayed a different colour you may need to get a body shop to mix and match.

Correct

ball joint extenders arent anything new and seem to be used in the motorsport industry so it must be possible to come up with something for the vr6. Admitadly Kev, having a new dropped hub would be the best method, are there non made for the vr6 golf as I thought they were the same part.

this could be sunroofless http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1995-VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-BLACK-/150673188832?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2314d267e0#ht_500wt_1203

i think the whole forum is dedicated to things to be looking out for or issues with rados lol. quick bodge for the handle, remove it. Welcome and good luck mate

could be the flasher relay, give it a tap when youve got the stalk indicating left or right (with ignition on). Not sure which one this is off the top of my head but im sure a quick search will tell ya. welcome to the fold.

thanks guys, didnt realise they had different sizes. Any idea which size I should go for? Trying to take the spot welds out of the boot floor pan ---------- Post added at 04:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:37 PM ---------- oh and came across spot weld cutters/removers, are these better than the drill bits?
-
ive seen some on the bay go for £80 each, thats what i consider a fortune. So would you say a tenner is a decent item? seems a bit too good to be true
-
Which is the best one to buy to help remove a number of spot welds? I dont want to waste money on one they will wear out quickly or break but also dont wish to spend a fortune.
-
might have been Chris "cdem", did you notice if it had white wheels?
-
not sure if you meant to come across abrupt but apologies for being a bit slow today. Been a long day at work and completely forgot your previous mention regarding fuel lines and engine management.
-
Still not seeing why you didnt go for late single feed injection rail with a fpr like i have. Is there an issue with this setup that I need to know about and hence go with the feed, return arrangement a la mk4/vr6

Welcome to the pact anyway mate :thumbleft:

Hey mate, look up Peterborough Dubz on facebook and get yourself added. Youve missed it's last meet of the year but the All Dubz Klub run a regular meet. Will try and come to this as I've not head of the DoF

I used heavy duty velcro, been fine for me.

James, any chance I can see your design. I came up with one a while back but cant find it at the moment. If yours is better than mine (which wont take much) I may be able to have a very small batch made up for trial purposes.
