top of b pillars maybe? modern cars have them there. Dont even notice mine on the a pillars anyway
-
ive seen these done before on other cars, eg golfs and beetles looks wicked
-
hmm, plausable, but seems strange its since the cam belt change. saying that though the car hasnt been driven for a few weeks so maybe. i can leave the car for a min or two and this problem occurs so must be bad leak if thats the problem. think it occurs more when hot

Had a cambelt change last week and ive oly just had chance to drive it. Found that when first started, you can drive for a short while (500 yards) and all of a sudden the car looses all power and seems to feel like its going to back fire. sometimes cuts out. after a few seconds it will clear itself and drive as normal. it will re occur the next time the car is started and driven from warm or cold. could this be timing or something else? 2.0 16v

cant ignore the rubbing on full lock, the mot guy failed me because of it, so have to pay £20 to get it rechecked once sorted I noticed my drive shaft are well above the horizontall. ive heard this is bad. but why so?

ok, my wheels et is 38. theres quite a bit of space from the tyre to the outer arch about 30mm thats why i thought about 15mm spacers on the front will call you up gman about this tomorow if thats ok? cheers wheel to arch distance is 300mm
-
does 20mm and 15mm sound too much, will check wheel offset asap.

I have fitted fk ak coilovers to my rado 2.0 16v and wound them down to the max. The problem i have is that my front tyres 205/40/17 on bk299 alloys hit the inner body work (the metal wall between the engine and wheel) on full lock, they also rub slightly on the plastic arches. How can i sort this? Dont really want to raise the car. Ive heard about spacers but dont know much about them except to get hubcentric ones. Any pros and cons for them? Was thinking of 15mm ones for the front and 20mm for the rear (rears seem further away fro, the arch lip) sound ok? Or should i just bash the hell out of the inner metal wall? making the clearance for the wheel?

ye may need to have vr6 5 stud to 4 stud vw pattern is it possible, will look for yoda
-
are these availible? if not would there be any reason why they cannot be made? if these can be made i may know somewhere where they would make them up. maybe a possible group buy?
-
been thinking about this more and think ill go the wide track route. ie wishbones and anti roll bar track control arms. how much am i looking at for these parts? can i go second hand? on the wiki site im sure they said if you put washers on the carrier its possible to use mk4 disks.
-
so i dont need the vr6 hub? just the vr6 flange? surely if i have to take the hub off my car might aswell put the vr6 one in its place, or will this not fit a 2.0 16v wishbone? so the driveshafts are no good? dont think i need to drill disks as i will use the 1.8t disks if these dont fit i will put 312mm disks on
-
I know this has been covered before but i cant seem to find a straight forward answer. I have a 91 16v corrado (late spec exterior, early interior) The position im in now is that i wat 5 studs so i can have more wheel choices and bigger brakes. I have: corrado vr6 hubs corrado vr6 carriers corrado vr6 driveshafts and cv joints corrado vr6 rear disks mk4 golf 1.8t callipers mk4 golf 1.8t disks also have g60 carriers (not sure if these can be used) im worried that i have to convert my wishbones too, dont want to change these due to extra costs and time. so basically can i use all the above parts to make my 4 stud 5 stud? or will i need more parts? may actually do the 312mm conversion if i can source a carrier is it also possible to attatch the vr6 driveshafts to the gearbox? prob not but would mean an easy conversion will i have trouble with abs? thanks and sorry if people are pi55ed off at seein the 4 to 5 stud post

i know it sounds like a joke. but on the mk2 golf i had, the get the gearstick out of the car i had to remove the exhaust (as per haynes manual) and remove it from underneath but now youve put me straight. thanks H8RRA, when i have the funds ill be up for one of these, didnt catch if this helps side to side up up and down movement? I found a link on another well know corrado forum showing me how to do all this. but lazy
-
is that why you grind that item? so you can lift it out? Im sure the manual said it was done from underneath. oh well soon find out when some one puts me straight what work do you do? I noticed your bored vids
-
i thought you had to remove the exhaust to get to the linkage. had to do it for the mk2 golf. im sure the rado is the same cus i think i saw it in the passat manual (similar set up to the rado) might be wrong, thats why im asking ']['H3R4POR you seem to be on every thread i read. how come? trying to beat a record? lol
-
do i need to remove the exhaust or this? May be interested
-
i might be wrong but those silver ones you can buy on ebay only cover the part where theres paint. would like to find out if im wrong though.
-
ive fitted the toad ai606 to mine. had it on my previouse car too and theyve been spot on. I always buy toad items for security now
-
found some of those on search but didnt help that much. You think if i contacted koni directly theyd offer to replace the leaking dampers? if not how do i get them repaired?
-
the surround to the tape holder clips on and off so it needs to be pulled off but be carefull as the clips are fragile. once the surround is off youll see screws that need to be undone.
-
I have koni sports and they have started to leak, not sure if i can get koni to replace them as im not the original purchaser. How much would it cost to fix the leak and where do i need to send them to? Is it possible to DIY it?

corrado vr6 vs astra gte 16v vs calibra turbo
quicky1980 replied to spike16vgte's topic in General Car Chat
Think everyone is being a little biased. Wouldnt the calibra turbo be 4x4? Ive been in a turbo 4 x 4 and its very quick in a straight line and around corners, better than the corrado I feel. ALTHOUGH before everyone bits my head off I would never choose a calibra over a corrado, after all its a vauxhall. Corrados have a personality whereas the calibras just seem to be bland. Think you just need to drive a corrado around for a little while and see all the faces turn, thinking what the f*** was that? -
