i could refurb it for you by putting in new metal ??? you wouldn`t notice the difference after i`d finished with it, just a suggestion ....... 8)
-
.................. and it`s called `skinz`, not dynamat as i last stated  it`s self adhesive pads of acoustically `dead` material that keeps road noise out aswell
-
looks like refurbing the old subframe/crossmember might be the cheapest way forward mr dinkus, :reindeer:
-
not something i`m used to on my corrado, but then mine are all soundproofed using dynamat, you can get it from audioscape reasonably cheaply, just mention your from the cf cos they like us .. i think
-
.... is that part the lower crossmember ??? now that is stupid money
-
replace engine and gearbox in my merc sprinter, i`d rather be doing the corrado tho
-
i took the liberty of phoning gpc but they no longer have any left, they are reluctant to get any more in due to the carriage costs and have told me it would be better to go to the stealers .... it will probaly be around the £240 - £ 258 price range
-
it never ends mate, it never ends .........
-
i reckon so dinkus, plus, i`d go with the suggestions put forward by kev haywire and a20 lee and get it seam welded too, it`s easier to weld up clean metal than pitted rusty old stuff, the original welding is a bit scant
-
they normally are, i`ve seen quoted prices in the £200 - £300 range, i wouldnt take a chance on the subframe personally, if it aint straight it will scrub out £100 worth of tyres in no time mate
-
give gpc a bell on 01582 728892, i bought a brand new subframe for a vr6 for £100, they may well have a few more bouncing about
-
i tend to drive big miles all over the uk and have met my share of fu*kwits, from the `control freak` type that will pull into your path on a dual carriageway to regulate your speed or will sit in the way doing below the speed limit and the second you go to overtake ( or have the opportunity ) they put their foot down, right up to aggressive drivers that have tried to `force` me off the road, i always keep something in the cab ( behind the seats ) these days after an indident in wandsworth where for no apparent reason some one had a problem with me sitting 12"s from their bumper ..... in a traffic jam for fecks sake, a bit of pushing and shoving went on but it could have escalated into something much more dangerous. It`s a dangerous place being on the roads these days thats for sure
-
........whoosh.......thats rapido  , you gotta feel sorry for the poor guy in the corrado just becoming a dot in mr goof`s rear view mirror
-
.... hurry up a*shole  ..... very funny :thumbleft:
-

-
hello triggermyson, i remember seeing a saab team doing a turn on a racetrack with a packed auditorium, no link tho
-
hello Walesy, bit of a slow day then mate ? :) i wouldnt fancy having a sudden fit of sneezing whilst doing that oposing slalom thingy  they must have wrecked a few cars getting that lot perfected
-
hello darkmatter, looks like a chilly but decent day out for you and the boys, nice to see such a good vw scene in your part of the world :thumbleft:
-
jesus alive !!!!! i know i shouldn`t but i have to say i`m kinda liking what you`ve done  you managed to keep the roof line and thats about it, it`s not my bag but well done on the effort fella :thumbleft:
-
hello Riley, i`ve got a good black carpet and speaker grilles/pockets, fancy doing a swop as i`m after the grey stuff pm sent
-
hello kongo127, you got yourself a reasonably straight car by the looks of it, i personally would get rid of the bodykit and get some doors with handles on, i`d imagine someone would buy your doors off you without any problem and i`d stay with the red, nice to see your in one piece after your little spill on the highway
-
have you tried the ebay route CIPO, ?? as good a place as anywhere to start the hunt
-
laughable, i`ll give this a bit of a miss
-
start with the basics fella ..... plugs, fuel filter, wires hanging off, ..... nothing worse than paying money to someone for something you could find yerself, once you do the simple stuff then it will help to narrow down the possible reasons for any rough running, ..... it may be useful to list any work that has been done recently as this may have some bearing on your problems you have now, ... and lastly, the search may well be a good source of info, best of luck mr kasman21,
