  1. no corrado ever left the factory with 4x4, although a couple of the guys here are building cars that you wouldn't be able to tell didn't leave the factory with it! 8)
  2. You need an adaptor cable to make the headunit recognise that there's a source connected... ;) I think panasonic actually sell them themselves...
  3. smoked on a grey corrado? Well, I wasn't sure, but now I've fitted 'em I'm more than happy! :D 8) AARRGGHH!!! "Sorry, but the maximum filesize for all Attachments is reached. Please contact the Board Administrator if you have questions." :bad-words: Right, time to cheat... ;)
  4. oh, and it lives pretty much in the middle of the car under the floor just in front of the rear axle beam...
  5. paddyg, it works on back pressure... as the liquid goes in, the air has to come out. When the pressure sensor detects that the air is coming back up the fuel filler tube, the pump cuts out. james_88, check around under your wheel arch for the pipe from the filler cap to the tank to make sure there's no damage to the tube. Then, in the engine bay there's a pipe where the fuel feed and return pipes are (it's the middle one of the three) which is the breather outlet for the tank: Make sure that this isn't blocked off or kinked. You could also look under the car to check that some thing hasn't damaged it underneath the car... 8)
  6. no idea.... you'd have to find the main unit and open it up to see if it's a standard relay or not... :|
  7. stu h, That's the Storm that Tiff returned to the factory... THE last one... :(
  8. ...and as if by magic... ;) The stub axle is only held on by a few large bolts so is pretty easy to change... IIRC Euro and GSF both sell 'em... Personally, I'd get someone to have a GOOD look at the rear axle too to make sure it's not bent as well... :|
  9. looking good... I've always had a soft spot for this type of Passat... 8)

    isv re-route.

yup, as long as the ISV is OK too... 8)
  11. yes, they're the same. I don't ever advise fitting second hand shock absorbers though... :| GSF and Euro will sell you a pair for not a lot... much safer in my humble opinion... ;)
  12. the brake bias adjuster works on the height of the rear suspension.... The theory is that if the rear end is down on the ground, it's gonna get more grip at the rear so it'll allow more braking force to get to the rear calipers. If the rear end is up in the air then the rear brakes are more likely to lock up, so it'll limit the amount of pressure getting to the rear calipers. When you lower your car, you should re-set the bias adjuster to the factory setting to ensure that your rear brakes behave as they should rather than thinking that there's a large weight in the rear causing you to lock up your rear wheels every time you brake heavily... :|

    Momo wheels

yup, 205 45 16s on my 7.5" borbet Cs too... 215 will throw your speedo out a bit...
  14. I'd bet that it'll be a dodgy relay inside the main alarm brain... :|
  15. http://www.gpcvwaudi.com do the leather knob for about £20 and the gator for a little more... Give 'em a ring (don't email 'em 'cos they're pants with computers! ;) ) and see what they say... 8)
  16. I was just thinking about where I'd written that how to Rack... Cheers for posting that up while I was away! 8)
  17. get hold of some JB weld (liquid metal)... Follow the instructions on the tubes and bolt on the bracket so that it'll hold the broken part in the correct place it needs to be... that should sort it out... 8) (I've seen people repair the combustion chamber part of cylinder heads with JB weld successfully in the past, so it'll definately take the heat off the bottom of the block! ;) )

    Quick Head Question

you need a set of valve spring compressors to get the valves out... They're basically a big set of clamps which squish the spring down enough so that you can flick the valve collets (little clips) off the valve stem to let the spring and spring cap release off the valve... You'll suss it quickly once you get hold of the correct tool... ;)

    isv re-route.

potatonet, yeah, but by doing that you're not allowing the engine to prevent pinking at high boost (therefore high revs) which may result in a rather large bill to replace your melted pistons! :| I'd rather loose a little boost when the ECU detects pinking then melt my engine... ;)

    Sebring backbox?

 I is an engineer too... with letters and all! 8)
  21. you may find that destroying an old throttle body to nick the spring off it, and then fitting that spring to the weber will help with the drivability of your car too... ;) 8)
  22. did you add in a second spring to the firebreather to stiffen up the pedal a bit?

    idle set up probs

25000 rpm? You got a jet engine in there?!? ;)
  24. never done it, so I can't help that much... :| I've only swapped seats and door cards before, I never took the dash or carpet out....
  25. ah-ha! I knew it was something to do with you Shilakadaddy! I was just searching for the post you put it in! 8) :D *edit* Found it! :D HERE!
