ooooh, no, manual all the way for me! :) I don't think I've ever actually been in an Auto Corrado... :| Used to have an 1.5 Auto MKI Golf though... lots of fun sat in summer traffic jams on the motorway with both feet on the dash getting odd looks from people as you use the gearbox and handbrake only! ;) 8)

My pedal travel is also fine, and I've got the Brembos on the front too! 8) Kev? I still can't see how thicker pads makes a difference once the caliper's taken up the slack after the first press after fitting the pads... I think you're imagining it mate! ;) :D
-
isn't this the counter threaded one? I seem to remember that one of the handle bolts is a left handed thread... :| Anyone care to confirm? 8)
-
OK.. 8) (it's THE last one out of the Scotford warehouse too! 8) ) I'll PM you tomorrow after work when I've dug it out and taken some pics... 8)

DelVR6 has a set on his VR6 which he picked up off ebay for a nice tidy sum and then got re-furbed (although they're 5 stud, obviously) I know LeeW used to have 17" versions on one of his old motors, so there are a couple more about wearing them somewhere... 8) Oh, and I wasn't joking when I said I've a spare in the same offset as yours if you're interested... I'll dig it out and take a photo of it for ya... It doesn't match mine, and I've got 6 anyway (not including this one!) so I'm fine for a spare and just want shot of it! 8)

Ho-leee-sheeeeiitttt..... :shocked!: Now that's a proper sorted, well thought out modded car... 8) Utmost respect for your work there.... 8) exceptional... (did you guess I quite like it?!? ;) ) The whole dash re-trim thing is a difficult one... Alcantera looks good, but I'm unsure as to how hard wearing/ long lasting it is... Leather looks great, but you run the risk (as you mentioned) of it reflecting and putting you off while driving (with 500WHP, something you REALLY don't want to happen! :| ) Just leaving it alone kinda lets the whole thing down a little when you've gone as far with this as you have... Dunno... :? Keep on posting the pics... this is gonna be one awesome car when it's done (again! :) ) 8)

yup, they're in the lower bumper on the left as you look at it, built into the bumper's grill in a metal plate... 8)

8) did you space 'em in the end or not? Look good on your car... :)

Nope, Salford Quays, although it feels a similar distance some mornings! I do have a habit of going for a little drive some nights which can end up somewhere silly like Cardiff, just 'cos I was bored and my insomnia had kicked in again... :| (I live near Macclesfield, so you can gauge how far that is! ) Definately mate... and my clocks have got about the same amount of milage missing off 'em too, although not by my choice...  I don't see the point in having a car I've put this much work into if I'm not gonna enjoy it... that's why I bought the car in the first place! 8)
-
yup, I wanted 'em to be as OEM, only with the white and red bits glowing white and red at night... I can make silver dials myself (and actually have them fitted at the moment!) but these would be something a little different and just nice... 8)

THHGTTG has that kinda effect on people though... it's the warped sense of humour which just gets me every time along with some of the ideas and throw away one liners... 8)
-
240K+ at the moment and rising by around 15 to 20K per year... 8)
-
8) just make sure it's a glass one from that age range passat and you'll get the correct one... 8)
-
nah, it was started WITH DNA at the healm until his sad demise, then they've included his family in so it should be fairly faithful to the whole HHGTTG style.... 8) Although the TV series was nothing like the books which were nothing like the radio plays, so making the film slightly different again will fit in nicely! (and yes, I do own copies of the books, DVDs and radio plays... )

The problem with the answer to the meaning of life the universe and everything being 42 (as computed by deep thought) is that the question to the answer of the meaning of life the universe and everything (computed by the earth) is "what is six times nine." Now I am sure all of you math whizzes out there are pulling out your calculators and confirming that six times nine is in fact it is 54, NOT 42. So in the end the universe is an equation so complex that, put in the form of a differential equation, that the left side reduces to 6 times 9 and the right to 42. P.s. The Tuesday evening journey home is about to get sooooo much better... http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/hitchhikers/ 8) 8) 8)

42 But it's not the answer that's important, it's what the question is that's the really tricky bit... ;)

 I aim to please... ;) 8)

Passat 91-95... 8)

VenomMotorsport sell's em in ABS plastic so they don't destroy themselves the first time you look at a curb! ;) About £350 all in IIRC... :) *edit* yup, mine's sold and gone... and about to be fitted to someone elses car... 8)

blue is a bit of a bugger to do 'cos it makes the light coming through so much darker, so you normally have to put in a brighter bulb... That's why I went with red 'cos it's a lot easier to do and looks just as good... 8)

Good point coolrado, think that this'd need some experimentation to get it to work... :|

and as if by magic... ;) 8)

yup, the MKIII ones also suffer from a similar handbrake failure to the MKII ones... The MKIV ones don't and also WORK, which is still something the MKIII ones can't say.... :|
