  1. it's worth re-seating all of the relays above the fuses in the fuse box and ensuring that all of the multiplugs on the back of the fuse box are all clipped in properly... removing the dash is a fairly major job and will involve snagging at least a couple of wires if it's not your own car and you're being overly cautious about it... ;) If the people who did the matrix for you have caught a couple of wires during the work, it's very possible they've pulled the multi-plugs on the back of the fusebox out enough to cause all sorts off weird problems... Dunno about the HRW switch, I've only owned early style dashes... :?
  2. hopefully we won't be saying the same about the 1.9 TDI lumps though... ;)

    Mocal Oil Cooler

them are BIIIIGGGGG intercoolers... : If you need to move it, you'll have to get some longer oil pipes (although you've probably already thought about that! ;) )

    Vr6 Rad on G60

yeah, I couldn't fit the original fan cowling in my engine bay due to the take off for the mocal oil cooler and the intercooler causing the rad to sit slightly further back at the top, so I got a pacet fan too 8) If the fan's running at least you know you aren't gonna overheat it, which is good... I was just wondering what sorta temps you were running is all... 8)
  5. As far as I remember, it goes a bit like this... 8) 1.8 16V = group 16 or 17 depending on insurance company 2.0 8V = group 15 or 16 depending on insurance company 2.0 16V = group 16 or 17 depending on insurance company G60 = 17 or 18 depending on insurance company VR6 =18 storm = 19 (Never have understood that bit seeing as it's just a VR6 with a few badges! ) *edited to add group 15 in for 8V - Cheers Phat...*

    Vr6 Rad on G60

scruffydubbers, have you got your's running properly yet? Reason I ask is that I'm now using a Golf G60 intercooler in front of a NEW VAG G60 rad with a 12" pacet fan, a 19row Mocal oil cooler where the old intercooler was and my water temps rarely go over 90 and oil barely touches 105... :? Just wondering what sorta temps you are running with the VR rad on a G60, and if it's a little bit of overkill? :? Oh, and I now have mine relayed after discovering that the fan was only getting 8v!

    Mocal Oil Cooler

that's where I planned to fit mine until I remembered I'd got a full front mount intercooler... Mine now lives where the old intercooler used to be... 8) (same sized one though, from JMR too! ;) )

    Steering Wheel Boss

momo, raid, sparco and a few others make bosses which DO fit Corrados though... unfortunately not many of these will fit a Mountney wheel though... :?

    Headlight Mod

in 2 words? HELL YES! 8) This mod (and probably the Lupo wipers mod a close second) is a must do to any Corrado... the difference in the lights is unreal... Bright, White light instead of a dim yellow glow... 8)
  10. hey, I take no credit for that one... someone else on here pointed it out just about the time I was going to buy my clutch... 8) Big up to THE FORUM again... 8)
  11. I'm sooooooo glad I've got my press card... no queues for me...
  12. Eurocarparts do 'em for a good price... make sure you get a LUK one as Sachs are having a few quality control issues at the moment... ;) 8)
  13. In order... nope, but probably a good idea to get one from the time when Corrados were being built so you know it'll fit! ;) dunno - I bought a VR6 Corrado one, but seeing as my gearbox now has a Golf VR6 input shaft, 1st and 2nd, I'd guess it's the same! ;) and yup, they are... 8)
  14. yup and yup... 8) (and it's a few quid cheaper too! 8) )

  16. my Golf G60 one was £500 inc all pipe work... makes a hell of a difference... 8) There's a golf G60 one up for sale with rad and fans etc on Dubforce at the moment for £500.... not sure if it comes with pipework though... 8)

    Steering Wheel Boss

Mountney don't make a boss for the late MKII/ early Corrado column.... I've had loadsa problems trying to source one for a mate's missus for her Golf...
  18. That's only on a G60...
  19. he's not kidding... I thought it should have been a 5 bar sender too, but it's definately a 10 bar gauge... :?
  20. why do you want a paddle clutch in there?!? With the kinda spec you're talking there, you're gonna be maxing out at around 230BHP... Stick in a decent VR6 clutch (straight swap!) and you'll be laughing... easy to drive and plenty of grip with factory smoothness and actually slightly cheaper than a normal G60 clutch! :? 8)
  21. Euro and GSF also do 'em, but they're a pig to find on their websites...

    Mocal Oil Cooler

lol, so no problem with coolant or oil loss as you change the pipes over then! 8)

    Mocal Oil Cooler

Complete list: 1x sandwich plate with 90degree thermostat 1x Oil cooler (how ever many row you want, mine's a 19 row) 2x pipes to connect plate to cooler 2x VAG rubber water pipes to remove the original oil cooler plumbing You'll probably also need a couple of rubber mounts to mount the cooler to the car, and it's worth doing an oil change at the same time seeing as the oil filter's gotta come off anyway... Have a word with 16VG60 about the complete kit... I got mine from him (John of JMR) and it was around £120 all in... It's made one hell of a difference to my oil temps dropping them by an average of 15 to 20 degrees! doesn't go above 105 now... 8)
