  1. Email it to me, and I'll sort it for you.... 8)
  2. I think that mine's a split decision between the UPS one and Bart 2.0i 8v's one... I hope that mine will look similar to this one when it's done! 8)
  3. John (16VG60) supplied my Mocal cooler with enough pipework to fit it where my original intercooler was... 8) There's quite a few people who supply these, and the kits are all very similar and well worth the money! 8)
  4. which bit? You didn't attach a picture... Try this one... Part 15, or part 17?
  5. Let's put it this way, the G60 badge on my grill ain't going anywhere without the grill!
  6. Which engine has your C got in it?!?
  7. Have you taken it off to have some work done to it? I've just got mine back from Darren (G-man at G-werks) and it looks lovely now... I know what you mean about knackered bolts... Mine had a Jabba stage 4 rebuild less than 16K miles ago (and just OVER a year  ) and the bolts were a sod to get out... Darren also found that the Apex seal was almost dead, and the bearings WERE dead... I'm much happier about running it on my new engine now it's been done by someone that you can actually talk to! 8)
  8. 6months? how many miles? :? I trashed a set of cheap tyres on my MKI 16V in around 4 months and 6000miles and since then have only used good make tyres and have slowed down quite a bit!

    Ignition leads

 How much?!? Betcha you're glad that you didn't have to pay for 'em!
  10. 191 *** *** = MKII Golf... Someone's swapped your relay for an early golf one. AFAIK They are interchangable so you can fit the later variable relay into an early car... 8)
  11. Nope, Nokia also make speakers... In fact, when the Corrado was launched, that was pretty much their core business!
  12. Nah, my old H plate 16V had it... In fact, thinking about it, my old MKII Golf GTI (G plate) had it too... 8) (and with any luck, my MKI 16V WILL have it when I get around to rebuilding it! )
  13. YAY! good for you, welcome to both the forum, and to the wonderful and colourful world of Corrado ownership! 8)

    Veeeeering

Could be any number of things, but I think that you're barking up the correct tree about it being a suspension problem. 8) Check Tyre pressures and tracking, then topmounts, wishbone bushes, balljoints and trackrod ends. Jack up one front wheel, and check that there is no play around a horizontal axis (push on top of wheel, pull on bottom, then visa versa) There should be NO movement at all this way. Push and pull on both sides (leading edge and trailing edge) of the wheel (like you're pulling it off/putting it back on) again, there should be no movement. Have a look at the bushes where the wishbone attaches to the chassis, if these look cracked or split, they're dead. Remove the wheel, and check (carefully!) that there's no play in any direction on the strut (obviously excluding suspension travel!  ) Put the wheel back on and check the other side. If there's movement in any part of these tests, you should be able to see where the movement is originating from and work out which bit is dead. 8) Now do the same on the other front wheel.
  15. Nearly, turn 'em onto the intermittent setting, (down on the stalk) wait for it to complete one sweep of the windscreen, turn 'em off and wait for how long you want the delay to be, then put 'em back to the intermittent setting... 8)
  16. Yoga time I'm afraid...  IIRC There's 6 on the inlet, and 8 on the exhaust. There's also a support bar that's got a bolt on it that goes between the inlet and exhaust manifolds in the middle at the very back which has a 13mm hex headed bolt on both manifolds... Took me a while to find that the first time I took mine off!  I'll have a check when I get home seeing as how my inlet manifold is in my utility room at the moment... (don't ask, long story! )
  17. yup, all C's should have them as standard... 8) (in fact most VWs had them from late H plate onwards) Do you know how they are supposed to be activated TOBY? The idea is that you turn on your intermittent wipers, after it's done a sweep of the windscreen, turn 'em off and wait for the length of time you want the delay to be, then turn 'em back to intermittent again. Voila! the delay between wipes should be teh delay that you waited between turning off and then back on again... 8) IIRC, you can set it at anything between just under a second upto about 6 seconds delay time... 8)
  18. That's the general idea. 8) G12+ should now have replaced both G11 and G12 and should be the only stuff available, however, some less reputable places may try to sell you G12 (which is the one that won't mix with G11) to clear their old stock. G12+ can be mixed with either G11 or G12 with no problems. 8)
  19. You'll need G12+ coolant... Don't use normal G12 as it reacts badly with the original G11 and forms a jelly like goop in the waterways stopping the coolant from working... :? You can get it cheaply from Euro Car Parts and some other places as well as VAG, but I don't think that most motor factors will stock it... 8)
  20. It's already been done less than 300 miles ago! (it's my old I/C!) I've got the fitting guide here, and I'll post it up in a few mins once the queue of people outside my office sod off!
  21. Yup, you're right, BUT the return fuel line to the tank relieves that pressure (sounds like a headache tablet advert! ) so the pressure in the pipe to the injector rail stays pretty much constant, and any increase in temp due to pressure will be miniscule... 8)

    here we go again?

Yup, Lambda = O2 sensor And Yup, if it's dead (or your knock sensor is dead) then your car will over fuel massively causing nasty, unburnt fuel to come out the exhaust in blackish smoke... Also it'll kill the cat if you've got one fitted... :?
  23. Ooops, I hadn't realised that you were all on about VRs/SLCs... The baffle I mentioned is for a G60 engine... The G60 (PG) also has the jets to cool the piston crowns, and the standard oil pump is supposed to be hefty enough for all road use applications, which is why I fitted a new VAG one, not an upgraded one... 8) *note to self, READ the first post before replying...*
  24. It doesn't cool the petrol, it stops it sitting next to the hot areas of the enginebay and re-circulates the fuel back to the tank where the petrol in the tank cools the warm petrol from the line. It never increases the pressure in the lines, only keeps it steady and moves the fuel around... 8)
