use the search button up on the top bar... There's LOADS of threads about water leaks and their causes... try searching for "fan and leak" 8) Welcome to the forum! 8)

I think that the engine rear mount isn't too bad to do either, just make sure that the engine's not been run for a while or you'll burn yourself on the exhaust manifold! There's 2 bolts to get at from undernieth, and then 3 on top... I have no idea how difficult it is to get out once it's undone though... :? Good look! 8)

Gearbox one is a sod to get at if you've got ABS as it's under the pump on a 'rado. :? Basically to do the gearbox one on a 4cylinder 'rado: Jack up gearbox side of the car and remove the wheel. (so you can get in at the mount!) Undo the bottom bolts into the mount. Then the top ones. Jack the gearbox up slowly, with a block of wood between the jack and the gearbox to stop damage to the box. You should now be able to remove the mount, and get the new one in from underneith. 8) Then you just need to bolt it all together... 8) The rear engine mount I've not done in a conventional way. I removed the engine for a rebuild and will do the mount while it's out!

That's the kit I threw away! :? The kit is made up with the bilstein standard shocks and a set of ventura springs... The shocks just can't handle the springs so the ride quality is nasty afterwards. Bouncy, harsh, choppy and rough, not good at all...

I've just managed to persuade my parents to buy one and get rid of their Hyundi Coupe... 8) I really am impressed with the build, looks, and attention to detail that's been put into it. It's a 110 TDi, but it doesn't half go! 8) Dunno if I'd go as far as a comparison with a C, but I can definately see where you're coming from with it... :)

In Skiption? Bloke driving with a lady in the passenger seat...

That's exactly how I did mine... 8) Headlights out (for access and to prevent damage!) Undo the 4 bolts on the fan shroud Remove the charger -> I/C and I/C -> Throttle pipes Take out the fan and shroud. Undo mount bolts and nut Jack up engine Swap new mount in, and put everything back together again... 8) It's a bit fiddly getting the new mount in, but definately not impossible or too much hassle.

I threw the set I had of these springs and shocks in the bin. They are mega harsh and choppy and really screw up the handling and comfort of the car. I'd advise avoiding them as much as possible. :?

Seen another 2 ... A dark red G60 on the M66 just past the M60 heading towards Burnley on Saturday lunchtime, gave me an odd look as I overtook him in my Driver while admiring his car... Black G60 J plate with eyebrow in Skipton town center about 2:30 on Saturday afternoon, followed me through the town center. Looked stunning. :) Anyone here?

Welcome to the forum! 8) Most people (including myself!) say that Genuine VAG brake disks and pads are pretty good, although most have a preferred upgrade. Everyone agrees that bleeding the system through and possibly replacing the brake fluid with DOT5.1 makes a difference too... 8) If you don't know the origins of the disks/pads that are on your newly purchased Corrado, and you don't like the feel of them, I'd bleed the brakes first to make sure it IS the brakes you don't like, then think about changing the disks and pads for something different so that you KNOW what's fitted if that doesn't help... There's quite a few threads on here about brakes and which to go for and why... Try a search and see if you find anything that makes sense to you for any upgrades... :)

Probably not, it should just need setting up... 8) Have a can of WD40 handy to spray down the cable sheath when you un-clip it to help with the lubrication of the cable... White grease is much better, but WD will do for a short term fix... 8)

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....... not black.... :pukeright: Standard refurb.... Go for the classy and stylish look, not the ricer black look... I have no idea what they'd look like polished though... Could be interesting... :?

huh? Oh, by the way, WTF is Verien7?!? :?

Mmmmmm, Borbet Ts... Nice... 8) I've really grown to like the Borbet range of wheels... They do some really rather nice wheels in their range. :)

PMSL.... (although that could be due to too much alcohol tonight!   ) To be fair, quite a few of the mods I've done are due to me wanting to get back in my 'rado and not having all of the bits here yet to actually do the major work it needs... The rear wiper (a-la-you!) and the new gauge faces are points in case to this one... I just want my car back in one, drivable, piece... Soon... soon... That's all I keep telling myself... :?

Not as far as I know, BUT there's a way to adjust the cable so that the spring will pull the cable closer and let the switch be pressed... If you look where the cable is attached to the bracket just off the "bunch of bananas" (inlet manifold!) there's a metal clip that goes onto a series of ridges on the sheath of the cable... Adjust this so that the actual cable is just getting tight before the throttle (semi-circular bit of metal) starts to move. This should give you a perfect idle position for the throttle cable... If you find that you've adjusted it and it needs doing again not long after, you need a new throttle cable... :?

I know that feeling all too well!

There's a vaccuum hose that runs from the top nipple on the back of the throttle body to the ECU. This needs to be in spot on condition and EXACTLY 1meter long for the car to run properly... That'd be the first thing I'd check, and then I'd check for boost leaks in the pipework from the 'charger to the throttle body as a leak in one of these would mean that you're not getting the correct airflow into the engine.... May also be worth checking your airflow sensor... hope this helps... 8)

yeah, I'm pretty certain they're 4x108 too... I nearly bought one before I got my G60... Great looking car (IMHO) but WAYYYYYYYY too heavy for the engine sizes.... :?

I disagree Jim... I'd go as far as to say, on reliability at least, the 1.8 16V is by far the best of all of the 'rado family... Early dash, so no heater problems, no supercharger to blow up, no cat to get fouled up, cheaper to insure (and normally to run!) Parts are dirt cheap and easy to get hold of for the engine, and it's still fast enough to put a BIG grin on your face and embarrass quite a few other cars... 8) You can't really go wrong with a combination like that! :D However, I do agree with the last bit, it's the character, class, style and uniqueness of the Corrado that does it for me, I don't give a damn if it's a VR, G60, 20VT whatever, as long as it's pretty true to the original idea of the 'rado then I like it... 8)

I'm not familiar with the traffic rules in other countries, but anyway one Citroén C5 with an aluminium cart came straight infront of my Kadett, when I was in priority... It's a little hard to explain it in English... Makes sense to me... Not good though... Looks like you spent a lot of time, effort and thought on that Opal, shame it went in such a way... :?

I'd bet the boyfriend had a few more dents though!  :2gunfire:

and this'll be a locked thread then... 8)

The website that hosts that picture is down at the moment... It'll probably be back up later on... 8)

I was throwing just under 60miles per day at my G60 to get to and from work... and then about 200 at weekends during the summer just for the crack of driving it!  I intend to be doing similar again when I finish the rebuild... 8)
