Looking for the above if someone has one please? Rams
2. Without leading anyone down the wrong path, just saw the seats for sale and posted it. If the repair is bad, when my new seats arrive I will have for sale cream leather covers for Recaro seats. My new seats, from what I've seen as my seats are in transit they look ok, a good clean and maybe some filler would leave them looking almost new if someone had their eye on the attached link above.... The fronts would probably sell on their own for £900 plus pounds let alone the fact they are so rare.. If he's a doggy seller then obviously stay clear, but happy to sell my recaro covers if they are in good condition...
3. Hi all, apart from smashing up the sump, called a friend out and he came with chemical metal, light and jack.... RAC said as its an accident your not Covered! So manages to drain sump at the road side, metal bond the split and re filled and holding so managed so get home. Big thanks to Alex! Bmth James lent me his wheel and adaptors so I was trying out different sizes to take the 5x112 wheels. My wheels are now split, fully polished. Look great but one of the doses has deeper scratches but the area is where the bolts/studs secure the dish. They've been machine polished and now need a good clean and autosol type polish to make them really shiney. They should be painted by Tuesday and I had the insides colour coded. A few days ago, I also purchased a set of...... Drum roll...... Recaro Corrado seats!! Currently in transit to me. Convinced a German seller to do a deal. They are cream but I want them Trimmed anyway to match the rest. So I may sell the leather covers if they are reasonable up close. I am really happy as the front seats stood out since the rest of the car was re trimmed. I'm Asking my trimmer if he can emboss the recaro lettering into the back section to keep them original... Will See. I remember seeing OSV seats freshly trimmed and they looked awesome. Been quite distant of late, few new things happening but I'm still very happy with her and after swapping my car with my friends Audi RS4 estate he actually said I'm reluctant to return yours! His car was Devine and so refine! You just feel like an armoured god in that thing....

5. That was me! I had an interview for a TV show and missed train and jumped in the car.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
6. Hi all For those looking for these rare seats, see link. Not a bad price at all for what you get! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CORRADO-CREAM-HEATED-LEATHER-RECARO-INTERIOR-/280949034584?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4169de0e58#ht_966wt_984 Rams
7. A tip regarding the slam panel is to have it stripped, powder coated and then painted. They always seems to rust and this will help for longevity. I'm doing the Sam when I find another slam. I did have mine painted and after only 6 months its starting to rust. The painter recommended the above to me. Rams
8. For sure! Seller not responded so far so he's had a day nearly.....
9. Thanks chaps. He really is one of those ultimate friends. He's currently making a custom rear wheel drive Mini with a Volvo turbo engine and custom everything. Hes also manage to mould a Honda S200 dash into it! Looking forward to that test drive. My wheels will go in for polishing in 2 weeks so imagine another month and hlaf till polished, painted, re sealed and on the car? Hopefully a touch sooner. Meeting Bournemouth James soon as hes going to let me try the different spacer adaptors. It did really cheer me up when he told me he fixed them without me knowing. One last Big thank you to everyone for all your advise and comments. I emailed seller pictures of damage and awaiting reply. Hopefully tomorrow now. Rams
10. Little update. I've taken the wheels to a good friend of mine and he said he would ask some he knows about fixing. He then told me about someone that does polishing and is superb. The dishes need a re polish as there are some scratches which I did know about from the seller. I've now got an email address from seller wife's as he was at work and sent him an email in German translated by another German friend of mine. I then received a text from my friend saying a price to have them split, the wheel totally re polished and to have the insides all cleaned up and painted. I then said but lets see if the dishes can be fixed otherwise it's probably cheaper for me to buy anther set. He replied, I've fixed the wheels already. So my friend is a legend, probably knew that he would sort them anyway but I know how he operates. He never brags about anything and probably won't accept anything for doing it but will buy him a nice present to say thank you. So I will have virtually a brand new set of wheels, fully polished and just need to buy sealer and refit dishes. In the mean time, I'm going to see what the seller will do and if he can cover costs for damage or transport company and if anything comes it will all help. So managed to turn around a bad situation into something positive and my Friend Kev said they definitely look like they've been dropped but he said it didn't take him long to sort. The smaller dink was harder to get out than the larger bend. Will update regarding seller/transport soon as I hear more. A few pics of the polishers work.
11. Hey guys, We are a police of our own and actually feel humbled that so many share and feel my concern. My 3 and half weeks of waiting felt like ages, then hearing from Barb that there were 2 big boxes outside made me fly down stairs with one shoe not even on expecting to meet the driver and had a pen knife with me ready to open them up. I walked into the road and saw nobody. Later that day called my neighbours and nobody heard anything or signed for anything. Then I thought, let's see what the fellow forum members recommend and it was my German business partner who said immediately, say they didn't arrive. I said well, I don't want to get into trouble when after all I'm the victim but he said, at the end of the day, they were stupid and probably damaged them and if they take the risk of putting items outside in a risky way they will be vulnerable to covering my loss. It could have been anything in those boxes so it has to be crazy for them to just drop them without signature. My dad said to me that they may have dropped them off without signature if they knew they got damaged and didn't want to accept responsibility so there are so many variations to this transaction but Ulf, my German business contact will speak to seller before we decided what to do next. I really didn't want people to fall out over my dilemma, unfortunately it's difficult to understand someone from a forum than real life and one of my reasons I questioned the content in my post as I could tell if was a fine line but I understood all comments. If it changes the mood, I now have a my feisty girlfriend Barb saying, " are these wheels going to become part of the furniture" and GET THEM OUT OF HERE! Waiting to hear back shortly on the sellers opinion. Rams
12. No, so far the seller is now aware they are damaged in English. Maybe he won't reply to my English message. My German contact will liaise with him tomorrow and go from there. The seller advertised them as good condition and straight etc. Pictures look clear and taken with flash and without flash. It was suggested to me to claim they didn't arrive as they were just left on my driveway with no paper work or signature given. Its now about seeing who will cover the damage and I probably need 4 new dishes. Just as well they are a split rim.
13. That's my plan. I've already starter looking to see if they can be repaired to a true shape? Sent a few pictures to various wheel companies and seeing what dishes maybe available for sale? I've already informed the seller that the wheels are damaged. Did that this morning and no reply. My German contact will call the seller tomorrow as they have spoken before as mediated the sale in German. What's interesting, a few people I've spoken to have told me stories of friends they know that didn't sign for an item and claimed it as not received and were sent another item. it seems quite common! Whilst I know that this would probably pocket me the value, I'd rather not take the risk. Hopefully seller will contact transport company and see if he can get me compensation or if indeed the seller will put his hand in his pocket but very much doubt that. The polystyrene had all been broken down into smaller pieces which ended up in the centre of the wheel and not protecting the dishes. Also they were in the box dish down so no wonder they got butchered. eBay won't really do much because I didn't pay by PayPal so didn't finish raising the case. I've taken quite a few pictures and if I can get my guy to speak to him tomorrow we can ask for his email address and can send him pictures. Can't send pictures via eBay. Will let you know how I get on chaps. Cheers
14. I felt uncomfortable saying they didn't arrive, just hope the seller can work something out with transport company. Eitherway, need to fix or replace the damage and if I can get some money back etc it will be a bonus. The seller will probably argue and say the courier mis treated them and I'm guessing I will be out of pocket but that's the risk I suppose of buying second hand. Thanks for the comments chaps
15. The rims have no scratches where the big dents are. So theres no sign of scraping or hitting a verb, they do genuinely look like they've been mis handled. Or lifted up on a sac truck and dumped down. The box underneath had the most damaged 2 rims and the box on top had much less damage but still damaged. Mmmm what to do? Recipe off poor packaging, abused transport and no paper work. Will report back when resolved but ultimately need compensation from someone to cover cost of repairs or replacements or all my money back.
16. It's a German company. The value could have been much higher and again, how would they prove they were signed for. So it seems Transport Company will be getting a call asking them where my wheels are! I hope there's no issue regarding content in this post, if so, please delete as required
17. I like to be truthful and believe it will prevail but like you say, if they didn't arrive ??? The concern is only that and not a dispute about condition. Ive tried calling the tel number from the couriers website but it doesn't ring and I know the dialling code. Will maybe get my German contact to call courier company tomorrow. I just want to check my neighbour didn't sign for them but he's always called me in the past to say a package was here for me. They were literally place by front of the property. Anyone could have pinched them. I haven't said anything to seller yet and will see what other people suggest. I double checked each wheel again in the sellers pictures and they look perfect. He after all sent them and I sent payment by bank transfer so i was a apprehensive if they would arrive in the first place. Can dishes like these be heated and re formed?
18. Hi guys My wheels arrived today from German. First of all, they were in my driveway and only found this out when my girlfriend was leaving and she said there's 2 big boxes outside with your name on them. So excitedly I ran down stairs and brought them up into my apartment and was instantly thinking, the packaging is a bit doggy but got them out of the 2 boxes and they are all badly damaged. Buckled is not the word! So my contact in German advises me to say they didn't arrive as nobody signed for anything. Not my preferred route. But the wheels looked and were described by the seller to be in very good condition. The sellers pictures show a nice set of wheels and I'm thinking they were damaged in transport. But who is responsible? The seller? Or the transport company? Also if the transport company, is that this side or the German side? They were not packed that well, one box was worse that the other and when lifting the box the rim was dropping down into the cardboard making it easy to dent if it's hit a hard surface. I'm really disappointed but would like to know what I should do. Otherwise, will need all new dishes unless these can be fixed but that's stage 2 of my questioning. Any advise welcomed. 19. Hi all Looking for an OBD2 inlet pipe, the one between throttle body and maf for a vr6. It's the pipe with the deleted hole for the built in ISV the obd2 uses. Just missed out by 50p from one on eBay! Sold for £10.50. Thanks Ramsay
20. Special wheels! Look forward to seeing them all fitted up
21. I think it won't work and you should sell it to me! Lol It does sound fantastic mate, once you have overcome these issues it will be grate. You mentioned adjustment on the rising rate fuel pressure regulator, maybe this is trying to dump too much fuel? Maybe the reg is at fault? What pressure should it be at? I think you need to go OBD2. I have a few parts and if you get the looms, chubby and myself have carried it out successfully and think overall a better setup since charging it. Could be money well spent and a further torque improvement. Not sure how big your bonus was but are you interested in the 263 cams? We probably have ear ache from the gfriends, I said, let's go over for half an hour and see how Craig's car is getting on. A few hours later and I'm getting the death stares whilst your grovelling to the Gfriend on why it's taken longer than suspected. It's always the way.
22. Welcome young man, this is a great forum and I'm sure it's always good to have contacts if you need something from the UK and we need something from the states. All the best with the rado
23. Dave! Fitted the gear shifter I bought from you at National day and all I can say is, it's bloody great! My gear shift vibration has disappeared totally, used to be able to see in first gear especially the shifter moving back and forth ever so slightly and it made a noise where it was vibrating. Also, seems so much more solid, I must have had some worn bushes?! Used some chain spray grease but may clean again and grease up a bit more. There were a few differences in my shifter and the one you supplied which I will PM you about when I send it as curious to know if there are different types between late and early. Very happy with gear change but needs a bit of getting used to and it's night and day difference. Will send you my old one back. Excellent job!
24. Mine does the same and I think it's connected with the steering rack as discs are more or less new, all new mounts fitted and it happens around 70/80 mph and reduces as the car goes faster or becomes less apparent. I will let you know who I get on in a couple of weeks when it gets sorted.
