1. Welcome back! Sounds like things r on the up again. Good to hear
2. I'll check with someone on that as I don't think there are differences?
3. Maybe this could help the involved but I have a spare 40mm PCD adaptor by H and R. It's for 5 stud 5x100 to 5x130. If it helps, I could post it to you for you to copy or alter and depending on the size of the adaptor required, you could just change the thickness? Sure it's easier for you to have it there physically and it's all billet aluminium. Happy to post. I'd like it back though as I plan to make a cup holder out of it. If I can help the forum that way I would be happy. Rams
4. I would buy at £160 allowing to have it cleaned up and the welding repair re done as there's rust behind it from what I can see from the photo.. Rams Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
5. Hey, Just ordered a new plastic lug clip which guides / holds the metal arms and wondered if its straight forward to replace? The new one will be here Thursday and it might be obvious when the new part is in my hand but there's lots of grease covering it and maybe if I clean the grease away I will see a screw hole or does it just pop out? Cheers Rams
6. I did mine at the same time and you can rest assured that it won't give up on a long journey somewhere. GSF ones are original items too. I also re- newed the bulk head screws as these were a nightmare getting off or if yours are ok, definitely recommend copper slipping. Be nice to see it all installed! Question is, will you end up with one spare screw?! Lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
7. The cream leather was damaged during removal and he said some parts were no good so it went in the bin.... Sorry mate ---------- Post added at 6:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 5:59 PM ---------- Just bought the electric wiring loom from German eBay and ordered the 6pin plug i needed from TPS so everything can plug in as it should. Got the last 2 in the UK so that was lucky
8. Hi, Perhaps useless to you but just posted very good condition black front heated seats for sale. Rams
9. His name is Tim and works at K Baggs in Poole but has worked on these privately as he can spend more time on them. Highly recommend him. Happy to pass on his number if anyone is interested and I gave him the Recaro machined Ali symbol so if anyone that needs to use it for their own, just give me a shout and I can pick it up and send if you promise to send back.
10. Since installing new Recaro seats I would like to sell my existing Black Heated leather seats. The seats have the heated elements and both heated elements work perfectly. They are from my 95 Storm model. Photo graphed yesterday and all I did was remove them from the car, they haven't been wiped over etc and will do this in next days but very tidy condition. I have always related them to furniture clinic conditioner and bolsters are not dented, no tears or holes and minor bolster wear to drivers side but I will give them a full clean, condition and matching colour furniture clinic treatment. Will add more photos later. Seats hinges and latches all function as they should. Come complete with shrouds and tilt handles etc. I can deliver as I own a large van if not too far away, for additional small cost but looking for £300.
11. Hi, recently fitted a pair of Recaro specific leather seats. The passenger seat was missing the plug for my cars heated seat loom to plug into. At present they are not electrically wire up as want to have everything ready and do it all in one go. Cheers Rams
12. Thanks Chaps, much appreciate. I'ts always been a child hood ambition to have this kind of spec so I am really chuffed. Would like to get the wheels on next weekend with a bit of luck. Searching for 4 new tyres. I have all the adaptors and looking forward to the car being a bit higher off the ground with the 17teens and have a bit more tuck. Last week my driver side window just dropped down and found the screws had worked loose and came off. Also only found one screw. So i must have refitted after the re spray with one bolt. So bought new 10 mm bolts and now the window is nice and secure and luckily it didn't smash. Also the issues I had with the suspension are all sorted. Thread re tapped and now strut secures as it should. The geoms need doing again as we removed the front suspension and replaced the bearings and mounts with new but will do that after the new wheels are fitted. Would anyone know if I can buy the plug end for my cars heated seat loom to connect into the seat loom? My driver side loom just clipped into the plug on the driver seat but its missing from the passenger seat.
13. Long time with no update.... The seats arrived safe and well with just perfect bolsters. The seats are completed and installed! The passenger seat is missing the plug for the heated loom so need to see if I can buy this plug which would keep it all original. I also wanted the original Recaro symbol embossed into the back rest and set about finding someone to make it. The trimmer came up trumps with a chap he knows that could make it out of ali, he produced the badge to the correct thickness and the trimmer tried the new badge on an off cut and it came out beautifully. I've also had some little extras done such as having all the plastic seats shrouds re trimmed in Alcantara along with the hinging side covers which he reversed the lugs to give the face a smooth finish before being trimmed. Even the seat belt keeps has been re trimmed and should be ready next week. It's taken him ages sculpting them to fit perfectly. Now the exterior all matches and has really lifted the project. It's been one of the most satisfying parts to my project. The parcel shelf is being done at present and that's going to involved stripping all the carpet to get it smooth and then it can be leather trimmed. I had a fair bit spare from the seats as needed 2 hides and he only used 1 and a small bit so seemed rude not too! The gear knob is next as this will be the last standard leather part that won't match the rest. Then the rear new MDF floor and boot reveals will be finished in alcantara so the rear boot will be all nice and soft/sound deadened and matching. The trimmer said he would wire them up to the fuse board for me and would actually like to do it and wants to go round all the bits and do some fine heating and cleaning as he wants to be happy with everything. He's an excellent guy and really proud of what he does and can't thank him enough. He's also very modest and super talented and looking at his own car project, his entire floor pan carpet is alcantara! It's sick and wish he hadn't shown me as its looks just stunning and sumpcious. (Spelling?) I also have my existing heated seats available for sale and happy to get some money back towards the new seats. They will be posted for sale shortly. They are in really fine condition and photoed them as they are without a recent clean but they've benefited from regular cleaning and furniture clinic conditioning. I sat in the new seats yesterday evening for the first time in soft cotton jogging bottoms so not to scratch the leather and wondering how long I can keep that up! Lol
14. Great results mate, well done! She's really coming along now and how is she running? Can you try and find a black sunroof rubber that will fit?
15. Hi all Just at the garage with my mechanic and I've been convinced my steering hasn't been right.... We found this metal part and my mechanic thinks its not needed and perhaps the chap that fitted the coil overs thought it was supposed to be on there? We've just trialled the bearing without the metal washer and soft so good... Just wanted confirmation if anyone can help?

Nice looking machine !
17. I found a company, they have collected today as seller informed so let's see if they turn up in one piece! £132.00 for collection and delivery from Germany to Bmth which is not bad considering the box sizes are larger than average. It was a company called Parcel Link.... So far so good although they were due to collect yesterday but they did call to say they would do it tomorrow instead which they have. 18. Like above Can you put a price on rare items.... I've had to go to Germany to acquire a set of Corrado specific Recaros, wanted them for years and some people are lucky and even buy the entire car for its interior. These seats match the style of the car so well and to have that electric adjustment / heated seats in one, its another step forward. I suspect the modern looms and dash conversions etc will become more and more popular as these cars become more and more rare so people have the best of both worlds... if your in for the long hall.
19. With regards to the windows, can you see bending or bowing on the frames or units/window gaskets? You can normally tell looking at the windows and if operational I generally see no issue. You can contact Gas Safe yourself or via me if you have the boiler manual where it should have completed on the inside page usually all the details relating to that boiler and the installers details. For any new boiler fitted, you have to be gas safe which you know but it costs the installer a couple of pounds to register which in turn correlates with the boiler warranty as often boiler warranty repairs can be declined if not registered with gas safe. I would recommend the owner having an independent gas safety inspection, the same inspection a landlord has to have done once a year. My company do them for management agents and letting agents etc, usually about £40 to £50 plus VAT. That way, boiler flue and emissions / burner pressures and tightness test etc are checked. Any advice is given at the bottom. Usually NTC, not to current standards or fail or it's been condemned. It's not a bullet proof way to check the boiler out completely as a service does more along those lines but if it goes through a gas safety ok then it's safe. I think sometimes surveyors get it wrong, I've delt with many cases where they have made recommendations and I've had to prove otherwise with supporting evidence. A building with internal cracking, light cracking to plaster, they said the wall ties were corroding and were the cause. I made an inspection hole to reveal galvanised wall ties in perfect order. Take a decent trusted builder, if your dads a spark, then between you it won't be hard to find. Insist the boiler is given a landlord gas safety inspection. Tap/knock the window frames and see if they sound reinforced. If building is moving, is this internal or external cracking? Near any drainage? Have the Glass window units blown internally, I.e condensation between panes. You can also contact Fensa to see if the window installers were registered. Option B, negotiate or set up an indemnity insurance policy to cover any eventualities if your worried the deal will fall apart. Then the vender knows you want to complete quickly. Also, if you can, fire the boiler up and have a listen. Does it sound like an old tired kettle or a smooth modern combi boiler? Also, try bleeding a rad with a small bleed key and see what colour the water is to determine how much crap is in the system.
20. I'm told they are approx 15kg each.... Do you recall what you paid for transport costs for the interior?
21. I need to find a company to send my seats to England from Germany. Length 80 Width 58 Height 94 centimeter that's boxed up. Not sure what they weigh if anyone knows? But seller replied saying the packages are too big to send. Any recommendations on who to try? Cheers Rams Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
