Super job. Very happy with that. I would like a new one and second hand one please for driver side. Do they slide in or just press in? The tab on mine is broken and wondered if he just pushed it in place and that's why it broke as the plastic tap has a return. PayPal ok and can send as gift. Cheers Rams

That part number/trim is obsolete. As of March 2011. I can always check other Vw dealerships to see if anyone has stock? It's the driver side I need anyway if anyone does come accross the part. Cheers

Really like the second picture, it just looks ready to rock

Not according to TPS... I emailed them today. His reply was quite vague as he replied saying which bits he couldn't get and no mention of all the bits I asked for. Unless he meant the trim clips are NLA( as he just said mirror housing) I emailed back and had a reply saying the other bits should be in tomorrow so will wait and see. I last bought that trim from TPS about a year ago so hopefully it will be there or I will confirm they are NLA tomorrow.

I needed 4 and bought 10, there's nothing like spares! However it's all these small bits that make everything good

Hi again After a mirror trim housing for the exterior that's small triangular shap and has a screw fixing inside and a central lower tab. I can upload pic if needed. Looking for one in good shape with central lower tab in place. It's the driver side trim needed. Cheers Rams

I had a nice reply saying, those bits you wanted Rams, NLA. The door card poppers they could order. I also asked for the triangular trim that goes on the exterior mirror housing and up the glass/door rubber - 535 853 222. Also NLA. So will be asking for one of them shortly. One of the tabs wasn't fixing correctly and the wind was catching it making a slight humming noise. I kept trying to push it back in but it wouldn't go. Last weekend I took the mirror off and saw someone had bonded some silicone holding it in place so the painter probably damaged it when he took it off whilst pasting the driver side a couple of weeks ago. It was brand new when he fitted it the first time. Oh well. Onwards and upwards
-
I had it removed and painted off the car. It wasn't fitted for months but finally the painter did it. He actually painted it black a while ago and forgot I'd asked for it to be colour coded so when it went in recently he did it them. I did notice today the tiny holder that the metal arms move into/ a type of guide one of the tabs is broken on the driverside. It's still holding but I couldn't tell if this tiny part could be removed as there was quite a bit of grease covering it all up. I doubt it is though? I do prefer it being colour coded, even gave it a coat of wax. Should see a few more horses I recon! Ha ha.

Hi All Need 1 but possibly 2 of these little clips. Mirror housing cover internally. Also need some plastic rear door card poppers. I need about 8 in total please.

Had the sunroof deflector colour coded, managed to get a coat of was on and attend to some niggles here and there. Have a bit of work to do toget the cross overs mounted for the front speakers. I fear the dash may need to come out to have them installed neatly otherwise its the undertrays or Glove box? Met with Phil - nice chap who bought my rear leather seats. His Corrado looks nice and original. Attempted to go to the Dub at the Pub event on Sunday but the carpark was full and didnt want to leave my Car un attended. Hoping for a good day out next sunday and to have a good catch up and put names to faces if attending the National day, will be leaving from Bournemouth and be great to tag along with any others going from the direction. Obviously, safe and slow! A few important updates, in a couple of weeks shes going into have the entire underneath stripped off and cleaned and steamed cleaned, any rust lurking around will be sorted and re sealed. Its something I just want to get done and have piece of mind with all the other work thats gone on, it would be a shame to have a failing under neath. All generally looks and sounds good but Ive been caught out with the driver side cill so once bitten twice shy procedure. Oh, I bought some wheels! just waiting on delivery and should give me the summer look I wanted. Hope it suits the car but I have a feeling they will fit the bill nicely. The dog was not drugged BTW, she was just dizzy watching me wax on wax off Rams

What a difference! Wax on wax off

In Charminster so we could meet at woods or something if that's enroute for both of us? Then we can meet up with another chap at the willit arms pub.... He's saying 11.45 in Wimborne. Does that suit you?

Craig, stick the football on record and come out to play

I think I will be going. Did you want to meet up some where before? Rams

Hi guys, I should be able to check tomorrow and let you know

For me, I fell in love when an old friend had one and I was just a young boy. The shape and interior, especially the bucket rear seats and weirdly, always loved the gear stick location and design over any other car I had seen. Then listening to the exhaust heat shields ticking on after the journey was over. They're all quite vivid memories. There are some amazing cars out there but amazing prices. What other cars have you driven that's made you smile? Even if that's because you fixed a faulty ABS sensor and finally managing to get the ABS light to stay off! I used to import brand new German cars a while back and delivering cars for £30 thousand to sl55 amg money at 90 plus thousand and honestly, at the end of the day, apart from that luxury new leather car smell, I didn't feel done by driving home in my Rado. Nice thread this

I love the delicacy this baby gets. The fitter looks like he's fitted a million screens before, so much so he needs a hair cut! Lol My rear screen has weld burns in it! So will have to be doing the same soon

Is that for the idle stabilisation valve?

Hi there, Can one drop the exhaust etc and fit the shorter shift without cutting the little piece out if the surround? I have a spare shifter so will be sending you mine. Noted to PM you and will send payment of £40. I drove my gfriends TT the other day and as much as its notchy, I like the shortness of the shift. It becomes more capable for town driving and quick 1/2/3 gear changes that your constantly going between. Experienced terrible short shift kits in the past so just pleased to have someone like yourself making quality products as the feed back continues to honour. Just what my rado needs. Rams

TPS are reasonable for discs and pads... Especially if you are entitled to discount. That's where I got mine from anyway.
-
The rear pads and discs - order as normal for Corrado. You even use the Corrado carrier. The fronts, Mk4/Corrado pads and mk4 discs 288mm

Shame your selling such a lovely car, I'm sure someone will snap it up. Those last 2 pictures should drum up enough attention. All the best

Hi all I'm looking for one little clip that holds the mirror housing cover. I seemed to have lost one so my mirror housing inside only clips into 2 slots. It's the metal clip that has a mouth that the plastic slot clips into to hold that piece in securely. Unless its dropped into the door bymistake? If no joy, I'll try TPS. Cheers Rams

Cheers buddy, still no nice front recaro seats so it still looks unfinished as the 2 main seats are the standard ones... I keep trying to imagine them as nice trimmed recaros until I think how much it will cost me! Hopefully a ragged set will come up for sensible money as they will be re trimmed. I'd like to finish off the interior and then look at wheels which are the next calling. I must say, I've enjoyed the drive at the weekend, the Gfriend is away for a week with a course so I've had some Corrado time. Do you think RH ZW1's would suit my car? I've read that they are heavy but I do keep looking at them and know of a couple of sets that are for sale.
