Both lovely seats, I'm also after a set of Recaro front seats. If you do decide that you want to go more towards track use, the CS's would be more in keeping IMO. If you find a set you like, appreciate first refusal if you go down that route. Hope all is well anyway

Hi mate, I was told 215 35 17 is safer and within manufacturers recommendation. Do you think 205 35 17 would be better on fronts? Good to meet you the other day. Had a nice drive home. I always seem to drive faster on the way back for some reason. Bournemouth James has a set with 215 35 17 and thinks its the best size to run, so I was going on his opinion and he said they will give more clearance. So could I run 215 on rear and 205 on fronts - both being 35 profile?

Paintwork looks silky smooth, v nice

Some pics now the Interior is coming together. The under trays, I'm having re done as I would prefer not to see the plastic reveals to the trim. Just the face and underneath we're done and the insides need re doing as they look old compared to everything else. Some nice alcantara will do the job inside. A few tweaks and want to try and get the gear gator surround to sit tighter, there's a slight gab as its been trimmed but should be simple to sort out. I'm now having the seat belt plastic trimmed as in the buckle. They fowl the sea when you pull the seat forward and if you tuck it past the bolster so it doesn't dent the seat it's marked my centre tunnel. Any marks in the leather are obvious and like what they do with the Ferraris the same will be done to mine. I won't do the actual organs bit of the buckle but just the sides. You will see when it's done. She's getting there! I have been searching for Recaros for a while now and I only want the Corrado specific ones, heated and leather so I'm going to have mine re trimmed to match everything else as it looks wrong seeing nice new leather and 2 chairs with older leather. I should be able to sell mint re trimmed heather seats to cover some costs when I source the Recaros. Wheels should be here this week or early next, Bournemouth James is kindly lending me his adapters to try out as he has a range of sizes. Decided on 215 35 17 boots and just working out what to go for. Will give a forum member Mr Lobitas a call as he owns a tyre company. Really looking forward to fitting the new wheels, they have polished dishes and are 8.5 all round. Will put them on and see if they would look smarter being completely polished? They are the RH ZW1's.

My current trim is trimmed, as is the entire plastics running through the car. It just doesn't sit down sometimes when I lift the handbrake. Probably because I broke it when re fitting. Get a bit heavy handed at times. My handbrake handle was done yesterday so here's a pic. I'm actually not going to trim it in leather this time but do it in alcantara to pick up the gear gator. The pics I've got don't show the trim but it's not very obvious as it doesn't have stitch lines but blends in with everything else.

Happy with that. Can pay pal money. What are we looking at postage wise? Is the trim in perfect working order? It's going to be trimmed so not bothered if its scratched or faded etc. Cheers Rams

Hi, looking for the plastic trim that covers the metal arm of the hand brake lever please. Cheers Rams

National Day 2012: Sunday 20 May: Brooklands

Super day and "here here" to the organisers. I did have a spine tingling feeling how that circuit used to be and for a moment went back in time seeing the classic cars racing. There was some footage on TV last night. Always great to put names to faces, hope to see you all again soon. I'm definitely more motivated and have come away realising I'm quite normal with my passion for Corrados. Really liked Dave's engine bay and felt the winner was deserved as it looked first class. -
Great efforts and it's looking extremely nice and shiney!

I have the same issue and I'm convinced it's spring/suspension related. The bolt underneath the top mount bolt with the 2 cut outs that needs a special tool, I'm thinking these have been over tightened or loose and when steering its causing the top mount to move or actual shock movement below the top mount causing the clang. Happened earlier this evening doing a reverse 3 point turn. I've bought the tool and once I find the torque setting for the suspension nut and top mount nut I will report back. Too tight and your pushing against the bearing under the top mount and if it not turning freely - ie been done up with a power tool could be the issue. I seem to hear it more from the drivers side. Failing that, my next thought would be rack/union. The steering on my C is quite heavy.

This is another Ronnie situation. Retire whilst at the top. This is definately one of the top cars. Just naturally brilliant! All the best with what you decide to do. Rams

Looking for the above please anyone. One of my lugs has broken. Attending National day if someone has one spare. Cheers Rams

Guys, I replaced the mirror housing trim today with thanks to Bryan for sending so quickly..... However, the painter has bogged things up. My trim would never sit flush with against the window scrapper end. I removed the trim and found silicone or hard mastic holding the centra broken tab.... Then noticed where I had the mirror casing colour coded, the lug was broken and it had been bonded in. So not very happy he didn't say anything. Also, what it revealed once I had installed everything correctly that there's a small 4 mm crease where he's tried pushing the trim in and possibly where i had been trying to push it in. So not sure what to do now. Now the trim is flush you seen the creased paint just below the trim. Hopefully a repair can be made as its a small area but I fear I may have to repaint the bloody door again and maybe the side so it's all matching. Will see. Fixed one of the doors as it wasn't popping, broken wire. Possibly where the painter removed the mirror when he last painted it. But I'm done with that guy, he's not touching my car again. I can't even be bothered to pull him up on it. What's done is done and even my father said - sac him off! Fitted some new rubber lugs into slam panel for where the grill located into 3 places. It had lots of felting around it to stop it rattling but tidied that up and now the grill is granite. It was a bit loose before when cleaning it I could feel it moving a little. Fixed a trims and replaced push fixings. Got to remove and rear door cards tomorrow and replace poppers and take one of the rear seats out as I have spotted an issue with the trim at the back. Only visable when the parcel shelf is up. The trimmer apologised and said he was ashamed to have let it go out like that so he will sort it tomorrow hopefully. I was supposed to take it to him a few days ago so it was all done for Sunday but I may just leave the seat with him so he doesn't rush it. Hoping my hand brake handle is trimmed so I can get my car back together. It's been naked for nearly 2 years. Re my dog, Jasmine. She's my first dog and all I can say is this bread is crazy and highly strung. But I love her to bits. I was quite sad reading someone post about their dog being out down. I wanted to reply but there's nothing really one can say as it must be very hard to come to terms with. I can even bare thinking about it.

Hey, I had quite a bit of extensive work with my arches. Especially the rears. The tub was cut open, arch flared, welded and sealed etc. I get an occasional rub on one side, so I too lifted her slightly as it was just big bumps in the road but I stiffened up my fronts as they were a bit soft and have less motion because of it. One could look at camber bolts to adjust the settings to give you some more camber which is something I'm considering as I've ordered new wheels. My wheels are spaced out as they spacer adapters and perhaps you could try the same or reduce what you have if you have a spacer. Otherwise, going under the blade maybe the best solution if your not happy with it sitting a touch higher. If your attending Sunday- national day, we could chat a bit more about it. Plus I can have a better look. Is it catching the outer or inner part of the arch?

I did the mirror surrounds and headlight plastic trim and thought the deflector was next in line. Plus my one needed tidying up regardless and knew it would be subtle and give a cleaner line. Thanks for the positive feedback

Euro car parts do the original heater matrix. Also there are some discount codes floating about that offer 30 percent reduction. I reall it being made by a French company.

Hi mate, checked today - the one I have spare I believe to be OBD2. Sorry

R u planning to attend National Day? Thinking of ways to bring more local corrados together
