  1. Hi, do you have the power steering bottle bracket that fixes to inner wing. The bottle slots into it. Cheers Rams
  2. Yes mate, thanks. I tried another amp and all my problems went. So took the amp in to be repaired and should be here next week. It sounds really good though. Super clear. The base hits your stomach. Not going to have it that loud but listened to some Michael Jackson and the years came rolling off. My days of my Jetta and 2x 15 inch Rockford punch bad boys. It would vibrate my glasses off the dashboard! Thanks again for your helpful advise
  3. Will paranoia set in second time round.... How long would you say it took to swap over?
  4. Hi, Cheers guys for the positive comments, I thought you were being sarcastic about the photos! LOL I take them mostly with iphone. There are 1 or 2 taken by a professional if they are the ones you mean? Managed to put the MK4 expansion bottle on the other day, much cleaner looking but my engine bay has had little attention so far and sticking a nice new clean part always shows how bad the rest is. Washed the battery insulation cover and looked again at my power steering bottle holder. I am convinced mine has been cut short where the metal arm fixes to the wing therefor it doesnt sit straight inline with the washer bottle. Beeen trying to get this part for ages as its all one piece and rather not extend the arm to suit. Also sorted out the knock/feed back through the steering wheel. It was loose top metal plates, just needed to tightened the 22mm nut and all is well. Changed the cig lighter bulb and hosing as it wasnt working. The housing part was different so ordered both parts. One thing I would love to do is figure out why I ge vibration in first gear and can sometime feel a pulsing through the gear stick when gently accelerating. It was covered before but never concluded and seemed to be a Storm classic/ late C issue. Has anyone else got this currently? The pulsing is very very subtle, but think the issues are linked. The gear stick moves forward and backwards when setting off in first gear. I also picket up some trim bits i needed for ...... you guessed it, trimming! lol Getting the coat hanger hook trimmed! Should I refit the grab handles???? Changed the rear fuel tank strap bracket to tidy things up. Got quite a stack of Corrado parts to sell now and will be taking pics soon and advertising. Need to clear some space. My JL amp is being repaired, they stung me £174.99 for the repair in the end, less my £50 deposit and only offered 3 month waranty but the amp is decent enough to warant having it fixed. Lost out on a set of Recaros by 20 euros! Quite moody for a few days after lol. Anyway, im bidding on another set now and since typing I've just been out bit but plenty of time left to bid. Hopefully I will get this set but it's a complete interior so might try and ask the seller just to send the front seats and he can sell on the rest and maybe do something on delivery for it unless someone needs rear seats and all other interior bits in cream leather? Have been driving about in my girlfriends TT, picked it up a few weeks ago off a friend of mine, amazing price! Brobably my best purchase in terms of value and just loving the feel of 4 wheel drive. It's so much more comfortable around roundabouts and coming off bends when powering through. I have been changing the rear brakes and some service type stuff and had a good look beneath. Had the luxury of my mechanics ramp and he kept saying, 'why do you keep looking underneath, especially at the rear!' Im thinking, 'can I strip this 4 wheel drive system and leave her with a shell!' Im sure its a NO, but can anything be used from the TT drivetrain wise for converting Corrados into 4 wheel drive? Haldex sounds very appealing. I am convinced that I want to make my car 4 wheel drive now but wondering if it will feel like a better corrado or if it wont feel like a corrado at all? I have always been convinced by the corrado and the way they handle as a front wheel drive car and it just making you feel sure footed. Has anyone had the luxury to comment?
  5. That's something like what I would do! It's the gamble is it tight enough???? Just a little bit more....... Bollocks! Shame though, probably wasn't cheap either!
  6. Nice job, going to look even better when the sun hits them and booted up. When are you likely to have them fitted?
  7. Tough one that... Your car looks stunning and either wheel will work. It's a classic, blonde or brunette. Could you trial run one side in RH and the other in RS? The RS just look classic, RH look striking IMO You will make the right decision eitherway
  8. What about MOT? That's why I stuck mine in the bumper...
  9. Remember what they say, "if it's not rubbin your not veedubbin" Are you keeping the amber front indicators? Speaking of indicators, you don't have any side repeaters?
  10. She looks very nice buddy, looks ready for business. Will keep an eye out for further updates and progress. That splitter must be kissing the ground you drive on! Wish we didn't need front number plates like the states.
  11. That could be an issue as the tailgate was removed and sure it didn't quite have the same gap when closed. The clusters no matter how I set them when I tightened nuts it would only really stay in that position. How do you go about adjusting that? Cheers Rams
  12. No worries, if you ever this way give me a shout
  13. Check fuses first, welding may have blown the fuse? Usually you put a safety device onto the battery when welding
  14. James, I have the rear beam that came off my storm available and front hub carriers. They came off a golf vr6. Dont have the other bits. Obviously you know I'm in bmth. Can send pics if needed. Also have a few spare parts, Rams
  15. Cheers mate, will try again. The all red rears are painted originals. Nori know there is adjustment I should be able to aligne them properly.
  16. My inner rear light clusters don't quite line up with the outer ones. I'm not sure why but wondered if there's any adjustment? Going to try and adjust them tomorrow but from memory, can't think there is. My standard lights seem to have lined up ok, but the all red rears don't. I wondered if there was any difference in right hand drive and left hand drive clusters? Incase I was sent the wrong ones? Cheers in advance
  17. Hi, Whilst under the car the other day, I noticed the dirty old looking bracket that secures to the body / fuel tank stap. The other straps have a bolt holding the strap but no bracket. I noticed some marks on the undersell which may have looked like there was a bit missing. I did remove the straps when they were blasted and coated so maybe I didn't put them back correctly or lost the part? I ordered and fitted the new bracket today but only 1 of the 2 brackets I ordered would fit. Anyone have any pics of these items? Cheers Rams
  18. The famous Scirroco line! You'll get that a lot! Lovely car btw. A good idea is to take a drive in people's Corrados and see what suspension you prefer. The comment above about hating your car if the suspension isn't right is very true but you can find a sensible height and comfort and have that tightness when you give it some welly. Keep us updated with progress. P.s the oil filter housing, there's 2 rubber seals which are prone to leaking. They're cheap as chips and wondered if that's what was leaking on yours? There's a pic in my first members thread I think of the rubber seals if that helps.
  19. Why not swap the badges from time to time, best of both worlds. I like both personally, front on shot, black looks tidy but when you see the side view with the wheels etc, the chrome looks nicer. Also I like the door pods as the grills sit flush, mine stick out that little bit more because the grill is not flush but not sure overall how they compare. Ie how far do the stick out into the floor well. It's nice to accomplish the electrical niggles and have everything working! Makes it all worth while. Good work. Just make sure you hide the car keys from your son! Lol
  20. Shes come along way! But the smiles last longer and longer
  21. What do you think guys? Had the small trim bits that clip into the back of the mirror housing area done. Plus the rear centre armrest. Next week the handbrake handle will be finished, the door insert strips, spare set in alcantara to break up door cards. I am having the undertrays done but not sure if i should go all leather, as in the part you dont see and just do the front? Im asking as they are going to use quite a bit of leather..... the insides or pocket bits will be lined in alcantara just like my rear centre armrest and door speaker pods. Or just leather the front faces and carpet the underneath? Maybe it would act as some more sound proofing? Also, I have a lead on some Recaro Corrado electric and heated seats! its only taken 20 years to find them but its not in the bag just yet. Hope im not tempting fate.....
  22. You probably haven't seen my thread, it's being repainted as I'm not 100 percent happy with it. Back to metal which is probably what I should have started off with but you live and learn. Perfect body works needs to be started from scratch - I'm convinced! Mainly as the paint looks good and a few months later, issues. Take a trip to sunny Bournemouth some time, planning a curry night with some of the guys from here
  23. Very nice my stereo guru friend! No doubt you will always drive the long way home. The engine just looks rights sat in that bay. Can you post a video of how she sounds?
  24. I'm going to be jealous when you get that thing fitted Craig! I would be happy to lend a hand when you get it done at Chubs, perfect way to see what's involved and if it's a route to consider. Will give John a shout and post the curry night, is a week day or weekend better for you after pay day? U up for going to one of the events/gatherings soon? If my car is not at the body shop that is!
