Like lots here I'm in this corrado ownership for the long term now. Not collected many parts over the years... But I guess now is the time to start collecting.... what bit's should i be on the look out for... I guess it's all the wearing parts.

thanks chap's decision made.... I'll treat the C to a car cover then :D

The cars always insured... I assume i can drive the car to the MOT station when SORN as long as i have an appointment booked. as the MOT will run out just after xmas

tempted to SORN the corrado for six month over the winter.... have always taxed it but never used it. The sensible thing is to SORN over winter and save the money especially when 12 months is now £205 and i won't use the rado until spring now. I assume by SORN you don't put any black marks against your car history ???? How easy is it to tax the car again if i suddenly decide i want to use the rado.. It says i can do it online.... but can i use the vehicle as soon as i've bought tax online or at the P/O or do i have to wait a few week before they sort the documents out again..... the car live's in a garage so no problems about keeping it off a public road. and I can drive the car 100 metres before i hit a public road so i can keep things moving over winter. are their any other pitfall i should be aware off ?? TIA

To add my bit as i've been down this road not too long ago. It's worth about 8K ish, okay I may be biased but mines a similar spec not a storm and done 41K i'm the second owner, i bought it when it was six months old with 5K on the clock. I had mine on the market about 18 months ago, up for just under 9K. I had some serious people interested and allot of tyre kicking enthusiast's. I eventually saw the light and decided to keep it, i have no intention of selling ever now. i had some serios buyer wanting to part with round about 8K. My advice is don't advertise here or pistonheads. but use the corrado club GB and classic car magazine, this is where the serious interest came from.

no props their as it's in a locked garage. so something that's easy to lift on and off would be ideal

I'm looking for a car cover for the rado for winter... cars kept in the garage but always get's dusty. I know people have talked about them on the forum before but just wondering what fit's best. and where from. I walk past a corrado in gosport marina most weekends and that has a nice cover over it now... it almost fits it like a glove. I'm guessing it's not bespoke. but it looks soft with a grey / reflective outside... anybody got any ideas what type of cover it is.... never seen the owner to ask.

been for a spin in the car this morning only 5 miles or so to check everything is okay... I ran the Aircon, which has not been used for a while. I noticed when i turned it on a noice of maybe "sticky seals" that have not been opened for along time from beneath the glovebox. took a couple of presses of the min and max button to get some cold air out. I know you should run the aircon often to keep the seals working and have a re gas every so often... but is there any other service things to do to a diavia air-con unit fitted from new. it must be working okay i have water on the drive from the air co unit.... :D

nice looking G60 in blue in gosport (premier) marina car park this evening.... anyone here ???
-
I would guess it's a buyers market these days considering the age.... If your buying... Some have lasted better than other's... some have been upgraded / modified / resprayed etc..... But I guess the insurance companies pull a figure out from somewhere I would hope mine would not conform to a parkers / glasses guide for a corrado VR6 :D

No the seats are in the up right position, hence looking odd and crap. :gag: The rears do have caps so do look nicer. It's an 2010 executive model in monza silver, with the new auto start / stop when you sit in traffic and at the lights. It's a lovely motor car!
-
thank U that's the answer I like but they look bloody awful... I'll try and get a pix up later (Currently locked out of Photo bucket) they look like this which is in your webpage link but extrude at least 1 inch out into the base of the seat which looks pants. here we go what do the panel think ?? serve a good purpose but look pants

can anyone help please..... before i make a prat of my self at the audi dealer :D Just bought a brand new Audi A4 Avant S-line. It has the S-Line half leather / aracantara seats in it. However the passenger seat looks odd almost not been made right... It has 2 U shaped brackets at the back of the base of the seat.... I've not looked at any other cars like this at the moment.... And because it's got to go back for a few warranty issues i was debating to say anything.... The only other thought i had, is it may be for fixing a baby seat in ????? if so they look bloody awful at the base of these rather nice seats. there's nothing in the driver's manual. can anyone advice before I say something stupid.
